This morning I did Coffey Fit Raw Compound Moves, 40 minutes ( 31 minutes actual) , heart rate average 107, max 146, 250 calories. I then did Cathe Live Compound Giant Sets Light weights live, 47 minutes (44 actual) 271 calories, heart rate average 122, max 150. Total time was 87 minutes, 521 calories. I liked both workouts. Something in my settings or apps made My Fitness Pal automatically adjust my calories on Fit Bit. GenerallyI compare and adjust where needed. So, these are what MFP put up. Heart rates are correct. This week is going to be crazy. My son is finally starting counceling!!!! Also, he has a meeting with testing for his new on line high shool and then starts school on Thursday. Things are starting to get a little more positive around here. At least he wants to get some help with his issues now!!!!! Thank you Lord Jesus. Also, we have decided to move more south, closer to my husbands work and where my boys want to live. We went and looked at San Clemente and if we can afford it that will be the spot we land. Otherwise San Jaun Capostrano where the boys have gone to school the last four years. We will be so close to the beach for walking along the ocean!! Im excited but moving is a huge undertaking.

Debbie, nice STS workout today! They are so long that I ususally do Chest/Triceps, Back/ Biceps, Shoulders, then legs with my cardio days. I dont typically do the leg segment in full because my knees start to hurt. I incorporate some legs with cardio days and give up a total leg day. This way I can still walk on the treadmill if I like everyday. Awesome calorie burn by the way!!! Thank you for suggesting the 5-HTP, it works so good! I have taken two capsules before bed the last two nights and have slept for 10 hours!!!!! I feel so good now when I wake up. I am going to have my son take this product asap!!!!

DOZ, great workout today!!!! Way to go on getting that long walk in too!!! I love to walk.

Diane Sue and Roselyn, I will be back later to read your posts.

Happy Monday

Jolie, nice workout. Living close to the beach would be nice for your walks. I am glad things are starting to come around for helping your son. I was reading on the Arthritis Foundation website and they recommend I not take 5-htp. Something about it raising serotonin levels and with some other medications can raise the levels to so much it could even be fatal. Also should avoid if you use migraine type meds like imitrex. I have a whole list of different types of arthritis on my paperwork now including gout. I am trying to get a handle of foods and supplements to avoid. Lots of researching. With gout they say to avoid spinach among some things. The thing is, I eat pretty much how these things say to eat. No gluten, avoiding grains, sugar, salt. I am not sure where else I can go with it. I ordered Cats Claw which I read about on the Arthritis foundation site for natural arthritis help. They suggested it be a certain type with no tetracyclic alkaloids. Of course this was more expensive than most of the cats claw supplements. I checked to see if it could be used with the hdroxychloraquine. I t appears I can use it. I am hoping to get rid of the prescription.
I have been really enjoying the Coffey Fit Raw workouts. I don't have a dread when I put them in.

Today I did Cardio Coach 3 and had a great workout. I like this one, always my go to if I want to do a 40 minute run. I also did about 15 minutes of Yoga Stretch by Karen Voight. I'm really trying to do yoga daily and if not daily at least every other day. Last night I did an 18 minute Yoga for Runners workout that I seen on Youtube. It was pretty good but I should have found one that was a half hour. I needed more yoga. Finding the time is the hardest to do, of course. By the time I get done with dinner and clean-up, it's about 7 p.m. I don't really want to worry about stretching and yoga this time of the day since I just want to wind down and sit for a while.

Workout was 40 minutes, ran 2.87 miles, burned 371 calories and went 5764 steps. HR was 151/183.

I looked at the last time I did this workout and my stats are almost identical. Even step count, I had 5765 last time I did this workout. LOL!!!

Diane Sue - Nice workout yesterday, that was a long one!! I bet you are sore.

Jolie - Yikes, moving!! My husband and I want to move on the lake and I cringe when I think about packing up the house we've lived in for 22 years. So much junk, OMG. I wish you luck in finding some place soon! Sounds like a good idea!!

Enjoy your day everyone, and have great workouts!!!

Today I have so many things that I need to get done before I leave to pick up grandchildren from school at 2. It took so long yesterday. I need to hit Sprouts as I forgot a couple of things yesterday. I hate when I do that!
I did Cathe Live Advanced Step Choreography again, 50 minutes, 320 calories, heart rate 148 average, 174 max, 4,315 steps. For me this one is pretty easy to follow since I have been doing Cathe Step for years. I like that she gets off the step part of the time. I did go a little less impact for the power moves to be careful. I did not have a problem with it last time though. I am going to have to get some stretching in tomorrow when I don't have to go out. I can tell it has be a few days.

Debbie, the last two times we moved we purged a lot of stuff. We finally have an empty attic. Over the years we move that attic stuff from one attic to the other. Obviously we are not using it. Cleared containers and stuff inside and out. We still have too much stuff and are trying to keep collecting down. When we are gone out children don't want to have to deal with all of that. I think getting in the stretching is so important. Yesterday I had sat in the car so much waiting on the children, that when I got out to put gas in my car my one knee was trembling and hurt when I stood. Once I move it around I am good. It is generally on the back of my knee where it hurts. I often find when I go to my fitness pal that my workouts are pretty much the same in calories and my recorded steps in my agenda book are pretty much the same.

Today is going to be one of my rest days, super busy and it is hot and humid so it is a good day to take off. Lots of errands and family things to do so that's the way it goes! MY son starts counseling today so I am excited to see how that goes. Thursday we meet with a doctor at Kaiser to see if he can get some sort of anxiety med for emergency situations. I don't want him to suffer if he can just calm himself down with a med. It is rare that this happens but it cripples him. He really needs to get some confidence back and I think things will all fall into place for him.

Diane Sue, since taking the 5 HTP I have the worst upset stomach. It is very calming for bedtime but jees I cant take the stomach issue. Maybe higher doses of B vitamins and calcium would do the trick? I like Valerian but that bothers my stomach as well. Herbs can be tough on the system.

Debbie, good job on the Cardio Coach today. We slept with the air conditioner off for the first time and it was too hot for a good nights sleep. I woke up so many times hot and uncomfortable that I am too tired for a workout today. The thought of packing up my house after 15 years scares the crap out of me!!! So much work... good job on the yoga today too!

Have a nice day.

Jolie, you might check out ashwagandha ? It is supposed to do multiple things. It seems to help me not feel as anxious over things. It is supposed to help stress, some say adhd, some say it helps sleep better, arthritis and inflammation, and there are lots of other things. Anyway, it is in my Ancient Nutrition Bone Broth Burst pre-workout drink and I take an extra capsule late afternoon. I can't use valerian either. It does not make me feel well. I bought some tulsi sleep tea once and it sits in the cupboard because I didn't realize that it had chamomile in it and if a person has ragweed allergies they should not use it. Tulsi (or Holy basil) is supposed to help with stress, anxiety and adrenal fatigue, balancing hormones. It can be purchased buy itself. As far as vitamins I take a Super B complex daily, D, and Rainbow light magnesium +calcium supplement. It has a high dose of magnesium in it. Those are helpful. The herbals and adaptogen supplements are trial and error and finding the dose that works. I try not to be too dependent on them because they are much like meds and can be over used. I am stopping all supplements the rest of the week since I have the colonoscopy coming up Monday. Many can cause thin blood.

Evening All,

My workout, did Kick Punch & Crunch; Legs &GlutePremix. Honestly, when I got out of bed, didn’t feel like doing anything, once I had my coffee cleaned up a bit. I said to myself, get is done lol I ended up blowing all my hard work; went to my sis house and threw down on these chocolate cupcakes so rich and thick; then she made us some buttery popcorn, ekk. I dare not put anything else in my mouth lol.
I hate it when I go off, like that. Well guys until tomorrow. Have a wonderful evening

Nice workouts!

Today I did STS Meso 2, Legs and had an ok workout. My right knee was really bothering me today so I had to stop early. Very frustrated as they have not been bothering me lately. Not sure what happened?

Wide Stance Squats: 20's/10 reps
One Leg-Elevated Lunges (BSS): 15's/10 reps

Only did 2 sets though with this one, had to stop on the third set. Also skipped the calf raises

Workout was 40 minutes, burned 224 calories, HR was 113/143

Jumped on my treadmill for 1 mile, burned another 127 calories, went 2430 steps and HR was 107/126.

I am loving that cookbook I purchased - Run Fast, Cook Fast, Eat Slow. The recipes are awesome, easy and have wonderful taste!!! I love the Mug Cake recipe, great snack at night. Calories a bit high but I am making it work. I love this book!!

Diane Sue - You must be enjoying Cathe's live workouts, great workout yesterday!! Yes, that would be the only reason I'd enjoy moving is to purge all the crap. But just the thought of it throws me into a tizzy. LOL!!!

Jolie - Why did you shut your A/C off when it's so hot out? We've had ours running pretty much non-stop since the middle of July. It has been very humid and hot here. Today it's much cooler and less humid but it won't last!!! I'm sorry the 5-HTP is giving you stomach issues. That stuff never bothered my stomach, are you sure that is what it is?? I really don't think there is anything in it that should irritate the stomach.

DOZ - Excellent workout! Wow girl!! Smokin'!!! Don't fret going off every now and again, we all do it. Heck, I do it every weekend! It's a wonder I'm staying steady at my goal weight.

Roselyn - Hope all is well!

Today I did Chest and Legs. 4 Chest exercises and 2 Leg exercises. I did 3 sets each and 10 reps with a 1 minute rest between sets. Workout was 37 minutes and I burned 225 Calories. Next I walked 1 mile on my TM and burned 141 calories, incline 6.0.

Debbie, I didn't sleep with our air on because I am so scared of the electricity bill! We have two units and can you imagine!!! My husband said to keep in on last night so I slept great. It is supposed to start cooling down after today so maybe we can start having the windows open. I looked at the side effects of the 5-HTP and upset stomach is one of them. I am still going to take it , just one capsule instead of the two like it suggests. Nice job on the leg workout today. Those hurt my knees doing that many exercises in one day that is why I have been doing one or two leg exercises a day instead and I am having very few issues with my knees. I will check out that cookbook!

Diane Sue, I use Ashwanda for my Adrenal issue so I can give that to my son as well. I will check back in to read your post for the day. I find that some herbs can be hard on your system and have side effects.

DOZ, good job with your workout yesterday! Nothing wrong with a cheat meal every once in a while, I do it too!

Roselyn, I hope all is well.

Have a nice day.

Today I wanted to try a couple of Cathe Live newer workouts that are not up on the Roku channel, so I drug my laptop upstairs. It dropped out every once in awhile and at the end it just quit playing. I made adjustments on my calories and stuff because Fit Bit was trying to use Map My Fitness for my stats. That can work out okay if it is a cardio workout. Also I don't get the name of the workout in my fitness pal that way. It just says aerobic on it. Funny, after my recent resetting to manufacturer settings on my Samsung Tablet a lot of stuff works differently. I never had my Fit Bit and MFP pick up from MMF before. It was giving me 348 calories for the Super Sets workout. Using weights settings.

Debbie, I am sorry your knees. I think sometimes it is not necessarily the workouts that cause the inflammation and hurting. Ice usually helps mine.

Jolie, we have the smart hours settings on our thermostat so I temp setting goes up in the peak hours where the cost is higher and it goes back down in the evening and my cost is lower. We have an upstairs and downstairs unit. My July bill was 136 dollars and August 151. Way better than we used to have. I am sure your costs are very high out there as cost of living is through the roof there. YEs, some of those herbal preparations can cause liver and kidney damage with long term use. I research well before I use something. I also take breaks from stuff that I take on a longer term basis. Even my bone broth protein and collagen.

gee the week got away from I have been doing the fit split series today was the low impact/metabolic
yesterday was pull day monday was push and i did the cardio sections after lifting, tomorrow will be the bootcamp/legs

great worlouts everone

If any of you use myfitnesspal to figure out nutritional information for a recipe, how would you figure out calories for chicken that is marinated? I made a marinade with balsamic vinegar and honey but ended up throwing most of it away when I took the chicken out. So how would you key in the ingredients to figure out the values? Confused...

Debbie, on something like the marinade I would break it down and just figure the marinade ingredients and use something like a Tablespoon as my serving size that is probably absorbed and on the chicken. Then do the chicken separate. I hate having to figure recipes like that. Particularly if I think I may not make the recipe ever again.
