Did STS Disc 32 Plyo Legs. My legs feel like rubber.

Elle, I haven't been eating very good either. Shame on me too. Lets get back to healthy eating. OK? If you are stronger, then you have changes. Good for you. Can you vent your stress here? Sometimes that helps. What will you do in that beautiful weather in the way of enjoying it?

Pam, BBL, for me is great because it is so versatile. You can use them in your routines for lower body but if you do, remember to add in calf exercises. When is your birthday?

You know, I really have too much going on too. And too many project that are not done yet. It's nice to read about the bead/stain glass. Very interesting.

You are going to enjoy versa gripps a lot. Let us know when you first use them.

Eunice, I think if you do these tummy tuckers consistently, you will see results. I'm doing such a variety right now, and the abs are getting tighter. Can't see as much definition, but I know I'm stronger there.

Yesterday you did a great workout. Good for you. I'm a little scared of Kettle balls. Haven't done an exercise like that yet.:rolleyes: MMA Boxing and abs, good job on that as well.

When you go to San Diego 26th -28th, let us know how the road trip goes. It sounds like a dream come true. Who wouldn't want to workout with Cathe! Enjoy!

Cheryl, Don't blame you for taking a week off from exercising. You did a lot of work with the Olympics. Just get settled in and then start up again.

Pam, Will you be outside in that warm and sunny weather?

Good job on disc 23. Sounds like your left cheek may have had a cramp. Glad you got through it OK.

Haven't gone back to lurkdom!

Hi all.

I've been sick all this time! I am finally feeling a little better. Obviously no cathe in the last 2 weeks:(

I did manage today to do something, so I did one of my Leslie Sansone dvd's that I use on days just like these. It will probably be a few days before I get back into Cathe. Tomorrow I'm going to try a treadmill workout and see how that goes!

Looks like you are all doing a great job!
 
Good evening ladies! Hope everyone ‘s day went well. I managed to get Cardio Coach Volume 8 done today. I haven’t done this one in a long time. My quads were sure burning!

Diane06: I'm so sorry you've been sick for so long:(. I hope it is nothing serious. Get better, O.K?

Janie: So you are doing the plyo leg workouts? Those seem to do double duty as cardio in addition to legs! Have you used the squat rack legs before?

On a side note: Does anyone know if it’s common for marketers to go to forums such as these & send PMs to forum members? Just wondering, because both my husband & I received the exact same PM from a forum member who has never posted before. I just thought it was sort of odd.

Well another day off but I am more awake that before. I took my Olympic uniform into work today for pictures. There were a bunch of us who volunteered so they wanted to get pictures for our website. There were four people who were in the opening or closing ceremonies so they wore their costumes. We had a hockey player, lumberjack, mountie and a fiddler. The rest of us were in our blue uniforms. We are know as the Smurfs :D

pgeiger I am the same as you. If I don't get it done in the morning it usually doesn't happen. I felt a lot more awake today and feel like I am getting back to normal. I will take one more day off and see about starting again on Saturday. Yeah I like those hops. Crazy eh...:)

Janie I always feel guilty for not exercising. It is silly really. I think I have been exercising for so long it feels strange when I don't.

pumper06 Glad to hear that you are feeling better. Good to see you are taking it slow with the exercise. Before you know it you will be back to where you were before you got sick.

Diane15 I don't know how common it is for marketers to go to forums and send PMs to the members. It has only happened to me once on the Oxygen message boards. I haven't had it happen here yet.

I looove Cardio Coach!! #8 is one of my favorites, although I love them all!
Do you have any of the itrains? I have some of those, too, and really like them (but they are way more pricey than they used to be, so I haven't downloaded any newer ones lately).

Janie How frustrating to lose your post. I' ve been hearing about that plyo legs disc, sounds like a killer!

My birthday is April 3rd, so I'm hoping for some BBL and possibly Insanity workouts! My husband is weird though - he wants it to be a surprise so he doesn't like to get me what is on my list. Still no versa gripps, maybe they will arrive today?!

I do hope/plan to spend some time outside in the warm sunny weather :D

Diane06 So nice to hear from you, I was worried about you! I can't believe you have been sick all this time. I sure hope that you are well on the way to recovery now. I think that you are very smart to wait on Cathe until you are feeling strong enough.

Diane I've heard a lot of good things about cardio coach. You can get them for all different activities, right? They sound very interesting....another one for the wish list!

What kind of message did you get? I got a PM from someone about a week ago that just said hi how are you doing, I'm new around here. Since I had no idea who they were and why they sent me a message I didn't respond.

Cheryl Glad to hear that you are getting adjusted, I'm sure you'll be back to your workouts soon. I guess we have to start calling you smurf from now on, huh? ;)
I am the same way in feeling guitly when I don't exercise. If I go more than 2 days without a workout I start getting jittery. I know it's silly, I'm not sure what I think is going to happen but I can't help it :rolleyes:

This morning was Cardio Core Circuit. That workout is SO tough. I'm starting to think it is worse than 40/20. Now I wish that I could take a nap :D It's been a long week at work too. I'm very glad that it's Friday. Have a great weekend everyone!

Diane06, So nice to hear from you again. Sorry that you got sick. Flu? Good job comming back into exercise with Leslie. Good choice. I know you miss Cathe, but it won't be long now and you'll be doing her workouts again. Glad you are with the living now. Stay healthy.;)

Diane15, Oh my, Ihaven't don a cario coach for so so long. After this rotation, I will though. Good job on that.

I have used our Marcy Machine (a spotter home machine) and have done squat rack legs. But, I prefer the plyo leg work because to me it's more intense. Also I manage to jump higher and run/jog/walk longer doing other exercises because of them. But believe me, I also do the squat rack to confuse my body every now and then with a very long stretch in-between.

Hmmmmm. I've never got a PM from a marketer before.

Cheryl, You have such a great attitude on exercising.;) Enjoy the Smurfs title. You certainly earned that. How fun is that?;)(expression)

Pam, My birthday is April 1.:confused: It took a little while for me to get my Versa Gripps too. They are a little slow, but you will get them. Tell your husband that BBL and Insanity is not on your birthday list and then ;)(wink) at him. Maybe he'll get the idea that you really really want them. LOL

I agree, CCC is a tough/challenging workout. You did good! You can take a nap. You deserve it. Then do some stretching LOL:rolleyes:

Hi everyone I'm back(I'm bringing sexy is back);) Just kidding! Ok Yesterday was the longest day ever, we left at 5 am drove all the way to Oceanside to CAmp Pendleton for no reason we wait till afternoon to see if my DH was going to be accepted to the famous School,:mad: NOT they dropping just because they lost a very important letter so anyways he's back at home, we got back at 6pm watch a movie 2012 I couldn't stay up OMG my eyes refused to be open, funny:p:p
Ok today I did dics 23 another OMG! I was afraid of running out of energy, you know yesterday I did not have the best meals ever and that counts a lot on the next day, but amaze my self I did pretty good! I have never ever saw my muscles shaking like a Elmo (like Cathe say);) those low plane lunges were killer, combination of 45 degree lounges with plus low plane lunges equal... pain, feel the pain ha!:D it felt really good.

I was reading you guys post, you all have been busy.. nice, Pam & Janie April Birthday girls I have one more at home Rachel April 12, she is so cute she'll be 7 big years old. You got to love been born on April Diamond.. your birthstone. Pam you should do like I do every time I want something I sweet talk, nice cute smile to my husband, he hate that because he know that I want something, just funny

Pgeiger believe it or not I did not feel sore, I don't know what I did wrong but I kind was waiting for that, the ab weights and plates, couldn't do the plates my garage floor doesn't work for that, every time I have to use the plates for legs I go to the laundry room, and for abs I have to do it in my kitchen room but not yesterday that's why I went for the kettle bell work. Still I liked. I was checking when is that I have March rotation in my calendar... its for Monday April 19th. what about yours?

Pam I don't think I'm going to get BBL series I just have to work hard to get what I want, but looks like you are doing great. How do you like your rubber legs?? Funny..

Happy Friday evening! Today I did another Bodyrock.tv workout which consisted of 18 minutes of a 10 second rest to 20 second work ratio. I got to use my new interval timer, which worked out very nicely. I think I’m going to like that thing!

Cheryl- I hope you get a chance to post some of those Olympic pictures, it would be fun to see!

Diane06- Do you have all the volumes of Cardio Coach? I only have volumes 5-8. They are probably the only thing I have that allows me to tolerate using my exercise bike. I don’t have the itrains, are they very similar to Cardio Coach? I am glad to hear you are feeling better and are easing back into your workouts.

Pam- It sounds like the same message you received. I just noticed they had a link (which I didn’t click) & wondered if maybe it was some marketing scam.
The Cardio Coaches can be used on most cardio machines or outside for running. For me they help break up the monotony of my cardio machines- I usually use them with my bike, but sometimes for my treadmill too. I think they are great because they really push you. Sometimes on my bike I can get too complacent so it comes in handy there. They are very inexpensive too!

Janie- I agree that the plyo legs are more intense. It’s good that you see the results carried over into your other activities too. That’s always motivating, isn’t it!

Eunice- Sorry to hear about your husband’s school issue; that’s so frustrating to feel like you wasted a trip down there to Oceanside. Oh yeah, those low plane lunges- you don’t even need much weight for those do you. Great job on your workout! Oh, and I was trying to tell myself to love the burn :p.

I think we feel guilty when we don't exercise because we think we are going to lose all of our gains that we made in a couple of days :eek:
Cardio Core Circut is tough. I still have some work to do on this one to get all of the moves down. I sometimes wonder how Cathe and the crew do it. How much rehearsing do they do to get it right!!!!!

Janie I like the plyo leg work so the same reason, it is intense. You also get in a good cardio workout as well.

Eunice Sorry to hear that your husband was not accepted at the school. What a long day you had. I don't really like the low plane lunges, I do them because I know I should. They also have my legs shaking like Elmo :eek:

Janie My Versa Gripps arrived yeserday. I was so excited to try them out this morning. I am not sure I'm using them right though. They were really awkward and seemed like they kept getting in my way. I think I need to do some research to make sure I have them in the right place.
Wow, we almost share a birthday huh? I imagine you got tired of all the April Fool's jokes, I just barely missed it.

I didn't get a workout in. I had a big meeting at work and then we had a teenage birthday pizza party last night so I had to get ready for that. I did get a great sleep last night though and the best part - no alarm clock this morning! :D

Eunice Welcome back! Sorry to hear about your frustrating day! i agree disc 23 is a killer and I guess that means you get to do CCC today :p I thought the was rather cruel of Cathe to have us do CCC the day after that tough leg workout!

I appreciate everyone's advice on getting what I want for my birthday! :p I'll have to try some of those tricks! I also just got a lot of coupons from Cathe, so I may have to take advantage of some of those! Paper plates don't work for me in my bonus room on my carpet either but I found that the box tops from some of our games slide nicely, so that's what I use!
I haven't tried putting the rotation in my calendar yet so I'll look at it and see if April 19th will work. We have another trip to the outer banks planned in early April though so that will mess with my STS/SC rotation too. I guess you are the one with rubber legs today huh? :eek:

Diane I really like the Hiit format workouts too, I may have to check into an interval timer. Talking with you ladies is dangerous - my wish list keeps growing and growing :D

Interesting on the PMs. I didn't even notice the link but thought it was suspicious. I love the cardio coach idea. I think I will try one or two out on my spin bike. I used to teach spin classes so I typically just put on my ipod and pretend I'm teaching a class, but I know that I don't always push myself as much as I could/should so having that push would help!

Smurfette :p Looking forward to that new avatar ;) You are exactly right on the guilt thing. In the back of my mind I think I'm suddenly going to blow up like a balloon or something :eek: I was pretty proud of myself with
Cardio Core Circut because I did all of the roll back and spring up things at the same tempo as Cathe and the crew EXCEPT for the last one! I just didn't have any spring left. It was more like roll back and then grab the edge of the couch to drag myself back to my feet :eek: And then those push ups with the leg to the side - forgetaboutit!

This morning I did disc 24 - the last disc in meso 2! It went really well except that I was struggling with the right way to use those versa gripps. I also get creative with the pullups/chinups since I don't have a way to do those. After that I did the cardio portion of step+intervals. I probably should've done one of the Hiits since yesterday was a big eating day. I'll just have to make up for it today. My husband had 20 yards of mulch delivered this week, so I suspect I may be getting a bit of an outdoor workout in there.....Have a great Saturday ladies!

Diane15 I have see that website before, but I forgot the name and I never went back to check that out, but sounds like you are going to get a good use of your new toy. Good idea about the Cardio Coach, I have to think about it or just do like Pam star making my wish list:p right now I have on my list 1-30# dumbbell and 1-40# a 15# Olympic barbell and a rack.
I know on the last set I dropped my weight, I was thinking "I love you Cathe but I rather go lower than go heavyer... only on this last set, something to work for on my next time.:D


Janie I do like the plyo legs work too, I do that one because I don't have the rack for the heavy weight but I'm dieing to get one of those:confused: you are right with plyo you run faster, jump higher, or anything you do improve your muscle endurance, you got to love it..


Thumper I know what you mean, when I don't workout for a few day I feel like everything I have gain is going down to the toilet.. but then again I have been working out with Cathe and only with Cathe for almost 4 years and I still have to work so hard for what I want..

Pgeiger how excited you got your new toy.. I was telling to my DH about the versa grips, he gave me a tip "to hold the bar for instance if you doing deadlifts.. you hold the bar one hand over and the other hand under grip that helps to balance the weight, and for one arm row with the heavy weight I always think what Cathe said don't use the strength from your arm use your back muscle, think , engage the back muscle and use the power that comes from that.
Funny I'm feeling my legs today and I was thinking maybe I swap things around instead of me doing CCC today do biceps/back but after reading your post I CAN"T that would be cheating :p If you did it with the famous rubber legs I will, I have to..:confused:

So you are going to be busy traveling that's fun, check when is that you are going to have the time and I"ll do it at the same as you do. Good job Pam now I have to push hard, I haven't done it yet CCC here I come I hope I can come back up.. darn it I don't have anything close by to help.
I think I know what push ups are you talking about and I kind of like those for some reason I did them right so I was so proud of my self and I love those now.

For pull ups I have the chin bar that it come with P90X is so easy to hook on the door, just put that up and take it down when I'm done, easy and of course I can't do a full pull up but I learned from P90X to do the partial with a chair... still you get the work done.

LOL, I can't sweet talk Joey into anything anymore, instead, I did find his weak spot though. He excepts almost anything if it's justified. So instead of cute smiles and/or batting eyes, I think of at least 1 justifiable reason (but have two more stored in the back of my brain, ready at a moments notice), and I usually get my way. LOL You are so funny!LOL:eek:

Pam, Don't you just love the Versa Gripps. It takes a little getting use to, but once you know how, they are fantastic!

I got coupons in the mail too. The only thing though is I have all her stuff. Everyone one of them, except maybe the first or second one she has done. I also have a step and the PusPull Tower. I guess I could get some downloads. They are 20% off. But, since I bought her STS's presale, I believe those are free to me. Don't know for sure though. I might be mistaken. I'll have to ask that question when I get around to it.

Congratulations for finishing Meso 2! YEAH! (lots of fireworks above).

20 yards of mulch? Oh my, you are going to be busy. Garden?

Eunice I bet your legs are talking to you now? I'm glad that I kept you from cheating :p Don't you feel so accomplished after finishing that evil workout though?! I was the same as you - I had one 30 lb dumbbell, but I went out and bought myself another 30 pounder. Now I need a 35 pounder. It doesn't seem so bad if you get them one at a time. My husband came upstairs the other day when I was frantically trying to get the weight changed on my barbell in time for the next set and guess what? he came home with a new barbell for me that night :D I was so happy!
I am going to try your husbands tip for the grip - it makes so much sense! That is what I do when I'm water skiing because your grip is so much stronger that way! I can't believe I didn't think about that! :p

I am thinking about getting the STS tower with the coupons, we'll see....I have until the end of March to think about it. I'm definitely going to get the weighted gloves, and probably some downloads....I need to get some of the workouts for the March rotation so I'm thinking I'll do the download version and burn my own DVDs since it is so much cheaper. Good for you loving those push ups! There aren't any push ups that I love - I hate them all!
I'm not actually going to do my recovery week next week :confused: I'm going to repeat week 4 of meso 2 and then take my recovery week while we are in New Orleans. That will be some SERIOUS recovery :eek:

A chin up bar is on my wish list too - are you getting an idea how long it is?!

Janie How can you NOT like a workout called Booty Basic ;) It sounds like you had a great workout - good job. It sounds like you are definitely going to be ready for that cruise!

There is still a LOT of Cathe stuff I don't have so I will probably take advantage of some of the coupons as I mentioned above. I am also thinking about getting the small step. I have been using one that my friends dad made me years ago for doing the firm so it isn't adjustable. I also could use the 4 extra risers. But it starts adding up with that and the STS tower and the workouts I don't have......:rolleyes:

I also pre-ordered STS so if there are free downloads, let us know!
Eunice Congratulations on CCC! I hope you weren't cursing me when you were doing it :D;)

We just finished spreading about 3/4 of our mulch and oh my aching back. I'm going to take a hot shower! No garden Janie - we just have to put it in all of the natural areas to keep them from being overtaken with weeds. We did 60 yards last year!:eek: so luckily it's going farther this year and we won't need as much. It was just a gorgeous day so it was great being outside. I'm hoping to get in a bike ride tomorrow, but my youngest step son has 2 soccer games so it might not work out :( Oh well, at least I'll be outside in the sunshine. Take care ladies!

I'm so glad you did it if not you I don't know who else would do, I promise I did and I try ed very hard to keep up with Cathe.. the once I was hating really, really bad was the 180 degree squat jumps, my legs were RED:mad: I think they were mad at me haha! You are so lucky getting a new barbell OMG I bet you stop working out for a while to go give your husband a big, big hug I know I would:p I'm happy for you too, funny your list keep getting longer..
Pam you are serious Cathlete, going for the fifth week, oh man I can't mess with you.. but for sure you will get a good recovery, rest, week while vacationing, it can't get better than that.. let me know how the grip work for you.

Pam so it was more hard to spread 3/4 of mulch for you back than lifting 80# barbell?? I just think that is funny, when you do what you love even the pain is PRETTY, and you body can handle it..

Today is a rest day. One more week of this rotation to go.

Pam, Do take advantage of the coupons, even if you think you want something. I've been very lucky, and found a lot of things at the second hand store. Risers, weight, step benches...

I know what you mean about being able to go outside on gorgeous days. And what better way than improving your areas. OOOOOOO biking/or watching soccer tomorrow, sounds wonderful!

Eunice, Sometimes men are just clueless about things like that. :) Cathe's older workouts are dated for sure, but they are still very good workouts, and thank goodness we don't have to wear that style of clothing anymore.LOL:D

Well it was yoga for me today. I will get back into the swing of things tomorrow. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I can't believe that it is already over and I have to go back to work already. They are calling for snow for us for the next few days. Hopefully not too much.
