Lifting like girls

Still hanging in there.stressing over for rmpapers due Monday, the problem won't be writing them, it's the research isn't available in the manner I am looking at. Ugh. I don't like lit reviews!

Today was day four of power 90, something is better than nothing. And I don't have much of anything to give anymore. Tired of being sick, and stressed.

Miss you all

Arm day! Superset tri sets, skc/ dumbbell curls, tri pushdowns/hammer curls, kickbacks/ez bar curls ( upped this 10#) 2 sets of kb curls ( a visiting friend was hogging my powerblocks) and finished with 3x25 cable crunches. Weekend is upon us...yay!!

Holy moly, TGIF!!! Yesterday was insane. Sorry to be MIA. Had to wake up early and then, between regular Mom duties and a school program and extra special "we're idiots who decided to sell our house, move to a rental, and build a new home" errands, it was crazy ridiculous with no time to sit down. I did manage to get up early and get a workout in. Yesterday I needed to do legs but it was too early so all I could muster was Steptastic Live (a step workout, obviously) + Xtrain Burn Sets Shoulders only. BUT I am happy to report that I was a good girl and reported for leg duty today with Legs on Fire Live (10/27/16). Karen, I highly recommend this one!!!

Tom, thankfully my Internet issues were resolved swiftly. I would definitely become certifiable and you'd have to lock me up in jail if I had to go too long without Cathe Live!!! You're getting some good weight work in. How are the aches and pains? Any better?

Karen, WTH? Are you feeling better? Can't believe you've had this crazy reaction to the flu shot! But then you go and tell me that it's 77 degrees there and I sorta don't feel so bad for you, LOL! We've had nothing but cold, wind, rain. You are amazing doing your workouts PLUS HoCo and Mark Lauren when you're not feeling well.

Lib, keep doing what you can. I love the mantra "Do What You Can, When You Can." That's all any of us can do. You're worth the effort. We believe in you!!!

Great day to all!

Good evening, friends!
Today was another great leg day. Lisa, "Legs on Fire," sounds like my cup of tea. So, you and DH are building a house. How fun, I love picking out all new "stuff." Have fun with it! (but, truthfully, it can be a giant pain in the arse, too.) Just take a few deep breaths. Tom, nice work. I love working my triceps, biceps, not so much. Don't know why. Lib, like I stated before, hang in there.
I am feeling much better now. Glad that's over.
Happy weekend, all!

Karen, we both had legs on the brain yesterday! Glad you're feeling better. How weird was that flu shot reaction??!! Yep, your voice of experience nailed it. So fun to get the design and decor that I want but, holy hell, all the planning and haggling with the builder and babysitting the builder to make sure there's no screw ups and then, oh yeah, moving. And we haven't even broken ground yet, LOL! We've got a looooong ways to go. Hopefully mid-Spring or very beginning of Summer for the completion date.

Tom, what's up bud?

Today I did Cardio Boxing w/Stability Ball Abs Live (10/2/14). I added about 10 mins of an upper body weight blitz at the end since I had time! Fun, sweaty. I feel like I got a really well rounded workout week this week. That makes me happy.

Have a great weekend and I'll be back Monday!

Yep, Monday! Pretty much a crap day, starting with bench, tried several light sets and no go, so did a bunch of ROM isos, 8 sets of tri stuff, and a long set of cable crunches. Tomorrow I will try back and bi, then I will be in Arkansas several days without a gym, so I guess some mandatory rest whether I need it or not! I checked back and my last heavy bench day was 9-21...nothing seems any better and that SUCKS!! Start the week out right Ladies!

Sorry, Tom. That's got to be frustrating. What Karen said...you hang in there, bro! Do your best and forget the rest (I think I'm stealing that from Tony Horton).

I didn't have any pain this morning but I did feel crazy weak! I started off with the cardio only portion of Cardio Band Blast w/ Weights Live (7/24/14). It was about 28 mins, then went into Ripped With HiiT Chest Shoulders Triceps--skipping the finishers due to time--, for a total of about 32 mins. It felt like I've never done chest flyes in my life! Had to keep dropping the weights with each set. I gave it my all but, man, it didn't seem like much!

Hope everyone has an enjoyable Halloween, if you celebrate it at all. I'm going to be parading around town with my DH, and a little witch and a little Tinkerbell. I will be dressed up as a mom. I get sooooo creative at Halloween. ;)

Hey everyone! I'm starting the last week of my metabolite work. Today was mostly chest, shoulders and triceps, with a little bicep and abs thrown in. Those hanging leg raises are going to be my death.
Don't even ask me why, but this weekend I tried Burpee Crazy with "Fit Body by Julia." Seriously, the girl does lateral box jumps on a box that's higher than her knees. I would be getting some serious medical treatment, after I tripped, broke my face and knocked out all my teeth. This was a good workout. Kinda killer for me, but an excellent workout. I love it when her kids come wandering through the scene. Wish I had thought of using my kids as a weight. She just picks them up, and starts doing lunges holding them. One of those women, that takes it all in stride.
I have been cutting for the last 12 weeks. I'm at the point where, I just want it to be over. Every month my macros were dropped. I'm down to 55g of carbs, and about 15-18g of fat a day. We had a nacho bar, at work today. I had to stay out of the kitchen. I could have easily unhinged my jaw, and swallowed the table. But, the good news! I've lost 13lbs. I'm going on maintenance, until January. Then one more cut. We shall see, come January, I may say forget it.
Have a fabulous night, everyone! Stay out of the graveyard. Tonight is the Night of the Dead!

Back and bi, 9 sets back, 10 sets bi..felt good! Chins, 3 sets, pullovers, 3 sets pulldowns, 3 sets dumbbell curls, 3 sets hammer curls, 3 sets ezbar curls, 3 sets and 1 set of 21's to finish. Karen, congrats on the 13#..you are gonna be shredded! Lisa, some days are like that, just not in the tank, but some days you feel like superman...dunno why! I may hit shoulders before we leave tomorrow or at least try. Should probably do legs, but may do air squats and calf raises there...my story and I'm stickin to it!! Enjoy the day friends!

Karen, the height of the box for those lateral box jumps sounds scarier to me than any haunted house I could've walked through yesterday! I totally know what you mean, I'll do the exercise but lower the box, thank you very much! I am curious to know how you will like the metabolite part of the program. I remember when Justine (I miss her!) was doing that part of it. I had no idea you were in the middle of a cut. How on earth have you been following that eating plan while adding on HoCos and Mark Lauren workouts? Agree with Tom, your muscles must be popping. I'm thinking Linda Hamilton in the Terminator.

Tom, glad you felt good today!!! You earned it after yesterday was so frustrating for you. Let's make a pact do both do legs tomorrow, okay? That's what I've got on my schedule too!

Today I did a Kelly Coffey Meyer 30 minute plyo/hiit cardio and then Ripped with HiiT Back Shoulders Biceps, no finishers because I had no time. No finishers does NOT mean easy. Whew!

Just finished legs, and they are singing. I'm enjoying the four weeks of metabolite. There's not a lot of rest time, so the workout goes quickly. Doing this cut, it's not that I'm hungry, it's more of not being satisfied. I get a lot of satisfaction from eating fat. When the fat is not there, something is missing. Same with carbs. Nothing like a pan of brownies, to make me smile. That's not even counting the chocolate factor, and there lies the reason for the cut. I enjoyed the chocolate a little too much last Winter. I'm starting early, because this is a birthday gift to myself. Crossing fingers I don't blow it.
Have a nice evening, all!

I actually did get some leg in today! I started with shoulders, 4 sets light strict press (anything close to heavy not kind) then I did 3 sets of side laterals/front raise (these are killer, a set of 8 is really a set of 16...ugh), 3 sets of rear delt flys and 3 sets of shrugs. For legs I used a 50# kb for everything, 3 sets of gob squats, 3 sets of kb swings, 4 sets of 1 leg calf raises and finished with 2 sets of heavy cable crunches. Lisa, I miss Justine too...hope she is doing well. Also Roz, hope she is doing well. Lib, how is it going for you?? Karen, congrats on your "stick to itvness" but your exactly right, fat and carbs satisfy something in us! Off to Arkansas, hit it hard ladies!!

Tom, way to hit the legs! Have a good trip. Stay safe and don't get too crazy!

Karen, I'm so impressed with your dedication. You do your cut as long as it makes your mind and body feel good. We'll be rooting you along the whole way. I know what you mean about fat. I'm a full fat eater, like whole milk and I use butter and eat nuts and peanut butter like it's my job. Way more satisfying than simple carbs, at least for me, not that you're eating a lot of simple carbs either these days! Anyway, you go, woman. You rock.

Today was supposed to be legs, but geez my upper body is so dang sore from Ripped w/HiiT that I couldn't fathom holding any weights in my hands at all. Instead I did a steady state step workout from Tracey Staehle, Step Sweatfest. Fingers crossed for legs tomorrow. It also doesn't help that moving craziness has been making me sleep like crap!!!

Good Wednesday to you all, my friends.

Today was upper body pull exercises. I'm beginning to love pull-ups. (kinda) I still need to pull out my Step Sweatfest. Good luck with tomorrow's legs.
I don't envy the moving craziness, Lisa. Just as bad as selling a house, with young kids running about. You know, the day when the realtor phones, and has someone that wants to look at the house in half an hour. Your still in your bathrobe, and the kids have run amuk. Keep smiling!!! Well, I'm going to go have homemade chicken soup. For some reason, it just hit the spot today. Have a good evening, all!

Dreaming of that homemade chicken soup, Karen. How was it?! Yeah, I am pretty much a hot mess 24/7, but that's just this stage of life. Should your DH be jealous of your new love affair with pull ups? lol

Tom, hope you are well.

Today was indeed legs...bodyweight and barre. Off to a wellness check for my DD at the pediatrician. I can't remember but hoping for no shots today.
