Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Oktober 2024

Today I did CDorner Glutes and Booty, 27 minutes, 90 calories, heart rate 109/160. I then did CDorner Mobility Yoga, but stopped after some of the plank work, 11 minutes, 22 calories. This was too much on the hands and did not want to aggravate the ribs and chest. I then did Raw Stretch Flow 20 minutes, 40 calories. I was not in the best spirits. Lack of sleep because of ribs hurting. My grandson is coming over after work to help my husband with something and I am making dinner for them.

Good morning,

Jessica Smith Total Body PHA is done. I have PT this morning, needed to get my workout in early.

I will be back later to catch up on personals. Need to get ready.

This morning I did STS 2.0 Body Parts Chest. I love these one body part workouts, I've been doing one a week and enjoying them. I noticed this time I was a bit weaker than last time, probably because I stopped doing STS and all the lifting. I did well with it, though, and my chest was burning.

1 minute rest between each set.

Flat Bench Press #1: 25's - 10 reps
Flat Bench Press #2: 25's - 10 reps
Flat Bench Press #3: 25's - 8 reps
Flat Chest Fly #1: 22.5's - 10 reps
Flat Chest Fly #2: 22.5's - 9 reps
Flat Chest Fly Pinkie In: 20's - 10 reps
Incline Bench Press: 25's - 10 reps
Incline Close Grip Press: 20's - 10 reps
Incline Unilateral Chest Press: 20's - 6 reps alternating
Incline Bench Press/Close Grip Combo: 20's - 6 reps (tough!)
Incline Pause Chest Fly #1: 15's - 8 reps
Incline Pause Chest Fly #2: 15's - 6 reps
Incline Unilateral Fly: 15's - 6 reps alternating
Banded Low/High Chest Fly: 15# Band - 12 reps
Banded Mid Chest Fly: 30# Band - 12 reps
Pause Push ups: 10 reps (on knees)

Workout was 37 minutes, burned 139 calories, HR 95/134.

I also did most of STS 2 Total Body Stretch. That's just ok for me, I don't really feel stretched when I get done with this one. Not sure why?

Jolie - I'm almost 100% sure caffeine is the issue. I cut back a while ago and as the weeks progress I keep adding more and more. I made percolated coffee Sunday and I had like 3 cups of that which was stupid. I paid for it yesterday. So now I'm back to my 2 cups a day. I love coffee and it bums me out that I have to watch how much I drink. I would drink decaf but that is so unhealthy the way they make it. Plus it still has caffeine in it. Glad you had a great vacation and wow on the miles you walked!! The R&R workouts are so fun!

Belinda - I'm ok now, like I said to Jolie, I think it was the caffeine. This has happened before. Believe me, if it happens again I will go to the doctor! Sorry to hear about all the issues you are going through. :( Hope your PT appointment goes well.

Diane - Hope you are feeling more alive today. I hate not getting a good nights sleep. Really makes a huge difference in my productivity. Good job with your workout yesterday.

Roselyn - Right? Where did October go!! Great job with your workouts.

Have a great day everyone!

Today I went for a 3.2 mile walk with the pup, 1 hour and burned 421 calories. It is so hot and dry out right now, I am just waiting for another fire to start. It seems that there was one while I was gone, there is black ash everywhere.

Debbie, great job on the workout and I am happy that you cut back on the coffee. I know that is what is causing the issue, it did the same for me too. The ER doctor says she sees this all of the time with woman and suggests cutting back and if you do not see an issue again, that is the reason. Your weights are really up there for your workout today. I need to buy those workouts, are they all on one dvd?

Diane Sue, I have to go back and read the post for the past week, but what is causing the pain? Great job on your workout yesterday and I hope you slept good last night.

Belinda, I hope you have a good PT appointment, and you feel better.

Roselyn, nice job on the workouts.

Make it a great day. I am getting a new couch delivered today, I am so excited! I got it at Crate and Barrel, and it is so pretty.

This morning I did an oldie but one I remember really liking. It's RAW Boxing/Sculpting and has Kelly's brother, Dennis in it. I actually thought it was called something else, not sure if she updated the title or not? It's almost one of the first workouts she posted on her channel. I did it this morning and loved it. It has boxing and intervals of light weight boxing or light weight endurance exercises. I did what Dennis did using 5's and I did the boxing part Kelly does without Dennis with 3's. Fun workout. I did not use my egg weights as the boxing part was fast.

Then I did RAW Abs Finisher - thanks Diane, that was the one I was looking for last week. This is a burner. Only complaint is she only plays two songs (both of her sons made these songs) and she plays each one 3 times through. You get tired of hearing them but the workout is so good you can overlook it. Great workouts!!

Both workouts were 44 minutes total, burned 417 calories (holy moly!), did 2319 steps and HR was 155/184.

Jolie - No, the One Body Part workouts are not all on one DVD, there are three DVD's with two body parts on each DVD. So Chest and Tris, Back and Bis and Legs and Shoulders. They are worth the money, believe me. You would love the boxing workout I did this morning. When you look for it, go to the Cardio tab and it's at the very bottom. You'll see Kelly with an older man. That's the workout.

Belinda - Glad your PT appointment went well!!

Roselyn - Great job with your workout.

Roxie - Where are you?

I miss Cam and Doreen.

Have a great day everyone!

I know, what happened to Cam and Doreen? Remember Teddy! I know she got into personal training about 15 years ago so she probably did not do Cathe anymore. Also, I remember she tore something in her shoulder and had surgery.

Today I did Cathe STS 2.0 Upper Body workout #1 and had a fantastic workout. I see that I am weaker in my overhead presses and my chest presses, something I need to work on going forward. I have also lost strength with my Lateral Raises; my arms are very long and 10's just about kill me now days. Workout was 1 hour, and I burned 402 calories. There is a study that just came out and it says people with strong muscular quad muscles live the longest. I need to start working my legs more!

Debbie, great job on the workout today. I wrote it down, maybe I can do it this weekend since tomorrow I have a walk on the calendar. Is this a low impact workout?

Roselyn, great job with the workout today. Are you still doing hair and if so, how do you like it?

Belinda, I just pay the $10 per month for the Cathe Live workouts, though that is a great price! You should sign back up!

Diane Sue, I hope you slept good and have a good workout today!

Make it a great day. Has anyone started their Christmas shopping yet? I have not bought one thing yet :(

Hi,

Today was Jesscia M.I.S.S Cardio Fitness = 30 min. I liked it, not to fast or crazy moves. I also did my PT exercises. I am cleaning my windows :(

Debbie - great job on your workout. I have no idea what happened to Doreen and Cam? I hope both are well.

Jolie - I do remember Teddy. She is a personal trainer in TX. I am friends with her on FB, need to reach out to her. I probably will not sign up for CL. I need to get my neck, shoulder, biceps and knees better. Jessica Smith workouts are shorter and gentler. Maybe in a few month.

Where is Diane? I hope you feeling better with your ribs?

I will be back later.

Good Afternoon,

Dealing with health stuff, DH has nodules on his lungs but they are not real concerned about them then he had a mole removed in his ear and I had a CT scan yesterday and found out I have cysts on my liver and kidneys but for now they are worried about them. I have continued my walking doing over 2 miles everyday.

Yesterday I did CDorner Back and Biceps 28 minutes, 81 calories, heart rate 97/133, CDorner Step Hiit stopping after rnd 1 and doing the stretch, 19 minutes, 94 calories, heart rate 126/155, finishing with Flow with Myra everd
ay spine, 17 minutes, 33 calories. 64 minutes, 208 calories. Sort of feeling low lately. I wish Cathe would get the new workouts done.

Today I did a mixture of workouts and just kept my watch running, so started with CDorner Step quitting because music and stand up of George Clooney irritated me. Not in the mood I guess. So I started Raw Cardio Crush and stopped with the plank knee ins because of my rib issue, and finished with Raw Just Step 4 which was a fun workout, 47 minutes, total, 211 calories, heart rate 124/157,5,025 steps. I finished with Raw Yoga Stretch, 14 minutes, 14 calories.
Raw Back/Biceps tubing and dumbbells
band pull heavy tubing
1 bentover 1 arm row 20#
lat pull down with tubing heavy
alternating curl lowering with iso hold 12# dbs
tubing pulsing curls heavy
repeat all with a couple of changes like 1 arm row with a twist
repeat all a third time

Belinda, nice work on JS Total Body PHA yesterday. Is that on her website? Good job on today's M.I.S.S Jessica Smith and PT. I need to clean my windows again. I do like that they are easy to pull down inside to clean for the most part.

Debbie, great job on yesterday's STS 2 Body Parts Chest and Total Body Stretch and today's Raw Boxing and Sculpting and Raw Abs Finisher. I think that boxing and sculpting was originally on youtube. It is probably still there. I always liked the standing portion of the abs from that ab workout. I usually only drink 1 cup of coffee in the mornings and once in a while I will have a second. I won't be able to sleep at night with any more than that. I purchase single origin coffee, usually Ethopia and pick ones that are checked for mycotoxins. Single is safer.

Jolie, nice work yesterday on the walk with the pup and today's STS 2 Upper Body. I went to my arhritis doctor and he gave me a steroid. I went over things with him and talked about the wrap around pain mostly on the left side that comes and goes but is staying most of the time and all of the areas that have been causing me problems. He gave me a steroid and said if it helps it is the arthritis. He thinks the rib stuff is possibly pleurisy which can happen with Rheumatoid arthritis, so the lining between ribs and lungs is inflamed. I am not sure he is correct. Then in his notes from the visit he is thinking of giving me an immunosuppressant drug. I go back in January. I am really bummed. I have been able to manage things for the most part, but some things are changing.

Roxie, I have lung nodules that they monitor all of the time. So far there has not been changes over the last 4 years. I gathered it is pretty normal to find some. Sorry they found cysts on your liver & kidneys.

Today I did STS 2.0 Body Parts Triceps. Had an excellent workout. The more I do these one body part workouts, the more I like them.

1 minute rest between sets.

Lying Overhead Barbell Extension: 30# - 3 sets/10 reps
R/L Single Arm Overhead Extension: 12# - 1 set/9 reps (went to failure)
R/L Single Arm Overhead Extension: 10# - 1 set/10 reps
Dips: 25# BB in lap - 3 sets/8 reps
R/L Kneeling Single Arm Kickback: 10# - 2 sets/10 reps
Band Overhead Extension: 15# band - 2 sets/12 reps
Band Triceps Pressdown, Palms back: 20# band - 2 sets/12 reps
Band Reverse Grip Pressdown, Palms front: 20# band - 2 sets/12 reps

Great workout. It was 38 minutes, burned 269 calories, HR was 129/158. I worked hard on this one and wet up in weights. Last time I did this one I only burned 191 calories.

Jolie - I didn't know Teddy became a personal trainer. I'm so happy for her! I hope she is kicking ass. I wouldn't bank much on those types of studies but I agree it's good to keep our weight training up. Yes, the boxing workout I did yesterday was low impact. No jumping at all. Great job with your workout yesterday!!

Belinda - I need to clean my windows! They are awful. Any word on your RV yet? I hope you get it back before winter hits.

Roxie - So sorry to hear you and your dh are going through some medical things right now. I hope all comes out ok for you both.

Diane - Sorry you are feeling down lately. Just keep your head up and keep working out. Those are the best endorphins we can ask for. My abs are so sore fom the Ab Finisher workout, it's crazy. Actually, I am sore all over from my workouts this week. My chest is still very sore, my abs and I'm sure my tri's will be tomorrow. I should purchase better coffee but I just can't believe how expensive it is. Plus the stores I shop don't have good coffee. Aldi's sometimes has organic fresh ground but not always.

Well everyone, it is Friday and I am so happy about that! Hope you all have a great weekend and workouts!

Good morning,

JS TB Super Circuit = 43 min plus Suzanne Bowen Fitness Feel Good Cardio = 30 min is done. JS did a Plank w/ a clam shell, I skipped that one and did regular clam shell. It was a good workout. Feel Good Cardio isn’t a real cardio workout, more like stretching and lengthening.

Debbie - the RV is still in the shop in AL. They working on the wood work (paining, repairing and putting on a door where the bunk bed is. Not sure how long it will take at this point? We have a lot of windows to clean. It will take us a while. Great job on your workout. I like Costco coffee. It comes in a yellow

Diane - sorry you are feeling down. Hang in there. I agree with Debbie. I always feel better when I work out. Maybe take a nice walk outside. Lately the weather isn’t too bad for walking. That always puts me in a better mood. I have a lot of windows to clean. Ours don’t pull down. I only can clean them on the inside, Dh cleans the outside. Do you remember the name of your windows? We are looking to replace all our windows.

Roxie - sorry you are dealing with health stuff. Hang in there. Hope you hear some positive news soon. I know it’s nerve racking.

I got a run. I have an orthodontist appointment. It’s just a check up. BBl

Good Evening,

I walked 2.14 miles today. I had to quit taking my meloxicam for my hip pain and today at worked kicked my butt so I shortened my walk. Doctor wants me to take nex for the next two weeks to calm my stomach down. Good news is my pancreatitis is now gone.

Today I took my dog to the vet to get a steroid injection to help her itchiness and elbow healing. So I did not get my workout in till I got home. I did CDorner Cardio Aerobics Low/or High impact which had fun music, 31 cqalories, 173 calories, 4,418 steps. I also did CDorner Mobility day 18 shoulders and chest, 13 minutes, 38 calories. I forgot to use yoga on my Garmin so calories come from me using cardio. You would not think it would make a difference with the settings. Total time was 43 minutes, 211 calories.

Debbie, nice work on STS 2 Body Parts Triceps today. Exercising is definitely a good way to destress. My favorite coffee is from a local roaster downtown. The only way I get it though is when I order through Whole Foods delivery. I could order straight from the coffee place, but they charge a lot for delivery on top of the 19 dollar to 25 dollar 12 oz bag of coffee. They don't even show a reduction in price with subscription coffee. It goes faster because I tend to want a second cup because I love the coffee.
I use my Breville expresso machine to brew and if I get a coffee that has to many oils on the beans the water does not flow through the filter well. It probably would be the same with paper filter coffee, but not noticed as much. I only use whole bean coffee and grind what I am using at the moment so it is fresh as I can get it. I am super picky about the coffee. Amazon has a few that are okay, but not as good as the local ones. Fortunately, my husband hates coffee, and I do not have to share.

Belinda, good job on JS Total Body Super Circuit and SB Feel Good Cardio today. I would have done regular clams too. Yes, working out does help. I have been a little short on time lately. It seems there is some problem or something I need to tackle in the mornings when I usually have devotions and my workouts. I looked to see if there was a stamp on one of the windows, but there isn't. It sure makes cleaning windows nice.

I forgot to check in yesterday. I took the pup for a 1 hour 18-minute walk through the hills, traveled 4 miles and burned 528 calories. Today is a rest day, my pup was up all-night barking, and I am exhausted. I will workout tomorrow for sure. My dogs are itching like crazy too because of the dry weather so they both get a bath today with oatmeal shampoo!

Diane Sue, maybe your ribs are out of alignment. If they are, it is horrible pain and it is very difficult to lay down, breath and do just about anything. I would go to a Chiropractor and have them check them before starting drugs. My ribs go out occasionally and it really side lines me till I get them adjusted.

Roxie, I am sorry to hear that you are having a few health concerns in your family, I hope everything turns out ok.

Great job with the workouts yesterday everyone!

Good Evening,

I did Box & Pump 7 and has some of the good music from TLC Boxing. I have to find a decent pair of shoes for being on my feet all day my hips and low back are hurt real bad since she took me off my medication so no walk.

Today I had an excellent workout. I did CL #136 Upper Body Challenge with the Ball, but I used a bench instead. The ball tends to hurt my low back, and I do not want to get injured when I can avoid injury by using a bench. Workout was 1 hour, and I burned 488 calories. I do not do abs much lately and boy am I weak in that area of the body. I need to start focusing more on abs and legs with ski season right around the corner.

I hope you all have a great Sunday. Tomorrow is a rest day for me, I have an early Chiro appointment to keep me pain free! I noticed that now that I am forcing myself not to lift heavy weights, my injuries are way down. I would rather be pain free than lifting heavy and having more muscle definition. I still have definition just not as much muscle mass.
