Lift, Move & Restore Update…10/28/24

...Will I purchase any future DVDS, yes. I probably won’t preorder. Paying in advance for a product with no idea of when you receive them, just doesn’t sit well with me anymore, even though we can cancel at anytime. I just hope Cathe continues to produce DVDS, but I got a feeling this maybe her last one. The frustration is probably not worth it, sense most people are using streaming services.
I feel you on this. If there are new dvds down the road, I'll probably purchase after they become physically available. That way I can choose the ones I think I'll get the most use out of. And I won't get caught up in the angst of delays & the wondering of how I'll incorporate an entire series.

I'm finishing up STS Meso2 this week. While working my way through it, I remind myself I don't really  need any more workouts ... it's only a want. I have enough workouts to not have to repeat one for months & months. I'm good, really! :)

I maybe in the minority, but I just grateful that Cathe still produces DVD’s. Recently I had to make some financial decisions about my many online subscriptions, I was paying too much. So I cancelled all but 2 services, even my gym membership. I just don’t use them as I once thought and it’s a waste of money. It got me to thinking, I don’t own any of the previous exercise programs. And these services can disappear for any reason at any moment. So I decided to use what I already own, just restarted STS. Cathe was ahead of her time, now that “recompostion” of the body is trending. However I do understand everyone frustration with the lack of communication, there is something not right about the delays that we will never be privy of. Will I purchase any future DVDS, yes. I probably won’t preorder. Paying in advance for a product with no idea of when you receive them, just doesn’t sit well with me anymore, even though we can cancel at anytime. Edited to correct…since not sense. Sleep deprivation is real

I am with you on having enough workout options. As I 'season' in age, I keep my workout routines less complicated. I am more mindful of my mental and spiritual well-being as well.

STS is by far my favorite series.

grand2010, I also like having the DVDs. I haven't subscribed to the Live or On Demand channels because I'm just now sure how much I would use them. Maybe when I retire and have time to figure it out, ;)

I prefer DVDs. Based on my understanding, only DVDs have detailed chaptering. (Please correct me if I am wrong.)

I don't do live workout. My remote work schedule won't allow it. Plus, I like to preview the workout to ensure safety, especially when it comes to any step cardio workouts or cardio workouts with more choreography.

The workouts that they put in the blender usually always have the chapters, just like the
dvd…also in the other part of OnDemand, the streaming workouts are all chaptered, just
like the dvds…but of course, the Live workouts are not.

I am with you, I like to preview most anything I am going to do, to see if there is anything
I want to skip, modify, or just don’t like.

Hi Everyone! We know you’ve been anxiously awaiting an update on the Lift, Move & Restore series! We are extremely happy to say that the final masters have been approved and production run will be starting soon! We’ve been so busy proofing and correcting these final check discs and masters over these last couple of weeks. This has always been a tedious and time consuming process, but has become even more so nowadays. The shift of most video content moving from DVD to downloadable and streaming options has put us in a position of having no choice but to use DVD authoring software that is no longer updated nor supported. We understand that the delays have been frustrating and we are feeling some of that frustration as well! I know we’ve already expressed our gratitude for your patience, but it should be repeated! We appreciate your support more than you know.View attachment 8966
It's been a long wait, but I am sure it will be worth it! Streaming is nice, but I prefer DVD's and hope future programs will also be offered on DVD's.

I've said it once but I will say it again: not everyone has internet access. I'm at a public library to write this so I am EXTREMELY grateful that Cathe continues to produce dvds. It seems like there is a lot of unnecessary rudeness being expressed that is not very nice or productive. Cathe has been a very important part of my life, although we don't know each other, and will continue to be instrumental in helping me remain strong and healthy.

Unpopular opinion, fully prepared to be lambasted, but let the chips fall:

Y’all need to chill out.

Pre-payment for a DVD series is a capital investment so that the series can actually get made. Exercise videos are not a huge moneymaker and neither is owning and operating a gym — especially in this day and age when loads of “influencer” content is free on YouTube (Caroline Girven, for example). We pre-pay so Cathe Inc has the money to give us the quality product we have come to expect over years of trust and consistent product excellence. Once the series is in your hands you will likely forget that you had to wait so long for it; you will love it, you will use it all the time and you will be grateful someone put so much effort into making a series like no other on the market.

As for “excuses”:
I have been a Cathe customer for over 20 years and I’ve never known Cathe to lie, make false promises or not deliver on something she said she was going to do. Her reputation, business, staff, and future ventures are on the line every time she puts out a new series. That doesn’t seem to be something she takes lightly. There are behind the scenes things that happen that are out of her control (logistics, software, staffing issues, capital issues, supply-chain hiccups, health concerns — all kinds of scenarios) that can affect product delivery. A company owner has to be very selective in what they share so that it doesn’t reveal the shortcomings or personal details of others (so that it looks like she’s dragging someone else down) or make too many excuses (because that makes the company look weak, like they can’t deliver a product). One also has to make sure they aren’t pushing a product too quickly, taking shortcuts and delivering something that skips, isn’t chaptered, doesn’t jive with the Workout Blender, has terrible music, or has odd voice levels, bad lighting, etc.). As an aside, I remember well the very minor issues STS 2.0 had with one (or two?) discs that Cathe promptly replaced, free of charge.

All that to say:
Yes, the series was promised for “Summer 2024” and yes, it is now early November. But to insinuate that someone we have all come to trust and admire is lying to you when you have to wait a little while for what we know is going to be an excellent product is just rude and hurtful. Y’all can do better.

I am excited to get the new series. I look forward to using it. I am sorry and a little disappointed that it’s taking longer than expected, but I refuse to attack someone I know is working their butt off every day for me. Knock it off and show some love and understanding.

Huh??
I just re-read the posts on this thread & am not seeing rudeness. I don't consider expressing one's disappointment as rudeness (except recently - chill girl - take your own advice). It's a natural consequence of projects not being delivered as expected & a lack of communication about when to expect them. Most all of us love Cathe & enjoy her workouts, or we wouldn't have pre-ordered. Some of us have more patience with SNM (but maybe not so much with Cathletes expressing disappointment). Doesn't make either right or wrong. Everyone's entitled to their opinions & feelings whether someone else deems them rude, not nice or counter-productive. Thankfully we live in a country with free speech.

I'm still looking forward to this series.

JMO of course. :)

Hi everyone,

Oops I am joining the "prepared to be lambasted" wagon just to add: loyal cathletes/Hardcore usually own the entire collection.

That being, we can always reach out for other Cathe's gems. Some rely on you tube stuff etc..... No judgment.... I chose to solely workout Cathe and or my own stuff. I work out 95% Cathe and I don't feel missing out on anything.

I am chilling and patiently waiting as always. Life is too short to let oneself "being disappointed" for this delay. Just saying!

I will be sad if she stops making DVDs. I don't want to buy an unchaptered download, and I don't want to subscribe to her full library or the cheaper live option either. I simply hate streaming for exercise, as I pause, FF, Rewind and skip chapters a lot with a DVD remote that is more fully functional than a roku remote. Sad because I think going forward she WILL offer less intense workouts as she herself gets older and be more sensitive to that issue. Just very sad....I am 67 years old. Just FYI I do love streaming movies and prefer that to DVDs so its not that I don't love tech, I actually do. I tried Jessica Smith streaming and hated it.

I would be sad if Cathe stops producing dvds. They are pretty much a "luxury" compared to free stuff posted on YouTube. As far as quality is concerned, there is no comparison. IMO

That said, I stick to what works for me.
I am a tech person too.

My appreciation of Cathe's past library of workouts isn't lessened by my desire/expectation of receiving an update on delivery of a workout I preordered.

If anything, it shows my continued interest in what she produces...and that the length of time between my payment in February hasn't dampened my interest in the finished product.

In fact, asking for an updated timeline on delivery of what I ordered shows my continued loyalty (instead of asking for a cancellation of my order.)

Hopefully we can all carry on anticipating this release by either asking for updates... or silently not desiring updates. Neither expression during this delay is any less (or more) of a Cathe customer.

Not sure what you mean... I have almost every dvd Cathe has ever produced & do her weight workouts almost exclusively. Expresssing disappointment does not make me "disloyal", nor an enemy. Just saying.
I think you have missed the point.

The Cathe collection offers numerous workouts.
Enough alternatives to outweigh the inconvenience caused by the "delay" #IMHO
