Hardcore Fitness Maniacs December 2024

Good Evening,

No workout today I got fitted for the new conta which gave me a headache then I got mt shingles shot and did some Christmas shopping.

Debbie- I have Keratoconus which is stable right now but if it gets worse I will have to see a cornea specialist. She said my cornea is like a golf course where the greens are higher than everything and the gray area is the lowest.

Debbie yes they saw heartbeat and the 17th they will get to hear she is feeling sick which I am sorry for but that means baby is doing his or her job

Today I did a kelly coffey kickboxing on youtube

Yesterday was a day off. I got together with my lady's group for games and a Christmas gift exchange and had a really nice time. This morning, I did Lift, Move Restore Timesaver #1 warm up and Low Impact Cardio, 20 minutes, 93 calories, heart rate 123/166. I then did Lift Move Restore Pilates Fusion 33 minutes, 85 calories, heart rate 93/129. Total time 53 minutes, 178 calories.
The Pilates fusion begins with a warm up using a foam roller standing, moves to floor moves then switches to the min ball doing core moves that are really good, follows at the end with floor lower body with a fabric loop, and ends with foam roller stretch. I still have not done the upper body and barre yet. I previewed the barre while using the back pod. I like these workouts, and they are great for recovery days.
I wish I had the guide to go with it. I gather it will be a few more days.

Belinda, nice work Monday on JS Total Body Strong and SBF Strong Back. That is great that you are getting your RV back. I hope weather was good and everything is perfect now. It is my understanding that inflammation can move around the body. It is hard to keep it under control. The bottoms of my feet hurt at times and trying to do yoga and stuff that has my toes bent can really be painful. My doctor just seemed to think I needed to get the inflammation under control. I think they are all pretty unsure on some things. I just read up on things, find what has helped others and try to figure out what helps. I am getting up every morning sitting in the recliner with a heating pad on my ribs and sometimes neck, before I start my day. Helps to loosen up. As far as exercises, I think if a move does not set it off then it should be okay. There is definitely a difference between pain in joints and the spine and muscle pain for sure. I was fine doing the LMR core workouts. I am a bit careful with too much of a full plank. I can feel it in the ribs.

Debbie, great job on STS 2 Tri sets Total Body yesterday and Raw Kickboxing 5 today. I miss the kickboxing workouts. Hopefully I can get this all cleared up and do some again. I love Kelly's kickboxing. I think we are really good at sticking to the PT and stretching, but when we feel good again we tend to skip it more and then it all starts back up. I have tried to be good about some stretching most days. We only have so much time in a day to work out and to get everything in and a good stretch and therapy moves is hard. I am not very good at doing the doorway stretch. I did it when I went to PT. PT on youtube and websites all suggest the door stretch and one arm on the door frame and that turn helps costochondritis.

Deanna, good job on Low Impact Athletic Training, and the upper body foam roller. Seeing improvements is rewarding. I liked the jackknife move. It was not as hard as doing it on a stability ball. I have not done it on a stability ball in a long time. I think that Kelly Coffey has downloads that can be purchased. If that would work for you. I have so many different arts and craft things. I used to crochet and knit a lot. I have done paintings and art since I was 10. Mostly oil painting now. I just finished paintings for my granddaughter after 4 years of not painting. That got me started again and am on my second one my husband requested. I have scrapbook projects that I have not done anything with in years. I am enjoying the LMR workouts.

Roselyn, nice work on the Raw Kickboxing workout.

This morning I did RAW Box, Bands and Abs. I really like this workout, it goes by fast. It's under "Other" on the RAW Channel.

Boxing: 8 sets of different moves - 1.5# egg weights
Cloth Band: Squat Pulses (burner!) - Pink cloth band
Abs: Seated Knee Pulls

Boxing: 8 sets of different moves - 1.5# egg weights
Cloth Band: Squat Outs - Pink cloth band
Abs: Reverse Crunch (legs up and out)

Boxing: 8 sets of different moves - 1.5# egg weights
Elastic band: Side Steps (Firewalkers) - green elastic band
Abs: Plank, Knee In, Leg up (I did Dead Bug)

Workout was 45 minutes, burned 336 calories, did 2357 steps and HR was 134/167.

Roxie - What's a conta? Just curious. I'm glad your eye condition is stable right now. Maybe take some supplements that helps with eye help to maintain the stableness.

Roselyn - So glad to hear the baby's heartbeat was fine!! You had us worried when you asked for prayers. Great job with your Kelly workout yesterday!

Diane - Glad you had fun with your ladies group, that sounds like a lot of fun. I'm getting together with two of my cousins and a friend on Sunday for our Christmas exchange. Looking forward to it. I'm sure you miss boxing, I missed it a lot when I had to stop doing it for a while. I hope you can get back to it soon. It sucks when we can't do what we like to do. I really like the doorway stretch, I do that often. It helps open my chest up and my back always feels better when I do it. I try to do it a few times a week at least.

Jolie - Hope you are doing ok.

Belinda - How's the RV? Hope you guys made it out there safely.

Hope you all have a great day and great workouts!!

Well, I have been through the ringer!!! I got food poisoning on Sunday evening and have been so very sick the past 3 days. I am up and feeling so much better today but I am very weak because I have not eaten one thing since Sunday. I just ate an egg and feel a bit squeezy, but I have kept it down. My doctor does not think that I have the stomach flu because I only had severe vomiting and diarrhea nothing else. I did have a low-grade fever but not a high one. Also, the stomach flu lasts for 7 days and I am feeling so much better on day 4. I will try to get in some food and a lot of water today and see how I feel tomorrow. Thank God this did not happen during Christmas. Also, my elder dog in my photo is dying. I will have to put him down soon. He is turning 18 years old next month but I don't know if he will make it to Christmas. I am heartbroken...

I hope you all have good workouts today. I am so behind on Christmas, I hope I can pull it off! Take care my friends and stay healthy.

Oh my goodness! You are dealing with some tough stuff! I hope you heal quickly from that food poisoning. I only had that happen once years ago & it was awful. It pretended like it was going to go away, then it would return with a vengeance. It took about 10 days to recover. Everyone who was with me at the restaurant we ate at suffered too. I hope your recovery goes super quick.

I'm so sorry about your dog. It's so hard when the time comes for them to leave us. Enjoy the time that's left & always remember how special the 18 years has been.

Big hugs to you!

Debbie-that was supposed to be contacts they are hard an the size of a dime

Good evening,

We got in AL late last night. The RV has been here for 3 months. Today we cleaned everything top to bottom to put in storage when we get back. I am sure, I will clean it again before we head home, lol. I did managed to get a walk in with Sadie. I also did JS UB Push/Pull. Tomorrow we heading home. It will take us 2 day‘s to get home.

Diane - it snowed in TN when we left on Wednesday. We got in later than we planned to AL. I stopped at Target to pick up a few things. Then we had lunch. I hope your doctor gets your inflammation under control. I am getting lots of swelling at the bottom of my feet. It started when we went to the Key West. It’s a mix of burning and pain. I will bring it up to my doctor when I see him next week.

Jolie - I hope you feel better soon. It‘s heartbreaking when they our furbaby get sick and old. I know how it hurts to let them go. I am so sorry your have to go through this.

Debbie - we are still in AL. Our plans is to head out tomorrow. We will stay in TN overnight. We are not pushing more than 7 hour drive a day. We will get home Saturday. Gives us plenty time to winterize the RV/ It feels great having our RV back. I just love it. Now they put a door which I love to hide the bunk beds. So pretty. I will attaché a picture. I couldn‘t stand staring at those bunk beds. I probably will turn it to a closet later on? We still have to come back next year, they missed a few things.

I am super tired. I will get up early tomorrow morning and get my workout in. Good night.

Had a great workout this morning, I did STS 2.0 Total Body Super Sets and went a bit heavier from last time, which was in September. This series has made me really strong again. The barbell rows felt really light today and I went from using 30# to 40# today. I could have done 50# easily. Just trying not to injure myself.

Supersets done 2x's through. 8 reps for everything

SS #1
Squats: 20's
Deadlifts: 40#

SS #2
Incline Chest Press: 25's
Barbell Overhand Grip Row: 40#

SS #3
Kneeling Sweeper Curls: 20's - I did them standing
Incline Lying Triceps Extensions: 12's

SS #4
Shrugs: 20's
Calf Raises: 20's

SS #5
Alternating Sumo Squats: 30# (I did static sumo's)
Alternating Cross Back Lunges: 15's

SS #6
Incline Chest Fly: 22.5's - 2 sets
Barbell Underhand Grip Row: 40#

SS #7
Hammer Curls: 20's
Single Arm Kickbacks w/Loop Band: 12# (no band)

SS #8
Single Arm Lateral Raise: 10's
Double Arm Thumb to Thumb Rear Delt Fly: 5's

Workout was 60 minutes, burned 341 calories and HR was 117/148.

Jolie - Damn girl, so sorry to hear you've been sick like that! OMG. Do you have any idea what food caused it? Did you go out to at or something? And I'm so sorry to hear about you dog. It is so hard for us, I hate that part of owning an animal. Praying for you on both issues. :) Take care!!

Roxie - Oh ok, contacts makes sense. LOL!! I hate the contacts I have, they scratch my left eye. I'm usually in my glasses by lunchtime every day. I wear soft contacts, though. They still suck.

Roselyn - Good job with your lower body workout. I love STS 2!!!

Belinda - Glad you are slowly making your way home and I'm so glad your RV is good to go!! Yay!! Have a great trip!!

Hope you all have a great Friday and weekend!!

Yesterday I did Lift Move and Restore Barre Fusion with the foam roller upper bonus, 71 minutes, 163 calories, heart rate 92/139. I really liked this, it did a lower body move, then upper body usually with light dumbbells, and a core move. weight was generally 3#.
Today I did Lift, Move, Restore Total Body, 55 minutes, 157 calories, heart rate 102/131. I followed it with the Anytime Restorative Yoga bonus, 24 minutes, 47 calories. Total time was 79 minutes, 204 calories. I really wanted to try this weight workout even though I needed to modify and lower weight. I am not wanting to kick up pain since I am cleaning house tonight and cooking and prepping tables and stuff for Sunday's family dinner. I want to enjoy the family time. I also wrote down all of the barre workout and items used, but really do not want to type it up:p I doubt I will post the next two days. I will probably do the Yoga Fusion tomorrow morning. I have not done that one. I have done the some of the premixes here and there. I will hold off till next week for the upper unless today's total body causes me pain then I will wait.

Jolie, I am so sorry that you are having to put your dog down. She has lived a lot of years. I am sure it breaks your heart. My daughter had to put her Lab down a couple of weeks ago. She was the same age as my dog. They kept her till she finally could not get up and walk anymore. It is sad. My dog is almost 13 years old. I hope you are feeling a lot better and get your energy back.

Belinda, I am glad you are getting your RV home and having a safe and enjoyable ride back. It is hard to get rid of inflammation. It seems there is always something. I wonder if the burning is a nerve. I get burning and stinging up my spine. I cannot sit for long periods anymore. I have to move around. I have a bone spur in one of my feet. My doctor said if I can work out on it she recommends leave it alone. Foot surgery can often be problematic.

Debbie, great job on STS 2 total body supersets(my favorite) today.

Roselyn, nice work with STS 2 lower body

Hi to Roxie and Deanna

Good evening,

Sorry I haven’t checked in yesterday. We just came home to snow. We ended up staying in TN for 2 nights due to the steps not working going outside. I couldn’t get out of the RV unless I would jump, not with my bad knees. We had a mechanic came to the campground and fix it, actually he didn’t do anything except bang on the electrical wires. Go figure! We still going to have to get that checked out so it doesn’t happened again. We were in surrounded by mountains in TN, I couldn’t find a Walmart to buy a latter big enough so we can use it in case that happens again. My list of buying things for the RV getting big, lol. It’s always good to have one. We had beautiful weather in TN yesterday. I did JS LB while I we were waiting for the mechanic to show up and got in a nice walk. Plus, we cleaned the entire RV for storage. It was in the 60’s. We had a bad traffic. We only move 9 miles in 1:45 hours. Not sure what happened? We have snow. it’s also slippery outside, no fun driving an RV.

Tomorrow I will do JS until we leave on Wednesday for our Christmas family vacation to Fl. We decided not to give gifts, instead we all go on vacation. I still need to clean my house. I also have a doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon. I probably will not do JS workouts, I will spent time with my kids. Workouts can wait until I came back, right?

Did I mention how much I LOVE the doors they put on the bunk beds?

Diane - I can’t figure out what the burning sensation is coming from? I see my Rheumatologist tomorrow about my shoulder/biceps/neck and knees. I will mention the burn/pain. At first i thought my skin is so dry, I been lotions it since Fl. No relieve. I have bone spurs in my shoulder/neck. Haven it in your food sounds problematic. Eventually I will do Cathe’s new workouts. Can I do them without a lot of equipments? Great job yesterday.

Good night. I will catch up tomorrow morning.

This morning I saw Kelly put up some new videos. I decided to do RAW TLC Boxing. I liked this workout, it was very fun. I used my 1.5# egg weights but had to put them down after the 3rd combo because I was really feeling it in my upper back. Had a great workout.

Workout was 38 minutes, burned 352 calories (wow!), did 4139 steps and HR was 153/199. I didn't feel like my HR was that high, so I don't think it was. Yikes!!

Belinda - I love the new doors on your RV, they look wonderful! But wow on the steps not working. That is not cool. Good idea getting step ladder incase that happens again. I can't believe there are so many things going wrong with that RV. I hope it all gets straightened out.

Great job with your workouts this weekend. Have a great one today as well!

Good morning,

JS TB Stamina Sets = 40 min is done. I need to get ready for my appointmen.

Debbie - thank you. I love the doors too. I couldn’t stand staring at those bunk beds, lol. Eventually I will turn the bunk bed into a closet. I keep my workout stuff like my stability bal/small stepl/bands in the bunk beds. They came out better than I expected. The RV was at the shop for over 3 months. It may had something to do with the cold. We never had a problem with the steps before. We have to get it checked out. They build the RV during Covid too. They are fixing all. The paint on the cabinets turned out brand new. Great job this morning.

I will be back later.

I have had the worst few days ever. On Saturday morning I had to put my dog down and I am heart broken. I could not even go to do it, my husband and son went so I did not have to see it happen. My husband said it was very peaceful, and it was the right thing to do. It was a very hard decision for me to make but it was so hard. Today I am feeling a bit better so I took the pup for a 2 mile walk, just to get out of the house and get some fresh air. Both my husband and son have flu now so our house is the pits right now. Hopefully, everyone will feel better by Christmas! I will go back and read your post from the past week and try to catch up on everything.

Debbie, great job with the workout today.

I hope you all have a great day, I will try to make each day a little bit better. My pup is so sad, he has no idea what has happened to his best friend. Life goes on...

Good evening,

I saw my Rheum today about my shoulder/biceps and RP. He did an ultrasound it showed a rotator cuff tendinopathy, Biceps tendinitis and arthritis. It looked like a have a huge walnut in my shoulder with inflammation. No tear, He gave me a steroid shot to bring down the swelling. I will get my range of motion back. My RP is acting up again. I have Costochondritis (RP) and ear. He will run a test next time I have my infusion to see if the dose is enough. I also have to see the podiatrist for my burning feet and pain. Please sent me positive thoughts it’s not diabetes.

Diane - I hope it’s a nerve not something like diabetes.RP can cause all kinds of crazy stuff. A lot of people with RP have induced diabetes from the high does of steroids we have to take. I do have swelling too. Sorry you in so much pain with your spine. I am surprised you still workout like you do. You go girl!
My spine (knock on wood) is fine. I can’t sit long with my knees. My left shounder/biceps driving me bunkers.

Jolie - I am so sorry for your fur baby. It’s very hard to go through. It’s the hardest I had to go through :) holding them tight and helping all my dogs to cross the rainbow bridge. Tears running down my face writing this. When Brawler passed my other dog ChuChu was crying for weeks and looking for his buddy all over the house. It was heartbreaking. They are grieving too. It’s never an easy decision. Sorry for you and your family. My heart goes out to you and your family.

We are leaving on Wednesday and fly out of DC on Tuesday early in the morning to FL. I haven’t packed my suitcase yet or I picked out a dress to wear for the wedding in Fl. I ordered 2 dresses haven’t tried them on yet. Which my burning feet I have no clue what shoes to wear.

Good night.

I had a great Christmas yesterday with family. I ate too much of foods I would normally not eat. Feeling it today. I did Lift Move Restore Functional Mobility premix scrambled, 36 minutes, 94 calories, heart rate 94/124. I was hoping this would blend in some of the low impact cardio on it, but it did not. I followed with the Pilates premix only the foam roller stuff. II really liked the foam roller use in this as some was standing and there were movements for the back that are helpful. This was 23 minutes, 50 calories. Then I used the back pod which only takes about 12 minutes. I downloaded the guide to my computer and Google drive on my tablet. I only printed up the weight work sheets. There is plenty of ideas and rotations. I doubt I will do one of the rotations now as my ribs, neck, back and shoulders all determine what I can do in a day. I did nothing yesterday and it felt good to move today. I still have the upper body workout to try, but every time I look at the moves I worry. The weights are light on it though. The total body and floor scrubbing I did really set off some pain. It is easier to make adjustments and work body parts rather than compound moves. Tomorrow it is supposed to get up to 67 so we are planning on taking our bikes to the park. Weird December weather. Freezing one day and warm the next.

Debbie, nice job on the new Raw workout TLC Boxing. I saw the workouts this morning and will watch them before I do them. I recently had an abnormally high on my reading. I just figured it was a quick spike or something because I never felt out of breath at all.

Belinda, your doors on the bunk beds look great. That is sad the steps were not working. I hope the doctor can help you with your feet. It is sad that the meds that help with one thing can cause other problems. It is the reason I am so hesitant on starting something new. I get tired of hearing how it helps the quality of life.
Like it is my last days or something. Anyway, I hit those points where I think I am going to have to do something. Thinking of weddings and shoes makes me think of my granddaughter's wedding. I got some high heels to wear for it. I thought I was going to die before I got out of those shoes. I did not do any dancing. Funny thing is my granddaughter wore glitter white athletic shoes under her long dress. No one could see the shoes. I am glad you do not have a rotator tear. I am sorry you have costochondritis too. Hopefully the injection works for loosening your shoulders. I need to move as if I don't I will hurt worse sitting around doing nothing.
The yoga and mobility do not require any equipment. Barre uses 3# dumbbells a loop band, yoga ball, and balance disc. The Low Impact Cardio bonus uses no weight. Praying that whatever is causing your feet problem is not due to diabetes,

Jolie, I am sorry you had to put down your dog. That is hard to do. I hope your family has wellness soon and you have a nice Christmas. Good job getting your pup out for a walk.

Roselyn, nice work with Gym Style Legs.
