Hi Everyone! We know you’ve been anxiously awaiting an update on the Lift, Move & Restore series! We are extremely happy to say that the final masters have been approved and production run will be starting soon! We’ve been so busy proofing and correcting these final check discs and masters over these last couple of weeks. This has always been a tedious and time consuming process, but has become even more so nowadays. The shift of most video content moving from DVD to downloadable and streaming options has put us in a position of having no choice but to use DVD authoring software that is no longer updated nor supported. We understand that the delays have been frustrating and we are feeling some of that frustration as well! I know we’ve already expressed our gratitude for your patience, but it should be repeated! We appreciate your support more than you know.IMG_4209.jpeg

Wondering too, what the big change is between authoring these dvds and the 2023 series which was basically a year ago (end of last year)…Or even STS 2……which BTW, in my opinion was chaptered beautifully....
& so was 2023 dvds, except the Barre Bonus wasn't chaptered at all, but IMO, could have been.

If the software for chaptering is the same as for authoring ... I'm in trouble as I want chaptering. I need to be able to skip segments I cannot do without the tedious fast-forward & back to get to the point I want. Ohh.... premonitions ...

Hmmm...blockbuster movies are still coming out in 4K UHD...not sure why software is an issue with making an exercise DVD.
Yeah. I don't understand either. I was thinking this morning that I have some major software that is outdated & unsupported (I've had it over 24 years) & I don't have problems using it & I use it every week.

Yeah, what is the issue, really?!
The December 2023 workouts seemed to have a quick turn-around. SNM updated their filming AND editing software in 2018 for the LITE series with the most up-to-date stuff, per a posting in October 2018. So what is the real issue? The "explanation" for the delays doesn't make sense. When something doesn't make sense, it's usually because you haven't been given the full story. SNM doesn't owe us the whole truth, but then your customers/fans start to doubt & lose trust in you. Not a good situation for a small company that relies on a strong fan base.

I feel like they have put their efforts into the new pickleball/turf court that they just opened and the DVDs are on the back burner. But now that the new facility is up and running, there shouldn't be any further delays. I can't imagine the software is that out of date. I know I will probably get backlash for this but just be up front with us.

No backlash here ... you may be right. Cathe said in her video update in early September that she didn't want us to think this project was on the "back burner" - her words. She also said there was a "small hiccup" with "vacations" and PTOs, & that the project would be delayed "just a little", then almost 3+ weeks went by with no updates. Now it's a "software" issue. Hmmm...

I agree, honesty is the best policy - just be forthright. Cathe fans are very understanding, especially when dealt with in an honest, forthcoming way.

Hmmm, does the difficulty you're mentioning with the state of DVD production mean you're not going to continue producing new content on DVD?
Oh I hope that’s not the case. I prefer DVDs. I guess I’m old school . I’ve been doing Pvolve off and on for 2 years and there was one series on their streaming service that I loved. 6 days a week, 30 minutes a day. Then when the founder of Pvolve and his wife got divorced, she got the company and removed all workouts with Stephen in them, including my favorite. I should add that I’ve had a free trial of the streaming which is why I’m doing Pvolve again. Otherwise it’s my 21 day butt lift dvd. I don’t mean Cathe would remove content from her service, I just like owning the discs.

I don't know - I've been in positions at my work where we've been trying to get by on outdated software (edit: outdated software and/or hardware) and eventually, you find you're just SOL and have to make massive, expensive, unpleasant changes in order to keep doing what you want to be doing.

I hate how fast tech changes and also how fast certain businesses will cease supporting their software after a period of time passes, requiring you to make expensive updates.

I am sorry that Lift, Move & Restore series delivery delay is causing all the confusion and disappointment.

I cannot recall ever prepaying or pre-ordering any commercial product in my adult life. I guess it's largely due to my non-acquisitive nature -an euphemism for being cheap despite lower pre-order price. Apart from that, I am like a bloodhound always sniffing for potential pitfalls and the such.

On a side note, I miss the good ole days of Cathe and the Gang.

Maybe it's because I am disassociated from today's hip crowd due to my personal desire of social media interaction that is more on point with fitness instead of unrelated topics.

I maybe in the minority, but I just grateful that Cathe still produces DVD’s. Recently I had to make some financial decisions about my many online subscriptions, I was paying too much. So I cancelled all but 2 services, even my gym membership. I just don’t use them as I once thought and it’s a waste of money. It got me to thinking, I don’t own any of the previous exercise programs. And these services can disappear for any reason at any moment. So I decided to use what I already own, just restarted STS. Cathe was ahead of her time, now that “recompostion” of the body is trending. However I do understand everyone frustration with the lack of communication, there is something not right about the delays that we will never be privy of. Will I purchase any future DVDS, yes. I probably won’t preorder. Paying in advance for a product with no idea of when you receive them, just doesn’t sit well with me anymore, even though we can cancel at anytime. I just hope Cathe continues to produce DVDS, but I got a feeling this maybe her last one. The frustration is probably not worth it, sense most people are using streaming services.
