Yesterday I got several hours sleep,then nothing again last night. I miss working out, but I just do not have any oomph at this point. When I do get a little sleep, it just is crazy nightmares that stay with me for hours. Someday, this too shall pass. It has to.

I am checking in late today. I worked out and ran out to get some shopping done for Easter Sunday and family coming. I wanted to miss the crowds but am going to have to go back out tomorrow or Friday. I need to hit Hobby Lobby for some art needs. I am working on a painting for my granddaughter's birthday in May and oils take awhile to dry. I wanted to try some lighter upper work today to see how I do so I did Cathe Live Ice Chiseled Upper and Lower Body Blast, 52 minutes, 306 calories followed by part of Live Bun Burner Barre and Ball, barre, ball and stretch, 27 minutes, 127 calories. Total time 79 minutes, 433 calories. I also did Fitness Blender Lower Back Stretch fpr sore muscles with Daniel and some extra foam rolling but did not count that with the workout.

Laura, I am sorry that you didn't sleep last night. I think I got maybe 2 or 3 hours total myself but I think that t he girl at Braums gave me caffeinated coffee when I asked for decaf. They were out and she said she had to make some. It wasn't to long before I had the coffee. Maybe she used the wrong coffee. My husband had wanted to go for sundaes and I opted for the coffee. I fell asleep for a short time and then was wide awake till around 5 this morning. I hope you can get some more rest. I woke with a terrible headache and now I am dragging and that is just one night that was that bad.

I had a dental appointment is morning. Just finished up Turbo Jam Cardio Party Mix 2.

Diane Sue - I love Charlene workouts. She is a lot of fun. Good job yesterday.

Laura - you poor thing! Glad you got at least a few hours sleep.

Doreen - I'll bet it felt good to move after 12 hrs. Are you traveling?

That's it for me today. I have another vet appointment for my dog this afternoon. Need to shower.
 
Today was Cathe Live Step Express w/ blasts, 41 minutes, 321 calories, HR 133 avg/ 159 max. I wanted an hour so I Get Steppin (I think that is the name, it is the last step Cathe has done) starting after the first 6 minutes to skip the warm up and stopping after the 2nd combo and doing the stretch, 24 minutes, 172 calories, HR 135 avg/a45 max) Total time 65 minutes, 493 calories.

Doreen, I bet it did feel good to move again. Was it work? Or like Belinda asked, travel?

Belinda, yes Chalean is a lot of fun. She is motivating and energetic.

MishMosh Premixes: Scrambled #4 Mixes abs from Icy Core 1 throughout the main workout. - 58:51 is done!

I am not in the mood to do anything else today :( I am so sad after I left the vet yesterday. All I want to do is cry. I went to the vet with my dog Brawler, I notice every time we walk the dog he is dragging his right rear leg :( He also looses control over that leg when he walks on my kitchen floor. The vet thinks it's age related and he is getting old. He is only 11 years old. He gave him some meds, he believes could be a disc in his back. If this doesn't work, I will take Brawler to a neurologist. I also have to get him dog shoes. The shoe is called Neo Paws, the only place I could find them is in Canada. I guess, the shoe will prevent him from dragging his paw and filling down this nails. If it's not one thing, it's another.

Diane Sue - did you sign up for Cathe Live for a month or a year? Those Live workouts do look great. WTG, yesterday.

No workout today. I went to help my daughter out because she was sick today and had one daycare child along with her children there. Her husband had to go in to work and I am the alternate for her with the background check and everything done. Then home has been crazy since we are doing a kitchen remodel. My son in Law and grandson came over and was helping my husband. We had drywall and sawdust all over the kitchen and floating around. So it was cleaning this evening. Tomorrow I will get ready for the Easter family get together.

Belinda, I just paid for a month of Cathe Live. I am not sure if I will go ahead and do another yet. I will have to decide. I am enjoying it but, I kind of miss being able to stick in a dvd with all of t he premix options.

Hope you all had a great Easter. Ended up taking a rest day yesterday.

This morning I did Cross Train Express : Power Circuit (Back+ Planks) + Jenny Ford Toning with Weights (Total Body) plus Abdominals on the ball.

Today I wanted low impact. Still being careful of the neck area. Workout was live Hard Strikes low impact boxing, 59 minutes, 341 calories. I didn't get the HR up that much with this since it was mainly boxing. I was surprised at the weight work at the end. I expected it to all be abs for some reason. I did some modifications on it. I then did the stability ball abs form live Cardio Boxing with stability ball starting at 33 minutes into the workout and also did the stretch, 14 minutes, 55 calories. Total time 73 minutes, 396 calories. YEsterday was P90X2 Recovery and Mobility and a you tube neck and shoulder pain yoga and stretch.

Belinda, I only did 5 days of working out this week. If you don't count the recovery work I did yesterday. It was a busy weekend and I am getting ready to go outside today and paint our wrought iron gate back to black since the last residents made it an ugly green that is peeling off.
 
Did Body Max 2 cardio blast today. Have changed my sleep meds and am basically at double my old dose. Have slept pretty well the last couple of nights (no nightmares either). Meds are not kicking in until about 4 in the morning, but then I am sleeping until 10 or so. Wake up with a drug hangover that lasts a couple of hours, so I am trying to rearrange my day so I can work out mid afternoon.

Didn't even attempt a live workout today. The cable company sent out a new modem, and ever since we switched over to it, our wifi stinks. We think something must be wrong with the modem.

Laura, I am glad you are finally getting some sleep. No nightmares is good. I do not like the drug hangover feeling, but sleep is important for the body to function right. We had that happen with a modem before and they came out and tested it and gave us another one.

Today I did Cathe Live Butts and Guts followed by the first 3 rounds of Live Blasts, Barre , and Bands with a couple of modifications. Butts and Guts workout was 54 minutes, 312 calories and Blasts Barre and Bands was 35 (included the stretch) 202 calories. Total time was 89 minutes and calories burned 514. Blasts, Barre, and bands uses light dumbbell for some moves. It is a cardio blast, lower body barre and an upper body part focus for each round.

Today I did IMAX Terminator. My husband is working with the cable company to get our modem fixed or replaced. Maybe tomorrow. Slept well again, what a difference. Trying to get used to working out in the afternoon. It is more challenging for me, but if it what works for my sleeping schedule, then I just will have to adjust.

Good workouts everyone. CTX is one of the very few Cathe's I don't have. Overall, do you like it?
 
Laura, nice to hear you got some sleep again. It is hard to change schedules. I used to do daycare and my husband was on swing shift for a long time. I would workout at midnight. I still was able to fall asleep. Now I wonder how I got up so early and managed to workout so late. At one time it was rotating shifts monthly. That was really hard to adjust my children and myself to.
I have CTX but it has been years since I have pulled them out. I used to love stringing the cardio portions together. It seems one of them sort of reminded me of the power segments of the first Body Max. Lots of reps in those. I used to use the all upper and Leaner legs a lot as alternate days for weight work. The all upper is a mix from the other workouts. Those 20-25 minute cardio workouts were nice to add onto a weight workout.
 
Diane Sue, that is dedication to be working out at midnight. Swing shifts are so hard. I find that the older I get, the harder it is for me to change routines. But even harder, is getting my DH used to a change in routine.!! We do get set in our ways.

I've looked at CTX for a long time and reviewed the clips, but have always put off. I have read that lots of people love leaner legs. I actually tried to get an inter-library loan of this one so I could sample, but the library declined to lend it out. Besides the cycle dvds, CTX and Pure Strength are the only ones missing from my collection. I think I would really like the cardio in these. Maybe someday for a present.
 
Today was PRS2. We are going to the cable company to get a new modem today, so hopefully that will fix our wifi.
Happened to see that CTX is on sale today.

I forgot to post this morning. I did CTX Step & Intervals/ Chest = 45 min. That was a fun strep workout. I can't remember the last time I pulled out CTX.

Laura - CTX is on the Cathe Deal of the Day often. It's worst every penny, IMO!

Diane Sue - how did your fence turned out? As always, nicely done with your workouts.
