Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for May 2020

I slept like a rock last night after that cardio workout yesterday:) I swear I felt like I was sinking into the mattress of the bed and couldn't move, I love to feel like that when I sleep. I also took a sleep concoction and boy did it put me out. I use a drink called SLEEP which has Melatonin, Tryptophan, Magnesium and H-TP in it. Then I took a Melatonin Gummie, 5mg and more H-TP. Wow did I sleep great and I was so relaxed. Today I walked on the TM for 30 minutes, higher incline but slower speed and traveled 1.6 miles. Then I did Cathe Live, #284 Arms and Abs, (same as Debbie) and had a great workout. The Biceps and Shoulder portion is killer, I loved it. Total workout time was 1 hour 30 minutes and I burned 611 calories. My average heart rate was 116 and max was 171. The incline on the TM really gets my heart rate up around the 30 minute mark.

Debbie, I am so glad you signed up for CL! If you like slower workouts do the ones with the ball because you cant go fast or you will bounce. Also, other workouts that I love are: Touch up training upper body, basic but good. I also love All in upper body, I do this one all of the time. Nice workout today, we did the same one! Thanks for the link to the pillow. What one did you get the 7 inch? I am getting one for my husband asap. I used to get rushed to the hospital or doctors office thinking I was having a heart attack or I was deeply depressed and couldn't function. Come to find out, I was so sleep deprived from having to work full time, get up at 4am to workout and then deal with 2 boys and all of their football and homework after I got home from work and never got any sleep because my husband snored all of the time. I had a total breakdown and I wasn't having a heart attack or was I depressed. I was exhausted! My doctor advised me not to sleep with my husband every night so I could recoup and function. He gets so mad at me because I cant deal with it!!!! Imagine that, he is the issue and he is mad at me! I don't care anymore, I want to feel great and live life to the fullest. I need 9 to 10 hours of good sleep, he only needs 6 or 7. I refuse to feel horrible anymore. I am getting that pillow for him right now! Great job on your workout today. What are you doing tomorrow, cardio?

Belinda, nice walk, 4 miles, I did that too! Also, way to go on the CL workout, I don't do dips either, I do triceps pull downs instead or lying cross body ext. How are the knees doing? Walking doesn't bother mine at all, its the squats that do it to me.

Diane Sue, I swear there is always something wrong with electronics! They drive me crazy because I can never seem to fix the problem. Thank goodness I have teenagers who are a whiz at them so they can help me out. Nice workout yesterday. How do you like working out in the afternoons? You have so much time now since you don't watch the grand kids right now! I bet you miss them.
Doreen, nice workout for a movement day! How is the weather in CO right now? Is all of the snow gone?

Roselyn, I hope you have a nice workout today. Did you get the job at the other salon? So many of ours are closing down, it is so sad . I think a lot of people are starting to do it from their homes or going to peoples houses instead of having to pay for the real estate. Let me know what happens, either way they will start opening and getting back to normal except for wearing a mask.

Have a wonderful day my friends.

Today I did Coffey Fit Raw Box & Pump 3, 58 minutes, 249 calories, 3,942 steps, heart rate 118/164. I used a 35# barbell, 15 dbs, and 10 dbs for this. I followed with Fit Bit "Pop Sugar" 15 minute at home cardio no running, 15 minutes, 66 calories, 1,009 steps, heart rate 118/148. It lost my heart rate for a bit  I wish I could figure out how to get my steps and stuff to sync with the scale app. I did my heart rate with it using my cell phone this morning and it was on the money with the fitbit. Maybe I just have a low heart rate most of the time. The app keeps telling me to track my activity, but when I click it it wants me to get Google Fit. I am not running around with my cell phone strapped to my body 24 hours a day. Anyway stats were the same this morning as yesterday. I deleted all of the extra tries and just kept the two morning readings. I liked the after workout the best LOL even my fat reading was less. Checked my Omron and it is lower than my Withings scale. The app reads lb of different aspects like fat mass, muscle mass etc. The scale gives me a percentage which is a bit confusing.
Box & Pump 3 weights are done 1 minute each exercise Also there are some kicks with the boxing as this one has more focus on lower than the other two box and pump workouts. I love this one and the music is good.
boxing
squats 35# barbells
squats 15# dbs
plies holding two dbs together and coming up on toes in the lowered position before rising 10# dbs
reverse lunge 35# barbell
good morning 10# dbs
boxing
front lunge 35# barbell
bulgarian split squat (I used 3 risers and my high step) 15# dbs
curtsy lunge alterating 10# dbs could have gone heavier and if I had looked at my notes I had that down
boxing
side to side step with loop band
squat side to side with loop band
kick leg back with loop band
boxing
side lying clams shell with loop band
bridges with loop band open and close knees
stretch

Debbie, I had to restart my cell phone after my workout today to get it to sync. That is so frustrating because we waste our time trying to get it to sync, only to realize we have to restart the phone. Praying you get to keep your job or the perfect job comes up for you. I told my husband if we left a recorder in our room it would probably be a snoring duet. He snores mainly when he is on his back. I literally wake myself up sometimes, so I know I do. It does make a good nights sleep difficult. I have injured myself so many times trying to do exactly what Cathe does. I forget when I am feeling great and working out, otherwise my body says ouch when I do some things that I probably should not do.

Doreen, Cardio Party is a great one for just getting moving. :)

Belinda, Kelly mentioned not going as low with the dips on one of her raw workouts, so that you kept the work in the triceps and not the shoulders. It always seemed I would feel myself dropping down into my shoulders and feel it in my traps. Nice work today and great choices for substituting.

Jolie, I missed your post. Gosh, it I took all of that stuff and especially melatonin I would have the worst nightmares ever. I always worry about too much of that kind of thing. Have been drinking a coffee Wildcrafter spiritual calm which is a decaf coffee with chamomile, passion flower, and something else in it. Between that and the Ancient nutrition multi collagen rest+ recovery and extra magnesium I sleep better.
My husband does not like to have me sleep somewhere else. I do it sometimes when I am coughing excessively and know I am keeping him awake. Haven't had to do that in awhile. I think when I finally give up and sleep upstairs he is ready for the break and to get some sleep. I don't do it when he is off though. Great workout. I imagine I could get my granson in law? who works IT for a payroll company to help. He is the one that worked on it and got everyone set up to do the Zoom chat. I had a hard time and he fixed it on his end.
To be honest I do not really like sleeping late and working out in the afternoons. I barely have time to run an errand and then I spend a few hours with my husband and send him off to work. Housecleaning gets done at 10 at night. Not doing well with it as I would rather just sit and look at the computer or something all day. My motivation stinks. It poured rain last night, but today it is nice at 82 degrees. Funny I had to turn the furnace back on for 3 days and now the temps are back up. I live in Oklahoma :) I saw most of my grandkids on Mothers day. It was so nice having them here.
Every time I try to post the Wildcrafter coffees on Amazon it gives a link to my purchase info. They have different coffees. I have used the immunity one as well as the Calm one.

Julie - fantastic job on the CL and walk today. Walking doesn't hurt my knees. Squats do hurt my knees, I don't go so deep more shallow. Thanks for the recommendations on the triceps. I will rotate them into my workouts.

Today was cardio and I did two fun workouts. Well, fun for me. First I did Kelly's Step Boxing 2 workout #1 which I think I've only done once and I had fun with it. Not too difficult but my knees really felt it. Step workouts just don't work for my knees anymore, and I only used one riser. But I did it and it was fun.

Workout was 30 minutes, burned 218 calories, did 2947 steps and HR was 131/171. I held onto my 1# dumbbells. Love those.

Then I did Max Mix Cardio 10 with Tahneetra and that one was tough even though it's listed under the beginners workouts. I guess it's as hard as you make it and I really gave it my all. My HR really got up there with the intervals yet my stupid FB showed between 98-122 the whole time. WTH? What did they change with these? This thing used to be so much more accurate.

Anyways, workout was 16 minutes, burned only 85 calories (MT said 109), went .33 miles and did 861 steps. HR was 113/156. Now why did it read up to 156? I never seen it get that high on the watch screen.

Doreen - Great job with your workout yesterday. Sometimes you just need a no brainer workout.

Belinda - I think we all feel like that when we change up exercises due to not injuring ourselves. I look back at what I used to do and shake my head. Some of the weights I used to lift were crazy. I benched a record 125# at one time and it was more than 1 rep. Crazy stuff, no wonder I hurt all the time. Great job with your workout and no worries on changing it up. We know how to train smart!!

Jolie - I'm with Diane, you shouldn't take so much stuff just to sleep. Homeopathic supplements can be bad if you take too much. Glad you got a good nights sleep, though, that does make a huge difference. I slept good last night but woke up on my side. WTH? Still on my elevated pillow, but still. Yes, I got the 7" pillow. I can't guarantee the snoring will go away but it should help. My DH and I both take turns snoring so I can't get mad at him for it. Plus I wouldn't sleep anywhere else unless I really wasn't getting any sleep at all. I seen the Touch Up workouts, I will probably try the total body one next week. Those look good.

Diane - Nice job with Box & Pump, love that workout. I'm with you on the FB issues, very frustrating. I try not to let it bother me because I think we know how hard we work, but still. You pay all that money for these devices and they should work.

Well, I've been watching those Hot & Flashy videos and learning so much. I purchased the Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Foundation and I love it. It is pricey so not sure how long I will be using it, but I really love it. Goes on nice, covers well and other than a bit of a perfumey smell, it's lasts all day long. It also makes my pores smaller - I used Bare Minerals before this and my pore always looked so huge. Anyways, love those videos. I also purchased Curology Retin-A and am using the Timeless Vitamin C and CoQ10 stuff and my skin is showing improvements. So happy about this!!

I did Sweat Factor #137 Rock Steady Strength this morning stopping before the cool down

Single Arm OH Press eccentric
Alternating side lunge
repeat 3x

Curtsy lunge + side knee drive right/left
Push up into rotational press
repeat 3x

Squat hold 30 sec then squats 15sec
repeat 3x

Then I did SF 175 Metabolic Power Crush one round of each grouping (workout does 2x but I was abbreviating for time restrictions)

Pushup to rotational plank -->Plank hold
Cossack squat side to side -->sumo squat hold
hang clean --> tricep kick back
repeat 2x

Single arm alternating high pull
Pike in and outs
RDL to bent row
Lunges
bear hold
burpee
Repeat 2x (I only did one round to shorten the workout)

Plank shoulder tap
Tuck Jumps
repeat 2x (I actually just skipped this set entirely because I was done and didn't want to jump! )

So far I've like the workouts I've tried. They are tough if you pick the right weights. But they seem like "burner" workouts - meaning you don't necessarily plan to repeat them in a rotation - they are just one off workouts that you do for fun and move on. I feel like I'm on the hunt for some workouts I can progress with and have fun with for the summer.

Hi everyone,

Today I walked before it gets too hot outside. Beautiful weather. That's it for me today.

I have a visual cooking class with Giada de Laurentiis tonight. I am so thankful my DD ordered the ingredients I need for the past dish tonight. Went to our Martin's grocery store in town, what a waist of time. I just don't get it why the shelves still not stocked :( DH and I went around 8 a.m. Every time I go to Martin's I get depressed. Luckily my Amazon oder arrived today. I have all the ingredients I need.

Debbie - I learned my lessons the hard way too. I had my share on injuries. I wished I known back them what I know now. My DD fitness instructor shares a lot of great tips with her class. I learned so much from DD on how to do things smarter. Her instructor doesn't recommend doing Russian twist in any form. The reason she doesn't recommend doing them is, you are twisting your spine. No wonder my back is killing me every time I do them. She believes doing a plank hold instead. It makes sense to me. Burpees is another one she wouldn't recommend for her clients. Most people cannot do it properly. There are safer exercises you can do instead like jump squats. The reason, they do burpees is to get your HR up. I also hate burpees. My DD instructor is amazing. Great job today.

I will be back tomorrow. Have a great Friday everyone.

Today was cardio, a 65 minute walk on Mountain climb mode and boy was it tough. The range of incline was from 5.5 to 8.5, speed was 3.0 on the high incline and 3.3 on the lower incline. Wow, I feel like a took a really good hike in the mountains today. Workout calorie burn was 631 and my average heart rate was 133 and max was 177. I bet my calves will be feeling this workout tomorrow.

Slept great again last night and I didn't need to take anything this time, it was cool and breezy so my hot flashes didn't kill me :) I don't take a lot to help me sleep and if I do I rotate it in on some days and off on others. Melatonin is the BEST antioxidant there is and it is the only one that can cross the Blood Brain Barrier and actually support the Brain function. This I will never give up no matter what but I don't need to take it all a lot. The 5 HTP works well so I take that sometimes too. Take Melatonin and look what it does to your skin, amazing results.

Debbie, Way to go on the workout today. The step doesn't bother my knees if I use it less then 2 times per week. What really hurts my knees are jumping jacks and squats, but I don't go low anymore. I take Turmeric now and that really helps with the joint pain. I am glad you like your new face cream from Este Lauder. I use the Bare Minerals, Skinlongevity line and love it! I like the face serum, eye serum/cream and neck cream. I just bought a new face serum called Glow Baby Booster Serum with Glycolic Acid and Vitamin C and love it. It was $15 which is reasonable in price and you get 1 fluid ounce. I love Glycolic acid, wow does it make your skin wake up and glow. I like that there is Vitamin C in it too. I got it at Target but I saw it on Ulta online. There is a whole line and it looks amazing and the reviews are fantastic. It is a little tacky feeling but that is ok because my skin is dry anyway. I am ordering the pillow today for my husband, he is excited about it!

Diane Sue, Why are you working out so late now days?, Because your husbands schedule changed? I remember you used to workout really early in the day before grand kids would come over or you had to take them to school. I could never workout in the afternoon, I would talk myself out of it, I get lazy at that time of the day and it gets too hot in my gym room. The workout you did yesterday looks really great. Are you going to go back to Cathe Live anytime soon?

Doreen, way to go on the workout today.

Belinda, nice walk today, I did one at the golf coarse this morning with my dog, it is so beautiful out today it was such a treat to get the fresh air. I love that you do cooking classes, how fun. I love to cook and follow a lot of cool cooks on Instagram. I love the healthy way they cook and they give me such great ideas. I am going to make chicken lettuce wraps with carrots, red bell pepper, green onion, wrapped in a lettuce leave with a peanut, cilantro, lime, red pepper oil sauce on the top. Yum. I want to make an Asian chicken salad next week to eat all week long. I love Gazpacho too, I cant wait to make that soon.

Roselyn, waving hi to you.

Make it a great day!

Today I did Coffey Fit Raw new on Kelly just put up. She said facebook workout. I just saw it on the check in late last night. It is Raw Cardio and Tone which is done in a gym by herself. I liked it and time went by quickly. This was 33 minutes(31:19 actual) heart rate 124/164, 1,948 steps. I then did Raw Intervals #5, 25 minutes, heart rate 126/162, 1,792 steps, 124 calories, finished with Raw Stretch and Tone 33 minutes, 44 calories, heart rate 88/131, 95 steps. I did not wear the ankle weights for this this time since it is optional and I just wanted the stretching and mobility. Total time was 91 minutes, 319 calories, 3,835 steps.
Raw Cardio and Tone 31:19 minutes
20 minutes cardio and then 10 minutes floor toning and stretch
warm up 2:45
cardio is 8 moves done for 45 seconds each then repeated after a rest an some jacks
squat/lunge/kick
hook/hook/jacks
achey feet
8 jabs/ circle bob right and left
lunge front /switch switch/ back step (think that was it)
speed bag high low/ squat shuffle right and left
jab cross/kick/set/ switch
rest and jacks repeat
Floor upper work
from floor push up to down dog
side lying triceps on right
explosive sit up knee pull
side lying triceps left
bridges
repeat

Got to run and will check back with posts later.

I am a bit obsessed about getting rid of body fat now. The problem is how to lower bodyfat and keep the weight on. That scale (I know it can't be right) says I have 25.6lb of fat mass with my weight at 110.8 which is where it has been stuck at which is better than the 108 I got down to when I went through all of the PT and stuff. I can see ab definition. I think it is wrong. My husband laughed when I told him, he doesn't believe it either. My Omron hand held gives me 18.6% body fat which is lower as I would really have to figure out how many lbs that is. Muscle Mass was 80lb today and bone mass is 4.4lb. Anyway, I guess I should be losing some fat. I need to eat less fat and work on my diet for artery plaque which I have been doing. Fat numbers have dropped on my food intake. This morning I was afraid to have my 1 Tablespoon of half and half I had allotted myself. Just venting here.

Debbie, maybe you could try just the platform or no step. I hear you though. My knees are bothering me more and more after step workouts and they are one of my favorite things to do. When I first got Step Boss and kept doing Step Sync and I Max 4 my knees really started hurting again when they had not been bothering me much. Kelly's do not usually bother me that much, particularly the interval ones that have you on and off the step and not so much press up and bouncing on and off the step. I was thinking that I used my weighted vest last time I did Intervals 5 (no step on that one) , but today my knees are both achy from all the lower body stuff yesterday so I did not push it.
I used Bare Minerals for a long time and it seemed my pores were always prominent and any dry spots showed up like crazy. I thought it was better for my acne prone oily skin. I tried a lot of foundations before I got the Tarte. Tried some others afterward too that were expensive and I did not like. In fact I still have some 100% pure foundation sitting around. Theirs always had too much of a yellow tint to it being colored with fruits. I gave up. They even took refunded one that broke me out and set me up with another and it still didn't work and is sitting in my cabinet. I went back to tarte. I just wanted that nice moist skin look. Ha!. I really do like the Skinceuticals my daughter got me. I purchased on jar of the cream at her price which is 40% off and was still 83 dollars. She got me the first one and asked if I wanted her to just get it for me for birthdays and Christmas, so I am set :) I would like to try the eye cream though. The last one I purchased was Burts Bees. It smelled like when I pull weeds. I should see if there are any vids on eye creams. That is wonderful that you found foundation that you love. I came to the conclusion that I have wasted so much money on products that I don't like and could have just purchased the one I liked and saved the waste. Tarte is not cheap either and I keep the primer foundation in a tube with lots of sunscreen and the regular foundation tube. The other for when I am out in the sun a lot. Also it does make the foundation look really good when worn under it, but I only do that for special occasions or a date night with my husband :)

Doreen, that looks like a good workout. Kind of intensive on the shoulders, arms, and legs. I like doing new workouts. I was excited that Kelly had the new one up I could do today. Not super tough, but a good quick workout.

Belinda, it is chilly outside here today. Looks like more rain since it is so dark out. Nice that you got your walk in early. Your daughter's instructor sounds like a good one. I read an article by Sharon Twombly about people not knowing how to do burpees right and she said she does not do them in her classes. She is a physical therapist as well as instructor. I have read that about the twisting movements and limit the range and I do not pick up anything heavy for it. I do think with all of the working out I am better off than I would be with RA and having not worked out. It keeps me mobile. I just keep reading and learning ways to workout with the RA. I have a hard time understanding why some grocers have the groceries and some do not. Maybe it is management, stores struggling, or like Walmart that has such a big turn over and longer hours keeping it on the shelves. Although Crest here that is open all night does really well keeping things stocked. Pick up still is lousy though. I prefer to go to Sprouts. There shortages seem to be water and paper goods, but this is only off and on.

Jolie, I would think that you would get plenty of melatonin when you do all of your walks outside in the sun. Next time I get vitamin C I am going to get Peak Performance vitamin C powder that is acerola and not synthetic stuff. I have found their products to be good and the Curcumin has been helping me a lot. I have found not all curcumin supplements work well. I just got my second bottle of the Peak Performance Curcumin today. There is some reason that I cannot try 5htp. Maybe the RA or medicine. I run across it periodically and it is a no for me. It always sounds like it can do good things. My husband teases me about the pillows I am always buying. I just try to find comfort.
I was feeling much better after getting back some of the supplements I thought were not working, but apparently they were. Maybe the problem is more lack of rest and all of the changes around here. I have some Paula's Choice Glycolic acid here and a bottle of C with hyaluronic acid serum, but since I started using retin A I don't use the glycolic acid. There was a particular brand of glycolic acid that I had samples of from my daughter for awhile and I loved that product. It was expensive though and I cannot remember the brand. It was not one I had heard of, I had to look it up online.
My husband's schedule makes it where I don't workout when he is up and around and I clean house late at night. I end up in bed wee hours of the morning and try to sleep in later (sun peeks in and I am awake). By the time I get up, have my coffee and maybe breakfast and a few errands like laundry started it is near noon when I head upstairs to start a workout. I prefer first thing in the morning workouts. Also, I sometimes play around on my piano and keyboard when he is gone. He got me the Keyboard (full size with pedal and everything just like my piano) and headphones so that I can play while he is sleeping. I don't know, I guess I just feel too tired and it takes me forever to get motivated to get up and move to do anything. With the Covid thing I have only seen my grandchildren once. No school to run to or pick up, my daughter is teaching at home and preparing to move. The only things getting me out in mornings is Ladies game day which just started back up doctors appointments. Haven't rescheduled my dentist yet though. I am really a morning person so that is my biggest problem.

So this morning I did Sweat Factor #78 (I like that they are numbered - that makes keeping track of things easier since they are all titled similar) Which was a 60 minute Full Body Hiit - but I didn't do the abs at the end so it was only 48 minutes for me. Lots of variety in this one!! One block of about 6-7 moves, one block of cardio moves, another block of strenght, then abs (where I ended). I wish this subscription wasn't so expensive or I would keep it.

Doreen, that is great that you like Sweat Factor. I think some of these streaming services overcharge for what they have. I try not to pay for more than two at a time. I don't want to give up Kelly's.

Today DH and I went hiking. Than we did our own Upper body workout.

%he cooking class was a lot of fun. Yes, you cook along. It was a simple, very delicious pasta dish. It was so delicious I am making it today again so is DD she told me today, lol. The pasta dish will be a stable in my house. Before the cooking class I cut all the veg in advance. Giada had her daughter Jade cooking with her. Jade is so cute. After the cooking classe Giada had a Q&A. It was very cool. I have seen her a few times in DC. Love going to cooking show's especially if they have cooks from Food network.

Jolie - DH and I usually walk on the gold course early in the morning before you see any golfers. Your lettuce chicken sounds so good.

Diane - it was very hot yesterday and today. Loving warmer weather. I agree, DD's instructor is great. I don't understand why some stores are empty?

That's it for me today.

Saturday was my rest day. Today I woke up feeling great and did and Yvette Bachman workout, Moderate Impact Step/Heavy weights. This workout is 1 minute of cardio followed by weights, ( 8 to 12 reps ) and 30 seconds of core. During the weight portion Yvette does upper body exercises, I did legs because they look horrible lately and I have to start working them again. Even with all of the walking uphill it does not firm my legs. Workout was 1 hour but I added on and extra 15 minutes of leg exercises and I feel great! Total workout time was 75 minutes and I burned 679 calories. Average heart rate was 127 and max was 171.

Doreen, I just preview a new Yvette workout she does outside by her pool and it is step with weights. It looks like something you would like since you are good at step right? Nice workouts lately, you are killing it! Have a great day with your family.

Diane Sue, I need to loose so much fat, especially in my lower body. Since going into Menopause I have gained 15 pounds and I workout harder than I did when I was thinner. Nothing seems to take the weight off! I am so frustrated that it is making me depressed. I want to wear my summer cloths but my thighs are big and I look bad. How do I get rid of the fat? I now look pear shaped and I never did before. My shoulders aren't as muscular as before so now I look my bottom heavy.

Roselyn, check out the new Yvette workout she just posted, it is done outside and it is step and weights. It looks fun and it is less than an hour long.

Belinda, Nice hike yesterday and your cooking class sounds amazing!! How much fun, i hope you drank wine while cooking! :)

Debbie, have a nice rest day.

Happy Sunday.

Today was chest and then I worked my shoulders, I want to get another streaming service I have Cathe, which do you suggest?

I start work tomorrow, I will see how it goes, all I am doing is sanitation, and I did not pay for my education to be doing just that, I realize COVID happened but my boss said my education from her is done for now and I should just watch which I would but 6 feet away!! I am thinking of staying for a while and maybe do hair from my home. I am just doing guest services like before, cleaning, laundry etc
:(

Hi everyone,

I went for a 4.5 mile walk today plus I did a HiiT workout from IG. I am done for today. I am thinking starting L4 tomorrow?

Jolie - of course, I had wine with authentic Italian Pasta dinner :) Do you like wine? I prefer red over white. Great job on your workout yesterday.

Roselyn - let us know how it goes tomorrow. My hair dresser is in Washington DC, which is a hot spot. I will wait a few month before I make an appointment.

Waving Hi to everyone that checks in today.

I spent the day with my husband yesterday so just did a short Fitbit workout that was called Good Morning and was supposed to be a quick get moving workout of several moves done twice with one set of 45 seconds of jumping jacks at the end of each group. It was push ups, plank down dog, side plank moving from side to side with an arm raise, lunge good morning, I am probably missing one or two moves. This was 23 minutes. Today I did Raw Perfect 10 which was similar to yesterday, but much better. It was 24 minutes, but I did half of it as I had to get roast in the oven for family coming over and get ready for church. Hopefully tomorrow I get in a good workout. My granddaughter's husband that is in it got my scale set with wifi and hooked up to Fitbit. Funny thing is I looked at my wifi scale app today and it had a cycling workout for 7 minutes on it and I was wondering where it came from, then remembered I had started to do a cycling workout yesterday with Fitbit app and changed my mind. In fact I can just click on the Withings Health Mate app and if I click on nutrition and the + sign it takes me directly to MFP.

Belinda, I think that the smaller companies are having a harder time holding up. The big stores like Walmart, Costco, Target, Home Depot, etc. are not the ones hurting as they have all of the business and can pull in more. I find it really sad. I hope things build back up quickly. The cooking class sounds like so much fun.

Jolie, I think to lose body fat you have to work on gaining muscle weight and not go to far overboard on cardio which would use your muscle with long sessions for energy. Low fat eating. The hard thing with that for me, is fueling with enough good proteins and eating enough vegetables and fruits to keep my weight on. Most proteins come with cholesterol and some fat even when they are lean. So the heart diet situation is a problem too. I read the labels on protein powder as well because some of them have a bunch of cholesterol in them. Right now I am using Isopure 0 carb that has some vitamins in it and 10 mg cholesterol. Trying to figure out how I can do this without losing weight though is a problem because I am using Nuttzo nut butter or almond butter with the protein powder, making shake mixes, sort of smoothie bowls, and trying to eat one meal with lean protein like chicken or fish. Today was an off day because we did a birthday here again. My husband does great with Low Carb. When he really sticks to it. I need some carbs. I used to workout for 3 hours a day and still had the same issues, so I doubt extra working out is going to do the trick. I am gradually getting my fat down in my diet. Ordered some collagen creamer that says it has no sweetener in it from Peak Performance to try in my morning coffee. I am hoping it is a good sub for some of the others I have tried. I do not like sweet coffee. I think we all find it makes a difference if we switch up workout styles periodically because the results start to wane.

Roselyn, I hope that you don't have to do that clean up too long. I don't blame you for being sad about paying for learning and ending up cleaning. Doing hair at home might be a good thing for awhile if it takes too long to get back to normal.

Good morning,

I did L4 D1 W1 Chest & Triceps 50/50 - 40 min. Had an awesome workout this morning. I will go for a walk later and get a stretch in. Need more stretching.

Diane - Giant (Martin's) isn't a small company. We have the same problem with Walmart in town. I hope that things will build up quickly too.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and workout. I will be back later.

Jolie - I saved that Yvette workout to do later. I need to pull my step outside.

I worked out outside this morning. I started 3 youtube videos before I settled on a Sydney Cummings Glute and cardio that had the feel I wanted. 3 rounds of lower body follwed by a cardio interval. The cardio was not hard (her's never is)

Hope you all had a great weekend, other than the torrential rain we have been having since Friday, I had a good one. There is flooding all over there, we got 3" on Friday and it rained last night quite a bit and it's raining now. We're supposed to get another 3" before tomorrow morning. Our springs suck.

Today I did RAW Weights Circuit #1 and had a really good workout. I like this one, Kelly moves from one exercise to another doing each exercise for 30 seconds. This is how it went:

Dumbbell Flies: 17.5's
Skull Crushers: 10's
Pledges: 15's
Alternate Overhead Press: 12's
Alternate One Arm Row: 25# (I like how she does these)
Double Arm Kickbacks: 8's
Deadlifts: 25# barbell
Plie Squats: 25# barbell (for some reason, these don't hurt my knees)
Dumbbell Flies: 17.5's

Plie Squats: 25# barbell
Dumbbell Press: 17.5's
Tate Press: 10's (I don't like these, they hurt my elbows)
Hammer Curls: 15's
Alternate Overhead Press: 12's

Kickstand Deadlifts: 25# barbell
Plie Squats: 25# barbell
Dumbbell Chest Press: 20's

Barbell Squats: 25#
Chest Press: 20's
Alternate One Arm Row: 25#

Workout was 33 minutes, burned 180 calories and HR was 114/153.

Then I walked on my treadmill for 31 minutes, burned 202 calories, went 1.5 miles and did 3704 steps. HR was 119/134.

Jolie - Did you receive the wedge pillow yet? Did you get one for yourself, too? Hope you like it. Great job with your workout yesterday. I am using the Estee Lauder Foundation, not skin care line. I'm using different serums like Timeless Vitamin C and Timeless CoQ10. I'm pretty much following the advice the Hot & Flashy lady is giving. I am seeing some big differences in my skin already. My eye wrinkles are much less noticable. So glad I found her!!! The Estee Lauder foundation is really nice and my pores look much smaller. Bare Minerals seemed to make my pores look huge.

Diane - I can't even imagine you have an ounce of body fat on you. I wouldn't obsess over that, those fat testers are not that accurate. I like Tarte makeup, too. I should check out their foundation as well. Which one do you use, I see they have a lot of different kinds. Makeup and skin care is so expensive, I will go broke if I keep buying stuff. LOL! The Cardio & Tone workout you did, was there any step involved? It looks fun. Any weights or just body weight toning? I use Nut Pods for my coffee creamer, love them. I use the original flavor which is a mix of almond and coconut milk. No fat, no sugar and low in calories. I order mine from Amazon.

Roselyn - That is wrong, why won't they let you do hair? I say find another place to work, that isn't right. You've done all your schooling and now it's time to work. So ridiculous.

Doreen - Great job with your workouts!

Belinda - So weird how your stores aren't stocked. I don't have a problem at any of the stores I go to. I was even able to buy the Lysol Kitchen spray and toilet paper. I guess we are lucky here. Did you do an STS workout today? What is L4? Great job on your workout!! Your cooking class sounded fun, I want to do that. Does it cost money to do it?

Have a great day everyone!
