Good morning,

Agility class yesterday was good, except Keegan again really did not want to be there. I have to decide whether to retire him from this and just keep up with the obedience.

Lori, nice workout! How long would that Live workout be if you had completed the core work? No problem on the SB special....I probably would have purchases and maybe not done...So many choices, it's overwhelming. Those ropes look dangerous! :).

Diane Sue, thanks for the tip on Amazon Music. Yes, I downloaded the Amazon app. I got pretty frustrated with it yesterday. In the past, I downloaded all my songs for the playlist on my phone from the local library. You are allowed to download 5 a week. I did it again yesterday. Before you had to download to a PC, then transfer with a USB cable to the phone, now they have a app that you can go to wirelessly and download. So easy. But I am not sure if their playlist will play via Bluetooth in the car. That is the only time I use my phone's music. *sighs*...technology! I didn't think you were supposed to use human shampoo on dogs or cats....

Valerie, you are becoming a regular chemist! :). I would think you would have to with all the stuff they put in things today. You certainly do not need lower body work with all the hiking and bike riding....all except maybe your PT exercises. :) I would also like to see that blueberry picking machine in action. Never thought about how they pick those and don't damage them at all.

Caitlin, I can understand why you would be upset. Are you able to stay in your current place until the closing? Wedding? I don't remember you mentioning a wedding.

Lynda, how was the movie?

Hi to Josie & Judy,

A workout, and maybe yard work...if it's not too hot....

Take care,

Good morning ladies!

Fun weekend. Had about 10 people over to celebrate my husband and brothers birthdays. At one point there were 5 adult men on rafts in our little pool. Was hilarious. Of couse we took lots of pictures. :)

Going to try and fit a workout in later on. Our friend is still here and my brother and his long time GF stayed over. So getting ready for Sunday morning breakfast. :)

Deb..the workout was 53m and there actually was no core. I stopped when I thought they were going to do core but realized after watching the clip she posted it was pushups and tricep pushups. Just as well that I stopped since I was carrying on with the ropes. So far I am loving the ropes!

Caitlin...are you getting married? Good you are still working out and have access to your weights. Freestyle works!

Valerie...unbelievable all the chemicals in shampoos. It was a real eye opener for us when looking for something Bob could use.

Diane Sue...love that workout string you put together. The X10 warmup is a favorite of mine. It feels like a little workout. I have the 21d extreme yogo. I am going to review it and maybe tryin it oit. I want to more stretchinh and yoga but never stick with it. I keep hoping I find someone that I click with and want to do more.

Lynda...hoping you are still streaming!

Judy...I am looking forward to SB's new workouts incorporating the rebounder. I have a cheap one I bought many years ago and loved it back in the day. I may invest in a good one once her workouts come out.

Thoughts on Cathe's new dvds? I think they sound great! This time around going to get downloads only. Even though I won't have all the premixes it will be fine. I seem to be making my own most of the time anyways.

Hi to Josie!

Deb the shampoo is made for Dogs. I download books and fitness magazines and am able to read them anywhere. I have not tried my library's videos and music. My Amazon music plays with bluetooh if I do not want to listen on just my device. I guess you would know that though..

Lori, your weekend sounds like it has really been fun. I try to get some stretching and yoga in several times a week. I tend to look for the 30 minutes or less ones. I like budokon, but it is more of a challenge with down to the floor and up to balances. It also goes through martial arts moves. I think it is the most enjoyable of yoga workouts that I have done. I should pull those out again. Yoga and stretching is generally a bit boring. But definitely good for you. I tend to get tight in the hip flexors and it does help a lot.

Deb I actually did get thru quite a bit of chemistry in college. oh course, you graduate and never look at most of it again! still, I have stronger background than most people. Does not help much with complex ingredient lists, which are meant to be confusing.

DH was going off this morning to go fishing, leaving me alone to read the paper and relax, but it was too busy. should know better than to think there'd be any space on a dry weekend this time of year. so he's back, working in the garden. I need to do some shopping. we've gotten to the point where we never go anywhere on weekends and use the days for home projects and shopping.

I wish I still had that yoga class to go to. I enjoyed doing it in a small group with an instructor, never can get it done alone. I keep telling myself to get up and go to the new class, but the longer drive is a turn off.

I'm done for now with workout DVD's. I have more than enough to keep me busy since I get my cardio outdoors when I can. sometimes too many choices is not good as there is no real plan. I keep thinking I'd like to redo STS this winter if I get a good stretch of non travel time. Our house plans are moving forward but slowly. we had a well drilled and have good water at a reasonable depth. Next is power, and that is getting dragged out . the process is slower than we thought it would be. Still, without water we could not have proceeded, and since that is done we can move forward.

Hi everyone--

This morning I did live Smokin' Upper Body Blast (53 min.). Great workout and it flies by. Once again, Deb, several tubing exercises. Lori's right--no core. The final floor exercises are triceps pushups, including those ones where you are propped up on just one side.

Lori, that sounds like a fun weekend with friends. No problems with streaming. I guess Apple just doesn't agree with Google Chrome and wants its own browser, Safari.

Deb, I really enjoyed the Star Trek Beyond film, but I am an age-old trekkie fan, back to the original series on TV. Where did you see the announcement of the new dvd set? I will definitely buy them. They sound great.

Caitlin, it never registered with me that you were getting married. Best wishes! or, as Spock would say, Live long and prosper!

Valerie, you do so much outside I can understand why you don't want more dvds to clutter your life. Building a house is also pretty time-consuming.

Diane Sue, I was aghast at all the bug bites you mentioned from your cabin trip. I really couldn't stand that. I, too, just find yoga boring. My mind wanders. I would rather do some meditation.

Wow, we finally did get some decent rain! I didn't want to get up this morning--just stay in bed listening to the rain. Of course, the cocktail party this evening might be a soggy mess. Hope there's a tent and the humidity goes down.

I usually do not workout on Sunday but, this morning I did Ripped With Hiit Low Impact 1 pre-mi scrambled 7, 29 minutes, 200 calories. I did the first 10 minutes of budokon flow and flexibility skipping the meditation but doing the spinal warm up. This is 40 minutes if I skip the 15 minutes of before and after meditation. The last 10 minutes of the workout before final meditation is a martial arts flow. I do have an easier set of his workouts that is a weight loss program. No family brunch today. Part of the family had other things to do and we had made it home and started lunch before my daughter texted to see if we were coming.

Deb, thanks for listing the dvds. They do sound good. I usually do not pre-order right away. I hate that huge long wait and anticipation of getting what I spent money on. I don't know how far you have got with getting Amazon Prime Music to work. Here is a link that might help. On the left side is a list that has stuff on your device and there are answers to questions. https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201376340

Valerie, I tend to avoid shopping on the weekends because that is when everyone else is shopping. Mondays are bad because the stores are trying to restock what was all sold over the weekend. I tend to try for mid week. It does not always work out that way though. We had talked about building a house at one time. There is a lot to it. It would be nice to be able to over see the work progress and make sure it is done right.

Lynda, my husband watches Star Trek over and over. He has every dvd and a VHS tape of The Cage. He has been going through one of the series on Netflix lately and has a boxed set he is watching when on the Tread Climber. I know we will be out to see the new movie. He mentioned it the other day but things came up. These bites are unpleasant. I finally started adding some antibiotic ointment with the cortisone. I think they are a tiny bet better today. They still itch. Working out and sweating aggravates them.

I do have to fix my credit rating before I get married, and it became wrecked during the five years it took for my divorce to be final. There are still boxes all over my living room, and I can only do weights, no cardio. We are going to get married. I am excited about it, but my credit rating is terrible due to my divorce. We can't get married in a Roman Catholic church because I am divorced, but I disagree with that. I like Pope Francis, and maybe he can fix it.

Good morning,

Yesterday we took the dogs on the Rails to Trails path for a short walk...they loved it. We need to do that more often.

Lori, how great that sounds....all those people relaxing on floats in your pool. "). Those ropes sound scary...where do you do that? in the basement? It must be pretty large. They look long. You said 40 feet? I didn't realize you had a rebounder....so does Diane Sue. I just think of those as mini-trampolines....do they have DVD's for them?

Diane Sue, I didn't know that Paul Mitchel made pet shampoos! I am looking at the one on the Mercola site...(Dr. Karen Becker)...but it is pretty expensive for dog shampoo. Thanks for the link...I will study it and see if I can use it easily. Right now I have 5 songs from the library downloaded to a playlist. I can add 5 each week.

Caitlin, do you have a date set yet for a wedding?

Valerie, you should try that yoga class....just jump in the car one day and go! You used to enjoy it a lot before. Building your home is a big project...especially since you are at a distance.

Lynda, another great Live workout to put on the "list". I am going to preorder the new DVD's too...they look great, no step, no kickboxing, no Plyo...( unless that bonus 6th one is a Plyo...but I don't care)... Made for me...:)

Judy, we need more DVD;s right? :).

Josie, hope you are having a relaxing time....

A workout, then a mani/pedi appointment with my cousin...and helping her in the office today...class tonight....

Take care,

Deb, thanks for the link. I wonder why people whine so much about what they get. I bet there are lower body pre-mixed on some and the name Slam does not scare me away. Another cycle workout will encourage me to use my spin bike a bit more. They look good and the price is great. I would like to get them with dvd and downloads.

Hmm looks like there is a spin bike disk in this set. Is any one of you planning to order the set of disks on preorder and NOT want the cycle one? If so, I'll buy it from you. Nothing wrong with the workouts but I have too many disks. not using them enough, plus I had my issues with the music on the ICE series.

Interestingly, any thoughts of streaming anything went out the window yesterday. I can barely get the ipad to work in the basement. lose the connection repeatedly. we'd have to buy a new TV, DVD, and another apple device and hope it would work. after all the grief Lynda has had, I'm not up to it. will stick with DVD's.
I was looking around on google yesterday as we are nearing the end of the sopranos and I've been curious about some of the words that I didn't understand well throughout the series. mostly food related things but not all. started with capicola ( gabbagool) and ree-goat( ricotta) mort-a-del muzz -a del (mozzarella) ( (mortadella). very interesting about new jersey plus not really Italian words, just a regional thing. tony's boat is the Stugots ( balls). goomar. anyway, if you ever want to watch this series, look this up ahead of time so you know better what they're all talking about. it's mixed into the dialogue throughout the series and is easier to see what to look up with subtitles.

yesterday I did parts of LBB including floor work, therapy exercises, core 1 and knee push ups. about an hour.

Deb, the class is at 7 and the drive is 20 some miles, I have to get up 5-ish to go. I keep looking at it and then don't get up in time. hard to get back in the habit. there are classes later in the day so I might try one of those and see if it feels good.

We do not have a date set yet. My credit was ruined during my long divorce. I have to fix my credit, and I can do that after the closing. I found out that it was Bill Wright's son who is causing the problem and I am not talking to him at all.

All I could do was squats, lunges and plie squats, and I have the do it freestyle as all my DVD's are packed.

Hi everyone--

This morning I did live Quick Fix Kickboxing + 100 reps Boxing Bonus Challenge + Step & Weight Drills (52 min.). I was a sweaty mess after this one. Once again, no problems with the streaming.

Deb, thanks for posting all that information about the new workouts. I guess I will go for the 5 dvd bundle. It is strange that she doesn't post this stuff on this forum.

The cocktail party was fun, but it was quite cool. I'm glad we were under a big tent.

Valerie, our tech guy said that stone and concrete interfere with wifi, which explains why there is a corner in our downstairs area where there is no wifi. Don't know if that explains your problem. I also remember how much you liked that yoga class. Too bad she moved.

We did get almost 2 inches of rain, very much needed. Now Kim has to figure out how to defeat an owl who takes the head off a chicken every night. I just ordered a 4 pack nite guard solar predator control light that is supposed to work. Good thing our neighbors aren't very close. These lights are flashing red lights. Sure hope they work.

Today I did High Reps, 65 minutes, 260 calories. Such a lousy calorie burn for all of the sweating and work I put in. I went a bit heavier on most of the moves. I then did Body Max 2, just the power circuits and stretch, 34 minutes, 227 calories, heart rate avg. 121/ max 155 . I need to run some errands and clean. My daughter's family had a terrible traumatic incident last night. They are still not out of the woods yet. They were organizing their garage and had set a new bag of rat poison down on the ground. My son in law noticed the younger dog running around with the bag, and it was empty. They ate the entire bag. They gave them something to make them vomit more than once and my daughter ran and got activated charcoal that they have been giving them to absorb what is left. They are both still alive this morning. the pup ate the largest amount from what it had vomited. Most of the bag. They caught it before the squares had started digesting. My daughter says there is a 36 time frame for something acute to happen. Then 7 days delayed less severe reactions. My daughter is not working today so is with them which is good. I had a hard time sleeping myself. I kept paying for their dogs. It has been 19 hours now. I will come back in a bit to finish reading.

Oh no Diane Sue! I am so sorry! I will be praying that their dogs are going to be ok. Something like that is one of my worst nightmares :(

My daughter just called and says they are going on 24 hours and the dogs seem pretty much normal. They are eating and behaving like usual other than not so much wrestling around with each other. They are keeping up with the active charcoal. She is using the Merck guidelines for treatment. Yes, they did talk to the vet. My daughter is pretty quick at catching things and knowing what to do. Unfortunately this rat poison was not the one that has an antidote. Another 12 hours to go.

Deb, I don't mind paying a bit more for the dog shampoo. It lasts quite awhile since the dog doesn't get bathed that often. I use a Furminator shampoo when warm weather starts for the shedding. I don't like it too much though. Gertie's usually glossy coat gets kind of dull and she scratches a lot after her bath. It must be irritating. I won't purchase it again. I think brushing every morning works just as well.

Valerie, I have a hard time with my computer and the losing the internet on it all of the time. Particularly if I am going from one site like Pinterest to look at a recipe or something. It locks up and I have to shut down the internet and restart. This does not happen to my husband though. I don't know what the deal is. Maybe it is because he has Windows 7. Streaming upstairs should be good for me but it is not. I had to use the lower quality of Cathe Live and once my husband got up and turned on Netflix downstairs the trouble would start. We have 100mbp on our internet service and we lose shows on Netflix all of the time. My husband thinks the television may be going out , but I am not so sure. Also all of the people are blue on Star Trek on Netflix. This is only on Star Trek though. I do hate wasting a bunch of time trying to figure out stuff when all I really wanted to do was get a good workout in. Starting over a dozen times ends up leaving me grumpy.

Caitlin, what does Bill Wright's son have to do with you closing? Usually the only thing that holds back a closing is paperwork not getting in on time.

Lynda, are your chickens in a coop at night? I hope the lights work and frighten the owl off. Right now I cannot imagine it being cool outside. It is supposed to be dry and close to 100 every day for the next week or so.
