Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Februar 2025

Evening,

No workout today. Too cold to walk outside. I am so sick of this weather lately.

Diane - thank you. I am so sorry your coughing like crazy. I hope the CT scan will help to find what is going on. Are you on any meds? Our HOA is very strict with RV’s/ cars in the driveways. Most people own their homes here. I notices some are renting. That is good your husband is working with the HOA. LOL, we have some ridiculous rules here too. Great job on Raw Lift.

I will be back tomorrow.

Today I was going to do lower body, but my knee has been hurting off and on. It was hurting sitting at my granddaughter's house. No swelling or anything. I forgot that I tripped on the doorsill from the garage into my son's house and landed on that knee. My dog was dragging me into the house and I was not watching where I was going I guess. I decided not to push it today so just did Raw Kickbox#5, 257 calories, 39 minutes, heart rate 138/168, 2,107 steps. I finished with Raw Yoga Stretch, 14 minutes, 34 calories. I only did a little of Raw Lift and changed to Perfect Pump Upper Body yesterday.

Belinda, it is cold here too. Hopefully Tuesday weather does not get too bad till after the Valentines get together, I am hosting. So far it looks like the freezing rain and snow will start later in the day.

Afternoon,

Today I did JS TB. I started her Best Year Yet, month 4. I will have to swap out some of her cardio. They are too high impact. I also had to modify a few moves. I can’t lift anything heavier than 10 pounds. I used 2 5 pounds. The workout was slow paced. I didn’t go down on the floor, I used my bench instead.

Diane - it’s still very cold here too. Sorry about your knees. Glad you taking a break.Yikes on the fall. I hope with resting up and feel better soon. Have fun hosting the Valentines get together. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Have a great evening.

I did not check in the past few days because I just walked the pup but I walked a lot of miles!

Friday- 3.5 miles in the am and 2 miles in the pm

Saturday- 3.2 miles in the am and 2.4 miles in the pm

Sunday- 5 miles in the am only, wanted to watch the Super Bowl and drink a glass of wine. My legs are dead!

Monday- CL #465 Strong and Fit All Upper Body and had a great workout. I used lite weights because I have not lifted much in the past two weeks. Now I am off to walk the pup 2 miles and then 2 miles this afternoon. I have had to up my food intake, all this walking has made me pretty thin and lean. My legs are looking good, now I have to keep it up, so they look good in shorts this summer! We have some rain coming for a few days this week so hopefully I can get in some weight work since I will not be walking the pup as much.

Debbie, you are killing the workouts lately! Cable tv is so expensive. I use Youtube tv and get Fox News and Newsmax and my Tennis Channel app and so much more. This is not fair that seniors have to pay that much money, they should get a discount. Was your dad in the service? Maybe she can get a veterans discount?

Belinda, boy you cannot catch a break with your health lately! Stay warm and I hope you recover quickly.

Diane Sue, I am sorry to hear about your knees, take it easy!

I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Belinda, good choice for your cardio while doing the JS workouts.

Roselyn, nice work on getting on glute focus today.

Jolie, you sure have put in a lot of miles walking. Nice job on Strong and Fit All Upper Body. My knee was feeling good this morning and yesterday and it seemed fine with the weight workout today. There is a lot of arthritis in that knee and I have had a couple of surgeries on it so it does not take much to get it hurting.

Debbie, great job on Raw Strength #2 Cardio Acceleration today. Have you done the newest waistline workout? I keep looking at it, but with limited time lately I try hard to at least get in a cardio or weight workout.

This morning I did RAW Standing Waistline & Abs and liked it. It was a lot of twisting, though, and afterwards my low back was feeling it. I'll see how I feel tomorrow. I did like the workout, though. I also added RAW Shadow Boxing #2 skipping the warmup. This also added to the twisting work of the waist. Really felt it, my abs were burning by the end.

Total workout was 50 minutes, burned 380 calories, did 1731 steps and HR was 133/173.

Jolie - Great workouts!! I need to lower my food intake!! All this ab work and boxing I've been doing you would think I had a six pack. Yeah, no. I've been eating way too much. Great job needing to add in more calories, that is always a good thing to get to do! LOL!

Roselyn - Great job with your glute work.

Belinda - How are you feeling?

Diane - Nice workout!! Is today your ladies day? Hope you have fun!! I just did that waistline workout today. Be careful with it if you do it, the ribs come into play a lot with all the twisting in it.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi,

Today I did JS Push/Pull Supersets.

Diane - great job with your lower body workout yesterday.

Debbie - great workout yesterday. I am getting floaters/flashes. I talked to my surgeon, I am seeing him on Friday to check out my eye. Hopefully it’s nothing.

Have a great evening.

Belinda - I hope your eyes are ok. I have to do that surgery soon and it scares me. I hope all is normal with your eyes. I see floaters and have flashes all the time, I'm just counting the minutes when my retina tears. That should be fun.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi,

Today I did another Belly Dance. The workouts are very low impact.

Debbie - thank you! Oh no….how long have you been dealing with retina? You don’t want to wait too long before it tears. Looking at YT videos about cataract surgery helped me a lot. I wasn’t scared when I was in surgery. I was awake the entire time.

Roselyn - great job on your rebounder workout.

Diane - how are you doing?

Good night.

This morning I did STS 2.0 Upper Body 2. I had a good workout but this is a long one. I had to skip some exercises due to time. I really don't like hour long workouts anymore.

Tuesday, I did a 4 mile walk with the pup. Wednesday was my well-deserved rest day, my legs are so tired and sore. Today I tried one of my new dvds from Cathe, I did Lite Strong Body Stacked Sets Upper Body and I liked it, but it was too fast of a pace, so I paused a lot. Now that I have it written down, I can go at my own pace and pause when needed. I changed it up a bit, no pushups or dips and I did a few more reps than Cathe because I did not have my weights just right on the first time doing it. The next one I am going to do is Lite series Pyramid Pump Upper Body. There is a ball for the bench, but I will use just the bench since my low back does not do well with the ball. We had rain all day yesterday and all day today, we should get a couple inches they are saying. This is not good for the burn areas, flash flood warnings on my phone all day and night.

Great job with the workouts everyone! We are all doing so well this year, my hope is to be more consistent with my weight workouts this year. However, this walking has done my body good I must say. I have never been this lean except when I was younger.

Have a great day.

I thought that I posted yesterday. I guess not as I do not see it. I did not have much time and did CDorner Power Step 25 minutes, 176 calories, heart rate 142/165. I finished with CDorner Stretch after step 17 minutes, 49 calories. Total time 42 minutes, 225 calories.
Today I did CDorner Arms and Obliques 40 minutes, 158 calories, heart rate 96/130. This was not just arms and abs. I may be feeling this one. Once I saw a pattern of how the workout was going I went for a lower weight than Chris. Sometimes she decided she picked up too much and dropped herself. I followed with STS 2 Total Body Stretch, 23 minutes, 41 calories. Total time 73 minutes, 199 calories.

Arms and Obliques Oldies music
warm up
forearm plank reach (option)
one knee kneeling side lean other leg extended to the side lean adding intensity to moves and an iso hold side 30 sec each

Rows pulsing 3 ways 1 minute 15# dbs rnd 1; 12# dbs rnd 2
chest press 4/4 count 1 minute 12# dbs both rnds
pullover 10# dbs both rnds
chest fly/close press 10# dbs both rnds

side lying legs up reach 60 sec each

curl/press/kickbacks kneeling 90 sec. 8# dbs
biceps curl/turn/hammer 12# dbs 60 sec
front/side raise 5# dbs 60 sec
skull crusher alternating 8# dbs
side leaning lateral raise 5 dropped to 3#
W Curls 10# dbs
repeat for rnd 2 kept the same weights
stretch

Debbie, I chose to skip the waistline workout just did not want to set something off. Although today I kind of pushed my limits, but did use some of the suggested subs on the obliques. Nice work on STS 2 Upper Body 2 today. It seems I am short on time a lot lately. I looked at STS 2 this morning for upper and really did not have time for an hour workout. Yes, Tuesday was my day with the ladies group celebrating valentine's day. It went well and we had a great time.

Belinda, nice work on the Belly Dance yesterday and today's Jessica Smith Total Body Strong + Sculpted. I hope things are okay with your eye.

Jolie, good job on the walk Tuesday and today's Lite Strong Body Stacked Sets Upper Body. I pulled that one out this morning and set up my bench, but when I looked at my worksheet notes I put a reminder about some of the moves and the push ups and jump push ups. I changed my mind. I always use the ball with the Lite Pyramid Pump upper body. It is a good workout. It seems like I am not drawn to stacked sets all that much.

This morning I did RAW Kickboxing #6 and had a great workout. this one is fun. Apparently I did it once before but I don't remember it one bit. I enjoyed it. I also walked on my treadmill for .78 miles.

Workout was 46 minutes, burned 333 calories, did 5027 steps and HR was 130/180.

Jolie - Nice job with your workouts. I hate fast paced workouts. That is why I love the STS 2 workouts so much. No rushing around.

Belinda - Great workout yesterday!

Diane - Definitely don't do that waistline workout, I am still feeling it. It set off my low back, too, but that feels better now. Great job with your workouts!!

Have a great Valentine's Day and weekend. I'm off on Monday so yay!!!

Evening,

I saw the doctor today, my eyes are fine. No retinal detachment. He ran a lot of test, images to make sure everything was fine. He dilated my eyes. He said I the tear film is breaking up which causes the floaters/black spots I am having. Which he said is normal. I have a lot of build up from dry eyes/and all the eye drops I am taking daily since I had surgery. You have to take a few different drops a few times a day to prevent inflammation in your eyes. Good news, I have 20/20 in my left eye. My right eye improved to 20/40 to 20/25. It’s improving! My right eye was always my worst eye. I was pretty blind in that eye. It’s still weird not wearing glasses. No workout for me today.

Diane - great job on the power step and stretch.Turns out, I have a natural film breaking up. Which is normal. I do see the doctor again next week to make sure my eyes are ok.

Debbie - great job today.

Did you all get an email from Cathe with a free download? I though it was very nice of her.

Good night.
