Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for January 2019!!

Evening all.

I got my workouts today YAY and I'm sure you too. I thought a rotation/book came with this program. I'm about to watch a few videos tonight, if anyone knows where I can find a rotation let me know. I probably start, know I will start with a good cardio workout tomorrow. Have a great night.

Hello! I did LITE Metabolic this morning. I enjoyed it. It does feel different than ICE metabolic and Fit Split metabolic so I'm happy there.

I think the user manual for the LITE series will be a download later this week.

I'm in Vegas for a conference Tue and Wed so no workouts for me for a couple days.

Diane Sue, I know that car well. My husband works for FORD so that is all we drive, except the kids drive a Jeep and Land Cruiser. I hope you have NO problems and enjoy driving it! I love Fords, I have the Edge Sport and love it.

Today I did Kelly's Meltdown Boxing workout again, I really love this workout. I wanted to try Rapid Fire but I'm afraid it is still too much cardio for my hamstring right now. I did do all of the cardio blasts in Meltdown and my hamstring feels a bit tight right now. I hope that it is just because of the fact that it's been a while since I've jumped on it. Had a great workout. I can't wait until I can do Kelly's RAW Boxing and Step workout she just posted not too long ago.

Workout was 30 minutes, burned 251 calories and did 2937 steps. HR was 137/170.

Then I walked on my treadmill for 1 miles and burned another 116 calories. Went 2548 steps with this one.

Diane - There are not other workouts on BB like Body Beast, which is weird. There are many lifting series out there but they are mostly bootcamp type workouts. The guy that does P90X has some military basic training thing out there and it looks more like a cardio series than lifting. Not interested. I now wish I would have kept the preorder for LITE. Sort of bummed I cancelled it. But I will probably buy the ones I want sooner or later after I hear reviews. Was Cardio Crush low impact? I know sometimes Cathe claims her workouts are low impact and they aren't. LOL! Great job with your workouts, I don't know how you can work out so long. You go!!

Roxie - Nice job with your workout yesterday and nice weight selection. On your food intake, you seriously need to eat more throughout the day. You cannot lose weight with only eating once a day. I thought I laid out a plan for you a while ago? I know I typed out when you should be eating during the day. You need to make time in the morning to have a quick breakfast - oatmeal, eggs, maybe an almond butter and jelly sandwich - anything to get your metabolism to start working. You need to each lunch, a good nutritious lunch like homemade soup and a sandwich, a salad with chicken breast on it, etc. You need to eat a snack mid afternoon - a protein bar (Atkins preferably because it is low in sugar), fruit, yogurt. And then you need to eat a sensible dinner. I even eat something at 7 p.m. if I still have calories available to me. This takes planning - I usually dedicate half of my Sunday in preparing all these things for myself for the week. I just grab and go when I leave my house in the morning. I am lucky that I can eat in my office but if you plan right, you should be able to nibble on something during the day no matter where or what you are doing. And if you aren't getting a lunch at work, you should be asking TPTB why. I'm hoping with your new job you will be able to eat at lunch. Roxie, you have to understand that you cannot lose weight eating once a day. Like Jolie said, your body is going into starvation mode so it is holding everything it can. You have to have structure in your eating if you are serious about losing weight.

Belinda - LOL on you playing your own music instead of listening to Joel again. That's a good idea!!! I really wish I could have done the leg workouts. I might actually use those if I decide to do the RIPT series again.

Jolie - Nice job on your workout, that looked brutal!! I'm glad you are feeling better! My next vehicle is going to be the Ford EchoSport. Have you heard anything about these SUVs??

DOZ - That is disheartening that no booklet comes with the new workouts. Maybe it is posted somewhere for download? Nice job keeping up with your workouts.

Doreen - Great job with your new workout and have fun at your conference.

Have great workouts everyone!!!

Diane Sue - fantastic job yesterday as well. I can't wait your review on the new workouts.

I was going to workout today, a walk outside but it is raining again! I am sore from yesterdays workout so I thought today will be my rest day for the week. Yesterday's workout was awesome, and I am feeling it today!

Debbie, Yes I know that sports utility from Ford. It is very popular here because people commute really far for work and it gets great gas mileage. Great job on the workout today and getting the extra mile walk in too. You have to try one Cathe Live workout and tell me what you think. They are hard if you pick the right weight and you get a killer calorie burn. You can preview them on YouTube, Cathe Live Workouts and a ton will pop up, about 4 minutes showing what the whole workout looks like. That is how I have been picking my workouts by previewing them first.

Belinda, nice workout today. What workout series are you doing next?

Roxie, I hope you have a good day at work! I start my day with a half of peice of toast with smashed avacado on the top with Trader Joes Everything Begal seasoning on the top! Yum! Then for lunch I either do a green drink and or homemade soup. Dinner is usually pretty light like an apple and a salad because I dont sleep good after eating. I also grill Chicken and snack on that with hummus during the day and some sliced cucumbers. Hope that helps.

I will be back later to read the other posts later.

Roselyn, have a nice day at school :)

Happy Tuesday.

Today I had brunch and game day with friends early and got in Cathe's Lite Cardio Party, 39 minutes, 256 calories, met 5.8, 3,823 steps, heart rate average 132, max 149. I then did Coffey Fit Raw Core Moves, 24 minutes, met 3.0, 79 calories, 240 steps, heart rate average 92, max 118. Total time was 63 minutes, calories burned 325, 4,063 steps. Now I need to clean house and find a present for my grandson as the birthday party is multiple family members this weekend. Also need to figure out more menu items and hit a store, but not today.

Doz, I looked for the user guide for lite and they said it would be put up once they get the On Demand set up for Lite. So, we have to wait. That is why I took the time to write down the moves for Pyramids yesterday. I will do the same when I do the Lower body portion as well. Unless I get a surprise and they get it up sooner. As usual you have to download the user guide and work sheets yourself.

Doreen, I hope you enjoy some free time in Las Vegas. I went out there with my daughter a few years ago when she had some medical conferences out there. I spent a lot of time just wandering around the hotel casino during the day. We went out at night.

Roxie, I am not very good at breakfast. I have my Lion's Mane coffee packet with cream in the morning and workout and shower. Sometimes after the workout I will eat an RX bar or Bulletproof collagen bar if I have somewhere to run to or am really hungry and later have lunch. Lunch may be mid afternoon which makes it easier to eat a lighter dinner. RX bars do have a lot of carbs(dates and nuts along with fat and protein) Bullet Proof is geared more for a Keto type nutrition plan that is high fat with the MCT oil.

Debbie, the Cardio Party workout is Low Impact. It has several rounds of boxing with what she called some high low which was more along the lines of low. The only workout there that is impact is the Bonus cardio crush step workout which you would probably not want to do. There is a user guide to print up, it is just not posted to download yet. I am looking forward to Kelly's new Raw Heavy bag workout that I think will be up this weekend sometime. The other one that is boxing and drills is fun. I hope that you get your Train Like A Contender (TLC) soon. I know which workout you mean that Tony Horton put out. I was not interested in it either. It looked more like Hiit Bootcamp or something and was shorter workouts? There is an overwhelming amount of bootcamp, and circuit type workouts out there. I do not mind weight circuits if they stay mostly strength. If I am needing to get both in quickly cardio weight circuits are nice, or an extra weight workout to make doing everything two times in a week a circuit is nice. I am mixed on the metabolic workouts as I do not care so much for the discomfort of doing upper and lower at the same time. I hate squat presses!! But, then I purchase them and do them at times. There are some that I do not get out often because they throw in way to much shoulder work along with lower instead of other things. I would be annoyed that I paid for Beach Body and there is not enough variety to choose from. It does not sound inviting.

Belinda, nice work on Lift again ;)

Jolie, we have owned mostly Fords all of our lives and have had good luck with them. I could go through a hole list of them. Every once in awhile we have veered off for some car deal. Like my Chevy Spark which I had the problems with till they finally changed out the security module, which I kept telling them I had read about online as it seemed to be a problem with that car. It was under warranty and they kept trying to say it was because we had an after market GPS radio system installed. It worked fine for several months before the problem hit. No more problems though, but quite frustrating when I would get in the car and it would not start. No lights on the dash or anything. My last vehicle for myself was a Ford Escape. I really liked that one. I really kind of hated selling it. I had a custom made 3rd row seat made for it and installed with matching upholstery when I carted my grandchildren to and from school. I am a little sore today, but it is in my lower body and I think from the jumping and step yesterday along with Kelly's Raw legs and glutes finisher.

Good Evening,

So no workout I couldn’t get up this morning. Breakfast was Greek yogurt and granola morning snack Colby cheese stick and sausage stick lunch beef stew and supper was chili and cinnamon rolls at DD’s house. My new workouts showed up today.

Today I just walked on my treadmill but was able to do it on an incline and my normal pace, so happy about that. I think I'm going to try and run next week, just start slow with maybe one challenge from a Cardio Coach workout. Looking forward to it. It's been way too long, my body probably forgot how to run.

Workout today was 40 minutes, burned 213 calories, went 1.96 miles and did 4737 steps. HR was 73/89 so way low.

I also did about 15 minutes of Yoga Stretch.

Belinda - No, I haven't cancelled BB yet, not sure I will. I may go back and do LIIFT4 before the 6 months is over so I may as well just keep it for the 6 months I paid for. Nice job with your workout yesterday!

Jolie - Thanks about the info on the EchoSport. I love it and can't wait to get it. I still have 2 years to pay on my Trax, though, so will keep it until its almost paid off. I will check out Cathe live one of these days, for some reason just not too excited to do those yet.

Diane - Hope you had fun with your game day friends and nice job on your workout. I can't wait to see Kelly's heavy bag workout, I'll be doing that one for sure. Thanks for the breakdown of those LITE workouts, I will keep it in mind. Cardio Party sounds fun, how is the music in these?

Roxie - Good job eating during the day, however, cinnamon rolls are a no no on a diet. :) But that is great that you are honest about posting that you ate one. Nothing wrong with that once in a while but don't make it a habit. Try to eliminate as much junk food as possible and eating lots of natural foods. You are doing great!! When do you start your new job?

Have great workouts everyone!! It's hump day!!

THis morning I started with Coffey Fit Raw Boxing and Drills, 29 minutes, heart rate average 134, max 170, 2,340 steps, met 5.8, 187 calories. I then did Lite Pyramid Lower Body Time saver from the Pyramid dvd, 233 calories, 48 minutes(45 actual) met 4.7, heart rate 112 average, 141 max, 1,263 steps. I finished with Lite extended stretch #1, 13 minutes, 36 calories, met 2.5. Total time was 90 minutes, calories burned 456 calories, 3,603 steps. I really was feeling this lower body workout in the hips today. That is why I added the extra stretch.

Pyramid Lower Body 5 sets each exercise 12,10,8,10,12 reps I went heavier than what they used.
Rear slide lunges 10,12,15,12,10# dbs
Step Ups 10,12,15,12,10# dbs
side slide lunges 12,15,20,15,12 # DB
elevated lunges 10,12,15,12,10# dbs
sliding cross back lunges 10,12,15,12,10# dbs
deadlift 10,12,15,12,10 # dbs
calf raises 12 # dbs 30 reps, 15# dbs 25 reps, 20# dbs, 20 reps, 15# dbs 15reps, 12# dbs 30 reps

Debbie, Kelly said she is filming two other workouts, one being a pyramid workout. I think she said she would film them this week or weekend. I would have to go back and look at face book. The music is okay on these. On the two I have, nothing that stands out though.

Roxie, that is great that you ate breakfast and had your meals. You might want to watch the sugar intake though. The cinnamon roll and granola would add up to quite a lot. Plain yogurt is probably the best option as well. I buy plain and put some vanilla protein powder in it and then it is flavored and somewhat sweet.

Today I had a kickbutt workout even though my ribs are still sore. I think I need to go get them adjusted at the chiropractor but I am too cheap to spend the money LOL! I started with Cathe Live Strong Upper Body minus the Core and did PHA workout 2 rounds and changed some of the exercise a bit just to suit what my body needs. The first workout I burned 431 calories and the second workout which included the warm up as 232. Total calorie burn was 663! I was dripping by the end and feel great! I could go heavier with some weights but I cant because it causes pain in my side and core.

Each Giant Set is 3 times around and NO REST between sets!

Wide Grip Pull Downs- 50# x 12
Narrow Grip Pull Downs- 60# x 12

Cross Body Lying ext.f- 10# x 12
Kickbacks- 8's x 12

Traditional Curls- 15's x 12
W Curls- 12's x 12

Wow!!!! I am proud of myself. I am starting to get so much leaner looking from these workouts. 155.8 pounds weigh in today. Havent lost anything this week but I am eating healthier. A lot of grilled lemon garlic chicken with steamed veggies and hummus. I gave up coffee and having a Juice drink every moring with Spinach, parsely, apples, celery, lemon and ginger. My mental clarity is so much better!

Debbie, I am so excited for you to start running again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good job on the walk with the incline today. I get it with Cathe, we did her workouts for sooooooooo long that we all kind of got burned out. I do them because it is inexpensive and there is such a wide variety. Oh, and I am seeing results too! I cant wait to see what your next rotation will be :) Did you get the heavy bag that hangs or is on a floor stand?

Roxie good job on the workout and eating breakfast! Baby steps girl!!!

Diane Sue, that looks like a fun workout. I saw the heavy bag trailor on her instagram last night. I however do not have a heavy bag! I would love to get one.

Rain here again today!!! Unbelievable.

Have a nice day.

Roxie, I really did feel today's workouts. That Pyramid Bonus workout has lots of premix options. The only thing extra added is six pack abs #1. But, there are versions of just up, just down, 1 set of all, lower minus the gliding disc moves. I kind of like it. Upper felt rather much like most workouts, but I can up the weights. Maybe even doing the scrambled mix. There is a lower scrambled that does most of the non gliding work, then does the gliding work and I think finishing off with the deadlifts and calves. Nice work today.

Jolie, you are doing great. It seems you are getting your energy back again.

This morning I did JS 2 mile Power walk. I also did SBF Butt Lift.

Debbie - glad you didn't canceled. I just love L4. I feel worked out without overdoing it. Great job on your TM workout today. I miss Cardio Coach :( Glad you feeling better.

Jolie - fantastic job on your results and getting your energy back. I have to have my coffee in the morning. I already reduced from 2 cups to 1 cup. Your green juice sounds so yummy. Love green juice. Impressive weights.

Diane Sue - is Cathe using different and new moves? Or is she modifying them down? Thanks for the info! Great job Coffey Fit Raw Boxing and Drills.

Roxie - you doing great with L4. Eat girl! I have to eat in the morning or I have zero energy.

Belinda, I only have the two workouts and I have not found anything really new. Just put together a bit differently. Cathe still makes them rather fun. She does go much lighter on the weights. Like on Pyramids anywhere from 5# to 15# max. Most were 8,10,and 12#. I went heavier and that is the advantage if something is too easy. I like Abs #1 I did not realize that there is two ab workouts and two different extended stretches in this series.

Roselyn, I don't blame you on Les Mills. I did like the step workouts and the Combat. I think it would not have taken too long for it to get too repetitive for me. Not much room for change?? I don't know. They can be a challenge though. Music is good.
