PT was over an hour today. A lot is getting pretty easy and he was making note of that. He change angle on one stretch and boy does that one hurt. He gave it a bit longer rests between stretching though. I came home and used my ice wrap and had lunch. Tomorrow I have to be there at 9.
Debbie, yes, I did have the surgery. The surgeon said there was a lot more arthritis in that knee that he expected. It was quite some time of having knee pain and researching before I made the decision to go ahead with it. Two months post-surgery I was getting back into workouts. He told me to cross train. I think that I was sort of doing that anyway. I still think though that if I gave it a lot longer rest it may have healed itself. Even after it hurt some and he gave me an injection. It would off and on hurt and sometimes my knee would give out when getting up out of a chair and sitting. This was after surgery. That finally quit happening though. It is nice when there is time to do a whole stretch video. Kelly does do some good stretches. I was hoping to do some cardio and stretching today, but the changes in PT messed me up. I always need to ice and give my shoulder and arm some time to get past the spasms of the deep stretching. Maybe Saturday? I will be going to PT early tomorrow, and my husband will be off so I will see if I can do something. I would like to do some band work, or Fit Tower for lower body that is standing.
Roxie, enjoy getting your hair done. I need to color mine, but refuse to wash my hair and fix it in the mornings and come back from appointments to do it. Maybe Saturday I can do it. I will check out Leslie Grace. I used to buy MAC singles, but I quit buying their stuff. I did not like things they were supporting. I also used to buy Aromaleigh (sp) products and liked that I could get samples of colors to try at a small cost so I did not waste so much money. They were all loose minerals though and I was forever having lids work there way off and shadow spilled all over the place.
Belinda, that is wonderful that you have a primary that is on top of all your meds and health problems. I read a lot of those NIH reports and studies. It seems to take forever even getting studies started. I am always reading some short studies and what maybe works, and not enough evidence for this or that yet. Some find things that may be promising, but they need to do the studies. There is much to the processes like funding and approval. I hope that you can get into the study.
I will check out the video. I am glad that your knee if feeling somewhat better today.
Doreen, nice work with the 30 minute workout and walking your dog today.
Jolie, that is great that the chiropractor found out was was causing everything. I have been using several supplements, most from Life Extension, for Bone health. I want to heal well and quickly. I read up on calcium and Rheumatoid arthritis, heart, and suggestion is to not take one large dose of the calcium at one time as the body does not know what to do with the excess and that is how it gets deposited in the arteries. I had been worried about taking it. So, I am using the Life Extension Bone Restore which has K2 and taking a tablet several times a day. Also, I add a Pure Encapsulations magnesium glycinate at night. I am also trying to get gut health back after all of the meds, ibuprofen, and unhealthy food. So, I have stuff for that and trying to find the right foods that does not come back up my throat when I cough. I am sort of a mess right not. My blood pressure keeps going up and I am taking blood pressure support supplement. I am so dreading my cardiovascular appointment next Wednesday. I already refused the statin. He was not really happy about that. I tried and my throat swelled up. So nope. My daughter says he will want to give blood thinners and I would not find that as a good idea either. My blood is generally thin from diet and supplements. I am afraid of them. My dad had so much of them that when he had the brain bleed, they could not do surgery because it was too thin, and we lost him.
Too bad natural holistic practitioners and chiros are not covered by insurance.
