Need Prayers!!!!

Ellie-Thanks for keeping us posted. Please be sure to take care of yourself tonight by TRYING REALLY HARD to get some sleep! I was going to call you late this afternoon to personally send you some thoughts, but then I thought better of it (plus, I didn't save your cell number like I thought I did! LOL).

Glad he's doing better. Hope Spongebob helped too! :)

Hi Everyone,
This kid is just amazing. The cardiologist asked him "Why are you here" (just to check his basic understanding) and my DS answered, "Don't you know I have a cardiac thing"? Maybe I should see another doctor.:eek::eek: Umm, he's 4 yrs old!!!!!
I don't know where this kid gets it (please laugh here) because his mother certaintly isn't bold or outspoken or anything.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Looks like we will be going home late tomorrow. He wears a monitor at night at home every other month, so we just moved it up a month. We are sooooo happy that he was able to recover so quickly. Fortunately this was just due to him throwing up the medicine, and not a relapse or anything more serious.

I should note that he has has this condition since birth, I am a nurse and am very calm in an emergency. Also these are his regular doctors and he was just hospitalized on this same unit after tonsil removal in July.So I was fine until about 5 minutes ago when I just fell apart. Out of his sight of course. This is the first scare we have had in almost 6 months and I was feeling so good that we were thru the worst. Which we probably are, but a setback can throw me over the edge. Not that I'm not usually teetering there anyway!!

Thank you all so much for your prayers and support. I was able to check in on the forum a few times on the family computer there. DH got a room at the nearby hotel and I am sleeping in the room. DS is sleeping now and I'll be comfy cozy in the rocking chair.

I'll update tomorrow.
Thanks again
ellie

Ellie, so glad your son is feeling better and you'll be bringing him home tomorrow. I'll continue to keep him and your family in my prayers and hope that he continues to improve. He sounds like such a trooper! I admire your strength in remaining strong in a crisis!
I was in Southern DE this morning and woke up with a stomach issue myself, and I never get sick. Not a fun two-hour ride home, but finally beginning to feel better after laying low today.
I hope you're able to get some rest tonight. I'm going to PM you my cell phone # so if I can ever help with anything don't hesitate to give me a call.

I am praying so hard for your son and for all of you!! My DS had a scare, too and I was terrified. May he heal fast. I am so happy to hear that he is going home!!! HE IS ONE STRONG BOY!!!!

Hang in there!!!

Hugs and prayers to you, your son, and your family as well as his health care team. Aren't kids amazing though? They can get sick so fast and then suddenly, their condition can turn on a dime and dramatically improve. Hope you can get a little rest...hopefully your son will be super perky (how much coffee does he get) soon and will be back to normal!
