Push It

Good afternoon everyone! This morning I did 4DS/LIS. I still love that workout...it's a lot of fun and the music is good. My son kept thinking she was saying Mama instead of Mambo which was kinda cute.

More problems at the school today have me down and out today. I am so stressed out about the school stuff that I even spaced out a meeting earlier. The short story is that I found out his teacher has isolated him in the classroom -- similiar to what happened last year. There was no communication that things were going very badly in the class other than what happened yesterday and apparently, she isolated him earlier in the week. The last time I talked to her in person was during the Halloween party and she said he was doing really well. The school even has a system for communicating behavioral issues and for some reason, she chooses to not use it. I have no idea how to facilitate communication with his teacher. If I email her, she often doesn't respond. If I try to talk to her briefly before class, she gets annoyed. I have had some measure of success talking to her after school if I can catch her in the classroom. However, I have no idea when she leaves or when she has a classroom break. I hate to see him (or any child really) isolated like that even though I understand why she would feel she needs to resort to that. I don't know how I can help the situation at school if I am not there to witness it and if no one is saying a word about anything. It's extremely frustrating and seems to be an ongoing issue with that school.

On the upside, today was Pie Day at work and I was able to indulge in several slivers of tasty pie. It was nice of the company to do that for us! I also dropped off my nephew's first package at the post office today. I hope he likes what I sent him.

Jennifer
I need to try out the Bible Butt workouts! You guys all rave about them it's definitely go me curious! Are you doing any HC workouts too? I thinks it's amazing that you find time to workout in both the morning and the evening! That is definitely dedication!

Natasha
Thanks for the update on the Songza -- I'm glad it worked out for you!
Daryl definitely looked hot feeding that baby. I really like the way his character is evolving. I hope they don't kill him off. He is one of my favorites! Rick is definitely loosing his hind and becoming very unstable. You know, Shane was a little crazy too with some of the stuff he did but I always kinda felt back then he was the only one sometimes that was grounded in reality. He saw the situation for what it really was sometimes and responded to it. I think Rick is slowly becoming more like Shane.

Have a great day everyone!

Stacie-- LOL about the momma vs. mambo. That is too cute. I would like to suggest that you schedule a formal conference with the teacher so you can have her undivided attention. Sounds like you may be trying to talk when you drop your son off for school ( I'm not sure) but her focus should be keeping an eye on her students and not an in depth conversation with parents. Answering questions usually results in more questions so that is why a conference should be scheduled. You may want to ask to meet with her and the counselor. I am a counselor and I consider myself a strong advocate for my students and I am able to communicate concerns positively to parents, listen to parents and collaborate with all parties in the best interest of the child. The focus is and should always be the child!! Write down your concerns before the meeting and think about the purpose of the conference. Sounds like you want to express to her that you are both concerned about your sons inappropriate behavior at school and you want to work together as a team to address the issue. Identify the things you are doing at home. However, you also want your son to know that people make mistakes and it's important for him to learn from his mistake and identify how he can try to make it better-- ex. Writing apology note to student and include an extra really cool Pokemon card that he had to purchase with money from his piggy bank. Your son is young and you don't want him to think the world will not forgive him if he makes a mistake or his teacher will not either. However, you do want him to understand the consequences of losing friends if this continues. How does your son feel about his teacher? Is he sensing she doesn't like him or care? My experience shows that teachers always respond that is not true---I do like him it is the behavior I don't like. Which can be true! As a counselor, my concern is how the child feels--- not the adult and trust me, I say it. My teachers love me because i can say the difficult things they mat not want to hear but they also know i am skilled at finding a way to share something that the parent may find easier to hear from me than them. Counselors bring balance. That is why it is important to bridge the relationship gap. A conference will be the time to discuss the isolation. Today's schools are using PBIS ( positive behavior intervention system) to change behavior. Isolation is not positive. Talk to your school counselor and try to get a conference soon. I am sure you all can work out a system to maximize your son's success at school. Good luck;). I work in a middle school now but I spent 12 years in an elementary school prior and I understand the importance of those young years.

Oh well---I better run so I get in a short workout on the elliptical.

Hi everyone !!

WARNING:LOTS OF CONTENT BELOW. I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE.

I'm thinking of how I'm going to do an Xtrain rotation. I know Cathe will do one, but she usually has a 6X workout week, and will most likely work legs 1X/week. I need to find a way to accommodate a 5X workout week with the 6th day being Yoga and fit in 2X legs days (whew!). Here is my loose plan:

D1-UB split (bi's & tri's)
D2-Cardio (low impact hiit or tabatasize)
D3-Legs+rear delts
D4-Cardio (hard strikes)
D5-UB split (chest, back & shoulder's)
D6-Yoga + 100rep challenge for legs :)eek: Barbell Glute Thrust anyone??)
D7-off

OR Crosstrain Xpress Style (1 or 2 body parts each day). Approx. 60min workout times.

D1-UB split premix (bi's only) + Cardio
D2-Legs+rear delts premix + Cardio
D3-UB split premix (tri's only) + Cardio
D4-Legs + Shoulder's
D5-UB split premix (back, chest) + Cardio
D6-Yoga 30min + cardio 15min
D7-off

What do you all think?

BTW, my workout yesterday was a 3rd attempt at Yoga Max and trying to like it. I did it at 7:30pm, with the lights dimmed, and would have to conclude that it was a perfect light Yoga to relieve my stress and stretch out my muscles. I am starting to accept Yoga for what it is and what it is not. I can't expect a kick-butt sweaty workout all the time, and that's ok. My back and muscles felt great, so mission accomplished :).

Stacie
Why do I keep calling Daryl, Darren?. I'm bad with remembering names, I will admit that. I can't really discuss what my feelings were at that exact moment when he was feeding the baby, but I did feel certain emotions throughout my entire body...most of them R-rated ;).
The advice Heartymax gave you was excellent. I'm truly sorry about all the difficulties going on with your son and school {{{hugs}}}. Hang in there :).

Jennifer
 So you did the barbell glute thrusts??!! AND Butt Bible to boot!! How are you feeling today? Loved your workout yesterday BTW, it was awesome .
I hope things went well at work yesterday :).

Thank goodness I was able to copy/paste some of this from my other check-in! Have a great day!

Good morning,

This morning I did Circuit Max - an oldie but a goodie. It's definitely one to keep on hand for those days when you want a semi-gentle mix of cardio and weights. I love the cardio parts - there's a mix of everything... hi/lo, kickbox, step, and the weight work is classic. It's about 60 minutes so I had to cut out some of the pushups (which are at the end) but that was okay with me:)

My buns were feeling yesterday's workout but not too bad. I think they appreciated the workout today - keep them from getting too tight.

Tasha,
Both your options sound great, and since your 2nd option has more cardio than the other I think mixing it up is perfect.
I say go for both and alternate/mix where you see fit.

Your thoughts about Yoga Max make sense. Changing the thought process is the start of all changes, right?! I'm glad you were able to get such a great stretch, and I also am trying to work on doing more Yoga. Cheers to us:D

By the way, you were right - Cardio Kicks is the name of the workout I was trying to think of. I didn't end up doing that one, though. I do like it, but on a level of difficulty it's probably at 60%.

Stacie, I'm sorry about this rough patch, and the teacher sounds like she needs some intervention - it's a big deal to communicate with you. I hope the 3 of you can fit in some sort of discussion.

Yes, the Butt Bible is good - in fact I went ahead and bought the DVD set ($19.99/Amazon) because my laptop is not a very good one and it freezes up on me often... so I figure I can support Pauline anyway - that's the instructor's name. She deserves credit.

Yum - Pie - small slivers are the best because it's all the flavor without all the sugar:D

I have to get to get to work. It's going, slowly but surely we will make our deadline today.
Have an awesome day everybody!

Good morning! No workout yet -- I plan to tonight.

Last night we went to a salad buffet with my neighbor. It's always nice to see her. I did have to tell her something. She is a very pretty older woman with a heart of gold but she does have a weight problem. It's not her weight that bothers me but the disparaging remarks she says about herself due to her weight. I finally told her that I think she is wonderful and that she should stop that. I wish that our schedule was a bit less busy because I wouldn't mind going to gym or for walks with her.

Last night I also had Tyler tested for Math proficiency at his Kumon school. Since he started Kumon in February, he has improved his reading almost a full grade level which just about puts him where he needs to be. He tested 3/4 of a grade behind in the Math so I think in December I will enroll him in the Math Kumon too. I was thinking last night that he has been getting special help in school since preschool and nothing seemed to really help until he started Kumon. It's kind of expensive but it definitely works.

Tonight I am supposed to buy a free standing heavy bag from someone off of Craiglist! I hope it works out. Tyler will be able to use it to practice his karate punches and kicks and I should be able to use it for MMA Boxing and the new strike DVD in Xtrain. It felt like a bargain for only $25. Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't leak!

Heartymax
Thank you so much for the advice. I was actually hoping that you would respond since I know you work in the education field. We don't have a school counselor here (at least not that I know of or have heard of it) so instead I talked to his IEP case worker about scheduling a conference the week after next. I spent some time calmly talking to Tyler too. He said this morning that he actually likes sitting by himself right now because he was tired of getting in trouble with the teacher for talking. He says he likes his teacher but he is such a loving kid that he likes everyone. I will keep pinging him now and and then to see how he feels about things. I will still bring up the communication issues in the conference because it's a big deal to me. It's my son and I often feel I am the only true advocate in the school that he has.

You are right that I was trying to briefly talk to her while the other children were present. I can understand though that the focus should be on the children during that time. It was just hard because written and email communication has completely fallen by the wayside. Hopefully the conference will get us all on the same page. I really dread them though because most of the time it's almost completely negative feedback and it always feels like it's a case of me vs them. I would prefer more of a teamwork approach but thus far it has never happened. The IEP case worker seems to really like him though so maybe this one will be different. My son seems to be one of those kids where people either really love him or really dislike him.

I wish we had people in our school who were like you and were able to see both sides of issues. Your school is very lucky to have you there!

Natasha
Thanks for the hug! It was definitely appreciated.

I think your Xtrain rotation looks great! I am wondering too what combos Cathe is going to come up with. She had said awhile back that they were going to update the workout manager with all the Xtrain workouts so that people could starting working on the 1RMs before the DVDs ship. I wonder if they will still do that. I would be super helpful if she did!

100 reps with the hip thrusts sounds crazy! That will definitely bring on some DOMS!

No worries about the Darren/Daryl thing! I knew exactly who you were talking about! I read some spoilers about the upcoming episode yesterday because I was so excited about it.

Jennifer
Thanks for the info on the Butt Bible DVD set. That's something to look into. The extreme DOMS I have right now from doing TBT means I definitely need to do more lower body work. So many workouts and so little time... :D

Happy Friday everyone!

Hey all!! No workout today...I just wasn't in the mood :) I did Athletic Training on Wed and KPC(no abs) yesterday, so I got my four workouts in this week. I think I will do HC tomorrow though. I really wanted to get one of those in this week.

For some reason I had some dread about doing KPC. Maybe because I'm usually really tired by the end. But yesterday I finished it and I seriously thought there must be another combo because still have full energy!! I was kind of excited about that :) I'm sure it's the extra rest and HC helping me out there!!

HeartyMax
You will like HC!! They are really good workouts!!
That was some good advice about meeting with a counselor. I stay in contact with my kids teachers, but I've never thought of using the counselors that way!!

Stacie
First of all <<HUGS>> I've been through some of what you are experiencing. My daughter stole the daycare aid's cell phone when she was in Kindergarten #sigh. Luckily, I found it and was able to return it before they had spent any money to replace it. My son has a learning deficency specifically in reading. He also had attention issues and some short term memory problems, which make things more difficult for him in terms of learning. And to top it all off....he's STUBBORN!! My son is in 6th grade now and has been on an IEP program since the beginning of the fourth grade. I knew he wasn't learning to read with the way it was being taught in school, but I had no idea what to do. We were doing hooked on phonics at home and I sent him to Sylvan the summer between his second and third grade year for math and reading. Both helped to some degree, but it was not enough. I was so relieved when the school stepped in and did what they call an 'intervention' based on his test scores to find he was having problems. They made some changes for him in terms of reading, which I still found lacking. I tried a private tutor and two other reading programs at home. The final reading program really helped him. He could not understand how to sound out the words, and that last program visually gave him a way to do that. Visual things work for my son. He still reads slower than the average student and his reading level is usally just slightly behind the rest of the class, but every year he closes the gap a little more. We continue to work on it and now I just look for continuous forward progress and I also like to make sure that no matter what his reading level, he is learning the material in all classes. Lack of reading skills translates into every other subject...it's so important.

We have also had problems with teachers. My son has a smart allicy streak in him. Combined with not really wanting to be different and thinking he's right when he's wrong, it has gotten ugly a couple times!! I've definately had meetings with teacher to help guide my son in the right direction. And I often have to provide specific examples of how just two words in his sentence drastically changes it's meaning. But I can honestly say...we have some WONDERFUL teachers in my school district. They have bent over backwards to help Brandon. And when a teacher sees that a parent wants to help with their child, they really want to help that much more. I think teachers are starting to get used to parents that just don't care about kids. I've had many teachers tell me that they can't even get the parents to return their phone calls about a troubled child. I'm hoping that you will find that your teachers are also very willing to help when they see how much you are willing to help.

I have mixed feelings about the isolation thing. Brandon's social studies teacher just told me that see moved Brandon to the back by himself. He also likes it back there. He's more focused(he also happens to be class clown) and is often in trouble for talking. So the new seat is working for him. I think as long as the kids understand it and they are comfortable with it, it can be a good thing. Sorry this was so long, but this is my soap box topic!! :)

Tasha
I'm trying to figure out about the rotation also. I think I'm going to hold off until it gets here and until I can see them. I would like to keep one HC workout in the mix, but we will see.

Jennifer
I miss doing the group exercise classes at the gym!! Those were always fun. I'm glad you are liking yours, but I still don't know how you do those two a days...LOL!!

Hi there, it's Sunday night.

I didn't work out at all on Saturday, but this morning I did Athletic Training.

It seems like I actually had a weekend - not busy at all, spent a lot of time watching Breaking Bad on Netflix. Better Call Saul in Season Two was the last one I watched. Talk about intense! I was practically holding my breath when they were taken to Tuco's house way out in the desert.

Toni, I saw that you did that one (AT) recently - did your hamstrings sore? That one seems to get me good in those right places.
That is awesome that KPC was easier; a sign of good conditioning. I'm so glad you're still doing the HC workouts. Now that my shoulder is better I want to give it another go.

As for the 2 workouts, I do the morning workout for me (hard) and the evening workout is more like something fun to do; it's energizing and a great way to get out during the week:) Honestly, I haven't had a gym class yet that has ever touched the intensity of Cathe DVDs.

Stacie, were you able to do any workouts this weekend?
Did your nephew get your care package yet?

Tash, great combo - the high intensity interval plus a solid upper body workout. 65 minutes is perfect:)

Hi Heartymax!

I hope you all are doing well. Laters!

Stacie,
I forgot to mention your neighbor... it's great that you are her friend, she sure sounds like she could use a boost:) Hopefully you and she will get some time to walk or dog jog:)

Good morning ladies :):)

Yesterday I completed a Lower Body Bonanza!

Low Max (30min) +
High Reps lower body only (20min) +
Gym Style Legs floor work only (20min) =
:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Not even 24hrs in and I am already starting to feel it YAY :D.

Jennifer
Better Call Saul is an amazing episode! Saul is a pivotal character. Expect a lot from him in upcoming episodes. Tuco is SO BAD . He has no soul.
I love Circuit Max! It's an oldie, but a fun goodie!
Thank your for the feedback on the rotation :).
I was thinking of buying blocks for Yoga. Do you have them?

Toni
WTG on doing KPC and not feeling drained at the end! That's wonderful progress!
Colleen is also wondering how she is going to do HC and an Xtrain rotation. If she comes up with anything, I will let you know ;).

Stacie
The lunch with your neighbor sounded lovely. Hopefully she will see you as a good influence and possibly start to change her life -- if that's what she wants for herself. I believe that when people criticize themselves, it's actually a cry for help.
I hope the Kumon helps Tyler with Math :).
COngrats on the Heavy Bag! I am super jealous! I will keep my fingers crossed that it does not leak!
Thank you for the kuddos on the Xtrain rotation.

Hope this Monday goes smoothly for all of you :)

Hello!
This morning I did the step portions only of BM2. Whew! It felt great!

Tasha, OMG, you are blasting your LB good! Such a great combo, too - the step/cardio, high reps, and GS floor work combined - I'm glad you're already feeling it:)

I have a yoga block and it helps tremendously! The chiropractor tells me not to bend deep into forward into folds (back flexing is hard on the spine) so I find the block very helpful especially in those instances.

I also use a strap sometimes; it helps me increase the stretch in my hamstrings so I can keep my back on the floor and really pull my leg towards my chest.

Tuco is a horrifying character! I tell ya', anyone who is even thinking about making their money by making that product has GOT to be thinking twice!

Do you have any kind of holiday coming up besides Christmas? I know your Thanksgiving was early last month but as you know our US Thanksgiving is on Thursday. I'm gift wrapping for donations to the Greyhound community on Black Friday and Saturday. I'm not very good at wrapping - I am of the gift bag generation - but I am getting better at it:)

Sounds like you may be right that we won't be getting Xtrain until the beginning of the year. I'm anxious but of course I prefer them to be edited properly rather than rushed to us. So Stoked!

Have an awesome DOMSing day!

Good morning everyone! I meant to post over the weekend but time just slipped away from me. I did get the heavy bag and it's pretty nice! The couple I bought it from was really nice too and just so happened to be RKC certified kettlebell instructors! The wife even offered to do an hour training session with me for free. They had all this exercise equipment because they had to close the gym that they owned. I might see take the wife up on her offer since the bells tend to tweak my back a bit which means I might be doing something wrong. They did talk me into buying a kettlebell too. I wanted another one but the husband changed the price right before I was going to buy it because it was Dragon Door bell. It did look pretty nice though. I have been thinking of emailing him again and making an offer on it.

Saturday, I didn't work out. I was feeling kinda down in the dumps so I went out to get some items for the care packages I am making for some troops overseas. I also went to visit some family and my cousin took me out for a couple of drinks. It was a lot of fun! He is super funny and was introducing me to people he knew. His girlfriend got really mad at him for it though. I'm not exactly sure why. My other cousin is trying to set me up with a guy named Don. Ironically, Don and I talked on the phone for awhile because my cousin had borrowed my phone to call him and Don called back later on when I was already home again. He does seem really nice and everyone said he was really attractive -- even my Aunt Stella. Very interesting!

Sunday, we got some more stuff for the care packages and took my neighbor with me. She had a tire go out on her car and her boys decided to take care of fixing it but it's taking them a long time. One is checking out the prices of new tires and the other is trying to get her to buy tires from his friend. I have no idea when she is going to get her car back. Anyway, we had a nice time and she finally let me take her out to dinner. She is such a nice lady...and I know she gets lonely.

Before we went out for errands on Sunday, I did The Viper from the Terminator DVD. That is a long but good workout! There is a part duing the bicep work that Cathe lets out this evil laugh out of the blue. I started laughing so hard I nearly dropped the barbell!

Toni
Thank you so much for your post! It really helped me to know that I am not the only one who goes through school trouble. I am sorry that you have had problems too. I guess some kids are just more strong willed than others. I am glad that you found a reading program that worked for him. I tried doing the worksheets and stuff with my son too but I would get too frustrated or we would get busy and it had zero impact on him. Thank goodness another parent told me about Kumon or I think Tyler would still be way behind on his reading. I know exactly how you feel about the child thinking they are always right...Tyler gets into that mode too sometimes. Hopefully, these are just growing pains and that things will settle down when they are both adults. Thank you again!!!

Natasha
Wow! That is an awesome lower body workout that you did! Bring on the DOMS!!!!

Honestly, I think some of my neighbor's self esteem problems are caused by her sons. She tells me things they say and it sounds like they are always critizing her. It makes me kinda mad sometimes. I think they do that because they blame her for their childhood not being the best -- it feels like they have some resent about that. She is a good mom and they probably don't realize all the things she went through with their dad. He had a severe drinking problem and could be pretty mean to her. I think she took all of that onto herself and shielded them from that. I feel really close to her because in many ways our marriages were very similiar. I hope Tyler doesn't grow up to feel the same way!

Jennifer
That's very sweet of you to give some presents away to the Greyhounds! I am sure the owners/caretakers will be very happy -- even if the wrapping isn't the best!

Our trip to San Antonio is still on! One of the moms on the Facebook group I joined posted a picture of the Christmas lights on the San Antonio riverwalk. It looks breathtaking! Apparently, they light them the day after Thanksgiving. My nephew finally called and said he will be able to spend quite a bit of time with us which is awesome! He likes being in the Navy and is really happy. I have an order from oatmeal raisin cookies and pumpkin bread. I will be making those Tuesday night before we leave Wednesday morning! He didn't get pick up his package yet but he said he would today. I am pretty sure he is going to like what I sent him.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning,
This morning did Cross Train Xpress Kickbox (it's a good 30 min workout), and I followed that with CTX Upper Body Split. Wow, that's a tough one! It's fairly long when paired with the kickbox so I had to cut out some biceps and skipped the abs but even doing that it was a GREAT workout! My arms are still tired:cool:

Stacie, I didn't realize the Terminator DVD has weight work, I was thinking it was all cardio. I did one of the workouts and it was all cardio but I will have to look at it again. Thanks!

That's so COOL about the care packages to the troops and getting your neighbor involved. Speaking of, I hope she gets new tires soon. I bought a Living Social deal to support the USO - anything to support the troops, right?!

That is AWESOME about the people who had the gym and getting their equipment. If you get the training and find out you were doing something wrong regarding the kettlebell swings let me know please, because actually I'm not sure what the benefit really is during the hip/bell swing. I don't quite get that move I guess since it's not really for the shoulders.

So... Don... he sounds interesting!

Oh, as for the gift wrapping -- we wrap gifts and collect donations for doing so at Barnes and Noble; the donations go to the Greyhound Companions of MO. However wrapping squeaky toys would be fun for the dogs:) We do have a local Pet Food Bank and I have donated to them before... but this is a bit different since all the money goes to help the dogs who need to be moved from the race track to a farm or to a foster home or to a forever home.

The Riverwalk is really cool, and with Christmas Lights decorations I can imagine how beautiful it will be! I'm so glad you get to go:D

Have a great day, everybody!

Good morning fit ladies!

Yesterday Bella got a haircut then we went to visit Santa for a pic. She was sooo good! I will post a pic here later .

My w/o was hiit 30/30. I did it to Cardio Hip Hop from Songza . After the 30min was up, a really good song came on from P.Diddy and I wanted to keep going :D. I put on MIC and did 15min of the high impact section.

This whole week I have the challenge of doing my w/o's past 7:30pm. I can't go 4 days without doing anything, so I will have to suck it up and just do it. Xtrain premixes would have come in pretty handy right about now.

Yes, my butt and legs are DOMS'ing, especially my inner thighs. On a DOMS scale of 1-5, I give it a 3. I was expecting an excruciating 5+ ;).

Jennifer
No, no holiday's coming up except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Which is fine by me!
I love how you donate to charities :). What a very admirable quality. I'm convinced you may possibly be a perfect human being ;).
Great job on CTX kickbox + Upper Body! I heard that CTX UB split was crazy tough!
I had a feeling Xtrain would not be avail 'til January. I always feel as though with SNM's estimated release date, they shoot a bit too early. I think they should give a much later date, and then if it's released early, great, if not then at least there is no disappointment.
Thanks for the tip on the Yoga blocks. I will probably pick one up today at the drugstore.

Stacie
I LOVE that you are making care packages for the troops! How amazingly wonderful of you! We had a soldier, who was born and raised here in our small city, die this year in Afghanistan. To commemorate him, there is now a street named after him. The whole city was pretty devastated -- he was only 21 years old :(.
Yes, Don sounds very interesting ;);). I like the name, reminds me of Don from Mad Men :D. When/if you go out on a date, you must kiss and tell ;).
I heard The Viper was crazy! WTG on doing it .
I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor and her sons :(. She is lucky to have a friend like you in her life.
Have fun with the Heavy Bag! Did I mention I am super, duper, jealous!

Gotta run! Have a good one ladies!

Hello everyone!! I've worked out every day this week so far :) Monday - LIC, Tuesday - IMAX 2, and today was pretty lack luster!! I attempted HC V4, but I just didn't feel like working that hard. I switched to CoreMax - Med ball. Ok, so when did CoreMax get easy?? It was literally easy...just insane. I'm going to have to do AfterBurn tomorrow to get more core work in.

I'm really excited about XTrain. I'm hoping it's here by the end of the year. It seems they are getting close to finishing.

Tasha
Can't wait to see the pictures of Bella!!

Jennifer
I actually skipped the leg section the last time I did AT. I had just done three days of heavy leg cardio and I needed the break for my legs. Besides, that step portion in the beginning is a leg workout for me :)

Stacie
Congrats on the heavy bag!! I would really love to get one of those.

Ok....need to start work so I can be finished for the week...whoot whoot!!

Happy Gobbles Eve!
This morning I did the cardio portion of Slide and Glide - it seems it should be easier than what it is but I tell ya' I am sweaty and ready to be done with it by the time it's over, and that's only about 20 minutes!

Then, since I received my Butt Bible DVDs I did most of L2 again. I would have kept going but I had to get to work.

BTW, the BB DVD set also comes with the Upper Body sections L1-L3... I doubt it will be as heavy/intense as Cathe, and the workouts are 20/30/40 minutes, HOWEVER based on how effective BB has beenI will not doubt that the upper body workouts will be decent (and Pauline's arms do look fit). I wonder which exercises she does... I'll let you know.

Tash, I read that you told Stacie that she must kiss and tell!:D You are so funny!:D But *Stacie*, what ever did happen with that Cowboy?

Looking forward to seeing Bella's picture. I bet her haircut looks adorable. I'm so happy to hear that she was such a good girl:D What did she tell Santa she wants for Christmas? I'd ask if she was afraid to see Santa but, being your daughter, I'm sure she is fearless:cool:

It is interesting that your DOMS wasn't as bad as you expected, I'm thinking that means you've gotten stronger or you slacked off. Just kidding about that one! Actually, though, I wonder if part (and only part) of the reason is because you did another great workout the day after which may have helped reduce fatigue.

How fun that the Songza motivated you to keep going!

You didn't say why you have to wait until 7:30 to do your workouts but that would definitely be a challenge. As you said, something is better than nothing!

By the way, I couldn't agree more... it would be better for SNM to post a ship date later rather than earlier. Definitely would have less people being a bit bummed and more people being happier if they shipped early. Actually there is still a chance they could get them out by December 1st... and technically winter isn't until December 21st, so "Late Fall/Early Winter" is still a possibility.

Toni it is AMAZING that you now find Cathe's CoreMax easy! Isn't that an awesome accomplishment?! Congrats on all your workouts, too - I find that the more results I see the more motivated I am to keep it up, it sounds like that's the case with you too:)

Ah - gotchya - skipping the leg part in AT after your previous leg works. I wish step was enough of a leg workout for me but it doesn't seem to hit my glutes and thighs the way I need it to so I must focus more effort on *those* parts. But that's okay, I'm just glad there are so many premixes and workouts to choose from!

Have a happy, safe, and Thankful Thanksgiving - I am thankful to have you rockin' chicks to work out "with." And of course, that we're healthy enough to workout, and all the other countless blessings to be thankful for. HUGS!

Hello ladies! If I don't check-in tomorrow, have a Happy Thanksgiving :)

I have to adjust my entire w/o schedule for the next two weeks (DH is working 12hr shifts, so I have to wait until Bella is sleeping to get my workout in). The plan is to chose shorter w/o's in the evening on weekdays, as I don't really have the energy or time to fit in longer/intense workouts. Yesterday I did Supreme-90 Day Shoulder's & Arms (35min). This workouts packs a powerful punch in such a short time. Tom Holland reminds me of Cathe a lot, that's why I have not neglected his w/o's. What I love about Tom is that he encourages the women to pick up a heavy/challenging weight to take you through 8-12 reps. The thing that really bother me though, is how the exercisers go at different speeds . If he would have paid more attention to detail in this series, I would be giving it an A+.

I've checked-out Butt Bible UB workouts on youtube, and yes they look pretty tough and decent. It's all high reps/low weights I believe. Perhaps since I'm on a time crunch this week and next, I can give them a go . I can't wait until you come back an give your reviews!
I'm trying to post the Bella & Santa pic here, but I'm having difficulties with the file . She told Santa she wanted...get this...A PUZZLE! Out of all the things she asks for, really? A puzzle? Meanwhile back at the ranch, she asks me for an ipad .

Toni
Congrats on Core Max being easy! That's pretty awesome . WTG on working out every day this week too :).

Ugh, 5 loads of laundry later and I'm pooped :(. Bye bye for now :)

I'm getting my kids iPad Mini's for Xmas. If you are thinking about getting Bella one, order now. Here in the states NOBODY has them in stock. I ordered from the Apple Store the other days and the projected delivery date is Dec 11th. Hoping its not late.

Short check in today but I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We made it to San Antonio but around 530am so everyone is tired. We left late because my boss at the last minute insisted that I get a bunch of stuff done which ate up a lot of time. Anyway, happy turkey day everyone...I hope you have a great day!

HAPPY TURKEY DAY TO MY FIT USA BUDDIES!

Eat, drink & be merry :p:)

Yesterday's w/o was TBT LB. It's funny cuz' I didn't think I worked that hard, yet my butt is killin' me today!

Today's w/o will be Supreme 90-Day Back & Chest and perhaps a short Tabata section from TTM or CF.

Toni
Thanks for the heads-up on the iPad. Mark and I think Bella is a bit too young for it still. We were looking at something similar at Toys R Us, more suited for younger tots. I'm glad you are able to get one for your kids though! They are definitely very cool .

Hope all you ladies are enjoying this special time with family & friends :).
