Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for October 2019

This morning I did all of Kelly's RAW Kickbox & Kettlebell workout. Had a great workout and I like this one. I also did part of RAW Cardio Crush because I had some time left over. On the fence with that one, a lot of shoulder work due to the plank work and squat thrusts. My upper back didn't like that.

KB & KB was 35 minutes, burned 266 calories and did 2216 steps. HR was 142/167.

Cardio Crush was 22 minutes, burned 164 calories and did 993 steps. HR was 137/169.

Why doesn't Fitbit just have a Cardio setting on the watch? I used the Kickbox setting for KB&KB and the Workout setting for Cardio Crush.

Debbie, I use the workout setting for pretty much everything. I do not see much difference when I try those other settings. In fact the yoga setting gives me practically nothing which is not much different for it, but it is too low anyway. I don't mind cardio crush, but it is not a favorite for step work on the raw workouts.

Belinda, nice work on lower body today.

Roselyn, I loathe everything about moving. The selling, the packing, the putting away, and just too much stress.
 
Roselyn, I get to move in 6 months again if the owner of our house doesn't want to renew our lease. I know he wanted to sell the house prior to us leasing it so who knows what will happen.

Today i had a great kickboxing workout, I did Les Mill Kata 45 and it was so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't done this workout in so long i forgot how killer it is. :) There is only one part with a jumping kick and i can modify so it is all low impact kicking and punching. i have to say, i felt like a real badass doing the workout because it is similar to a Karate class. Workout was 45 minutes and i burned 460 calories which included a great stretch at the end. Average heart rate was 133 and max was 179. It will be 100 degrees here today!!!!!

Debbie, great job on the Kelly Raw workouts today. I am going to look at some treadmills this weekend so maybe i can add some walking at the end of each workout like you do. I really have to drop some weight and walking is what usually does it for me.

Belinda, nice job on the lower body workout today. I get my IV drips at places that specialize in only that kind of therapy. Just google IV Therapy near me and you should find place where you can go in and get specialized drips depending on what you are trying to achieve. I get immune boosting ones with extremely high doses of vitamin C and other vitamins to combat against sickness.

Roselyn, i felt the same way about my move and doing my last workout in my home gym that i loved. However, i love my new home gym more because it over looks the Pacific Ocean and i get a nice breeze. Nothing can replace the home that you raised your children in!

Diane Sue, i hope you have a nice workout today and are you having any pain today? I am feeling pretty good right now, its a miracle.

Today I did Jessica Smith You Tube Step and Stride, 40 minutes(36 actual but I started it and got the wrong workout) 250 calories, 136 average heart rate, 169 max, 3,656 steps. I like her step work so far. Pretty simple and non complicated and low impact. She uses the high step with both of the workouts I have done, with instructions to just turn the step bench and work off the end if you have a full size step. I then did Coffey Fit Raw tubing works skipping the shoulders, 36 minutes, 126 calories, met 5.0, 476 steps, heart rate average 97, max 136. I finished with PT exercises, a few lower stretches, and Yoga Tune Up Upper, neck segment, 40 minutes, 89 calories2.5 met, 78 steps. Total time was 1 hour 56 minutes, 465 calories, 4,210 steps.
 
I was up early today to get a workout in before the first session. I did Sydney Cummings lower body for 25 minutes and then switched and did an upper body for 20 minutes.

No workout today, it was so windy last night that i thought our house would blow away LOL! I have allergies so bad and there are fires burning again so the air quality is bad to workout in. Today will be my 2nd rest day for the week.

Doreen, great job on getting a workout in today.

Hi,

Went to see my doc this morning. He said my finger is healing. It looks worth than it is, lol. I still have to keep my finger covered up. My skin fell off around my index finger. I have to wait until it grows back. The swelling is completely down. Finger is still looks red/blue, which should go away soon. He wants me to stop using the antibiotics cream, use a different one to help the skin grow back on my finger. I am hoping in a few day's my finger is as good as new :p I still can't my finger wet.

Today I did Tri Sets Upper Body and SBF Outer Tights.

Jolie - oh no! I hope you get some rest and stay safe.

I had to be at work a the butt crack of dawn - actually, it wasn't even dawn when I got there - so I didn't have a chance to post my workout.

I just walked on treadmill because I had to start at 5 and just didn't have it in me to do anything more. So I walked for 30 minutes, burned 199, went 1.52 miles and did 3729 steps. HR 120/133.

This morning I did Jessica Smith Walk Strong Get Fit and Have Fun: Have a Ball, 36 minutes, 208 calories heart rate 133 average, 169 max,2,650 steps. I then did Walk Strong Balance + Inner Strength: balance and agility that uses a band, heart rate average 112, max 145, 114 calories, 30 minutes, 1,136 steps. I still have the third one in this set that is light weights and focuses posture that I want to get. Total time was 66 minutes, 322 calories, 3,786 steps. So much rain the last two days. I picked up my grandson from school today. My first time to this school and it took me 40 minutes to get there. On the way back we stopped at the bank and Sprouts before I came home.

Jolie, I am sorry that you allergies are bothering you. Those winds can be miserable.

Belinda, it is amazing how bad something can look when it is healing. I am glad that you are on the mend, but not as glad as I am sure that you are.

Debbie, it is not fun having to get up that early to do something. Nice workout anyway :)
 
Today I did Yvette Bachman's Moderate Impact Step and Multi Muscle Group Training which focused on Legs, Back and Shoulders with some Biceps thrown in too. I loved this workout! This used to be easy for me before i hurt my back and now it is so hard!!!! I am out of shape but working to get back to my fighting weight! :) Workout was 1 hour and i burned 628 calories. I used 3 risers and Yvette uses 2. Average heart rate was 131 and max was 171. I think all of you would love this workout, the impact is low and if you cant do some of the step blasts then sub with something you can do. I could do all of it and you all know how much of a high impact wimp i am.

Roselyn, how did the move go and how do you like your new house? I hope your back is doing ok from all of that heavy lifting. Now you have to unpack everything you packed!

Belinda, how is your finger today? Great job in getting some workouts in even though you have been suffering with that darn finger.

Debbie, i am looking at a Treadmill tomorrow. I think it is over priced so i am going to try to get the price down a little. I cant wait to start walking again, it has been way too hot to walk outside here lately.

Diane Sue, I am making Italian Minestrone Soup today for dinner with hot Italian sausage and tons of veggies with a little pasta in it. I love it and it is great for football games!

Doreen, did you get home from Chicago alright? I bet you are busy this weekend so i hope you get a workout in!

My sons team plays Wyoming today so i am excited to watch the game.

Today I did Walk Strong Build Balance + Inner Strength Poise and Grace 36 minutes, heart rate average 118, Max 148, 1,267 steps, met 6.5, 164 calories. I used 1,2, and 3 # dumbbells and modified on the shoulders. This is supposed to be for posture. I then did Jane Adams 7yoga practices for your day: Core Strength, 38 minutes ( I did a few other stretches) 114 steps, 50 calories. Total time 1 hour 14 minutes, 214 calories, 1,481 steps.

Jolie, it takes time to get the strength back. I am using up my soups that I have frozen. I will have to start making some soon. I mainly have a chicken curry soup and a hamburger soup that has some mustard, tomatoes, and a bit of dill pickle in it. I really like it. It was supposed to have iceberg lettuce in it, but I put a bit of kale in it. something did not seem right about wilty iceberg and nutrients are not so good with it.

Sorry for not checking in yesterday. Alesia is visiting us, we had a fun day yesterday. Today we meeting up with DS and my DIL.

I didn't get a workout in yesterday. I made up for it today. I did All Out Low Impact HiiT. DD worked out with me today.

Jolie - fantastic cal burn. Thank you my finger is getting better each day.

Today I started week 2 of Cathe October rotation. I did Tabatacise on the rebounder.

Roselyn - glad the move went well. It will take a few day/or weeks to fully settle in. Aww...that's awesome your son set up your workout room.

This morning I did Cathe Live Double Cardio HiiT Compound and had a pretty good workout. I liked it, but I ended up using only 1 set of risers versus the 2 she used. I did the first Hiit with the double risers and I just kept feeling like I was going to trip. I'd rather be safe than sorry. This is a fun workout, pretty high impact so I modified a bit, but I still got my HR up. The compound part of it was light weight exercises. Fun stuff, I will definitely be doing this one again.

Workout was 40 minutes, burned 319 calories, did 2483 steps and HR was 147/190.

I then did RAW 6/60 Abs. Skipped all the pushups and did Russian Twists or something else for abs instead. I like this one, it gets in there good with the ab work. I want to concentrate on my abs for a while, they truly need help!!

Today I did Low Impact Circuit time saver cardio blast, 48 minutes, 352 calories, heart rate 150 average, 190 max, 4,332 steps, met 8.3. I thought the heart rate reading was high, but then things seemed really low for weights today. I did Kelly's Raw 5 Day Strength day 3 shoulders and legs skipping the shoulders. I started at 13 minutes with the core segment that splits shoulders and legs. This was 27 minutes, 89 calories, met 4.5, 313 steps, heart rate average 98, max 130. I finished with my PT exercises which are basically shoulder and upper back work, 24 minutes, 41 calories, 185 steps. Total time was 99 minutes, 482 calories, 4,830 steps. I need to go out and run errands before the cold ugly weather hits. I will check back in awhile.
 
This morning started off terribly for me and i didn't feel like working out. My son has had his car taken away because his poor grades so i have to take him to school lately. He is so mad about it and screams at me the whole way to school, he says the most hurtful things and i cry everyday. It is not the way to start your day everyday! So i was really upset but made myself workout, and i am so glad that i did. It made me feel so much better and i am ready to take on the day. I did come into the house so upset and told my husband he has to take him to school going forward. It is not far he sets the rules and i am the one that has to carry it out and get the backlash for it. I just cant do it anymore. Sorry, i had to vent... :( Anyway i did Cathe Live, Upper Body, Lower Body DB Challenge and boy was is it a challenge. This is the best total body workout going, i had to modify some lunges and pushups but other than that i did the whole workout with Cathe. Workout was hour and i burned 548 calories. You do 3 exercises for each body part 2 times around each Giant Set. This is a higher rep workout, average reps are 16. I will be feeling it tomorrow. I did some leg exercises off a high step to get some cardio in as well.

Debbie, i haven't done that Cathe Live workout yet, i will have to check it out. I went to look at TMills yesterday, new ones and boy are they expensive. All the used TMills out there the owners never contact you back so you can buy it! I am not sure what i am going to do yet, i will look again today. I am ready to start walking and get some of this weight off that i gained over the summer. I think i can get a lower end one because all i do is walk, it has to have a longer deck since i am tall and an incline. I don't want to pay for all those bells and whistles that i will never use.

Belinda, It sounds like you had a great weekend with your family. Nice job on Tabatisize, that is a tuff one!

Jolie - Did Lebron's house burn? I heard they were told to leave but I didn't hear it burned. That's so sad, I wouldn't wish that on anyone, even though I don't like the guy. He is a jerk. But no one deserves to live through that. Great job with your workout, I'll have to try that one soon and I'm sorry about your son. I would have stopped the car and made him get out. He can walk to school. Sorry, disrespectful kids really tick me off.
