Hardcore Fitness Maniacs December 2024

Today I did Lift Move Restore mobility timesaver #1 warm up and cardio, 21 minutes, 100 calories, heart rate 122/150. I then did LMR Lower Body Bonus, 20 minutes of balance work on the discs standing. 44 calories.
I printed up the moves on the upper LMR workout from the workout manager. I won't do the bonus as it looks like it is all push ups and stuff using the balance discs. I know my ribs and chest may not handle it well yet. Things have been crazy busy. Yesterday I had a dentist appointment in the morning and came back and did LMR mobility fusions 26 minutes is all I had time for as I needed to get ready to go to my daughter's for dinner and them our grandson's musical production. Hopefully tomorrow I get up early enough to do more. I have things to get ready for next weekend family Christmas early.

Debbie, nice work on Cardio Acceleration #3 yesterday and today's Treadmill walk and stretch.. I wish Kelly had more stuff that have cardio that is not all boxing. I have a Ninja, but it is not a mini one. Not as big as my regular blender though.

Jolie, good job getting in the walks. I am sorry that your foot fell off the curb like that. I hope it feels better quickly. Enjoy the warmth. When we went to my grandson's production at school it was 25 degrees outside. Too cold.

Roxie, good for you getting back to the walking. I understand about the cold. It is too cold here as well.

Roselyn, nice work on the STS triceps and 10 minute Hiit work.

Belinda, good job on the JS single sided total body yesterday.

Good Afternoon,

I walked on the treadmill yesterday and today it was nice enough to get a walk in outdoors 2.14 miles.

Diane-thanks it just feels like I am not gaining anything so I really need to get back to weights.

Hi,

The live yoga/cooking class was a lot of fun. I will definitely do it again. She also offers one on one Pilates on the reformer. I will look into it. The yoga was to destress very calm. I also did JS TB Trisets.

Diane - great job on your mobility workout. I need to open my DVD’s, lol.Do what you can do and enjoy the time with your family.

Have a great evening.

After printing up the Upper Body moves from LMR yesterday and reading over weight lifting and recovery from Costochondritis I decided I would have to skip a lot. I should not do overhead stuff, no push ups, no bench press or definitely flies are the worst to do any time. There is a lot not to do. I can do arms and legs, but no deadlifts and suggests to squats till after healed. My ribs hurt last night, and I am not sure why. I did the cardio and lower body bonus so no lifting.
Today I did LMR Core Fusion + Core Fusion Level 2, I skipped the push ups and the last plank move. I think it is a real good workout. This was 41 minutes, 147 calories, heart rate 107/149 heart rate. I finished with some foam roller work on my back and did CDorner Deep Stretch along with a few minutes with the back pod, 32 minutes, 41 calories.

Roxie, nice work on the treadmill yesterday and getting a walk in today. I am glad it was warm enough for a walk outside.

Belinda, it sounds like you had a fun day doing the yoga cooking class. Good job adding in the JS Total Body tri-set as well.

Today I had an excellent workout, I did CL Vertical Loading #1 and used the Max Trainer for the leg portion of the workout. Boy oh boy does that thing work my legs and I can barely breath when I get off of it after two minutes. How people do a whole 15-to-20-minute workout on that machine is beyond me! I used it on manual mode and did resistance number 5. Yesterday I took my parents out for breakfast for my mom's 88th birthday, it was fun. I did not workout when I got back because it was too late in the day.

Diane Sue, I did not know that it got that cold where you live. 25 degrees is cold! Great job with the workouts the past few days.

Belinda, your yoga and cooking class sounds like a lot of fun! What did you cook?

Roxie, nice job on the treadmill workout.

I hope you all have a great Sunday. Make it a great day!

No workout today. Cleaning house and getting out decorations for family Christmas this Sunday. My husband is off this week and we will be getting things done.

Jolie, great jon on CL Vertical Loading #1 with the Max Trainer. That is nice that you took your parents to breakfast for your moms 88th birthday.
Some years we get some below 0 temps. It seems to cycle around different years. I think this may be a milder one. I hope it is the milder winter. Some of my plants are still green which is unusual for December.

Hi,

I went for a nice walk outside with Sadie today. I also did 2 stretching workouts, one with JS and the other with SBF Christmas stretch. I also did a belly dance. I am tired now.

Diane - I had no idea you shouldn‘t do with Costochondritis ? Try to stay away from those exercises and see if the inflammation gets better. Sorry you going through so much. Great job on LMR Core Fusion + Core Fusion Level 2 plus stretch yesterday.

Jolie - we made a vegetarian dish and homemade Chai Tee. I am not big on Chai Tee, that one I really loved. It was a vegan version. Happy birthday to your mom. I hope she had fun at breakfast.

Have a great evening.

This morning I chose RAW Strength 2 Cardio Acceleration. I had a excellent workout. It ran a bit long so I had to cut out some of it due to time, but I did most of it. Great workout! Since I've been doing STS 2 I have gained so much strength. The weights I used the last time I did this workout was very light. Maybe I was having knot issues or something. I used heavier weights today.

12 reps each lifting move, cardio was just as long as Kelly wanted it to go.

Shoulders/Triceps
Upright Rows:
15's
Cardio
Repeat
Double Arm Kickbacks: 10's
Cardio
Repeat
Overhead Press/Triceps Extensions: 10's - 12/8 reps
Cardio
Repeat

Biceps/Legs
Bicep Curls:
15's (I did supination curls for the 2nd set)
Cardio
Repeat
Squats: 20's
Cardio
Repeat
Hammer Curls/Squats: 15's (tough!)
Cardio
Repeat

Chest/Back
Dumbbell Flies:
15's
Cardio
Repeat
Seated Double Arm Rows: 20's
Cardio
Repeat
Chest Press/Connected Pullovers: 20's (I just did the chest press)
Cardio (Skipped both times)
Repeat

Abs - skipped

Workout was 49 minutes, burned 309 calories, HR was 126/170. Did 1913 steps.

Nice going on your workouts this weekend!! I spent all day Saturday at Craft Shows which I love. Me and my cousins go every year. Shockingly I didn't buy much, but it was just fun hanging out with my cousins and looking at all the cool stuff people make. I have so much stuff in my house I really don't need anything else. In fact, I need to clean my house out!!

Hav2 a great day everyone!!

Today I did CDorner cardio workout from 4 days ago, 45 min, 273 calories, heart rate 148/179(the highest I saw on my watch was 63 so not sure about the 179 as I was not working that hard), 6,169 steps. Something tells me all of the rebooting and connecting devises when I changed my scale batterie and had to adjust and do again, changed up readings. I followed with LMR Functional Yoga Fusion timesaver floor which does include the warmup, 25 minutes, 42 calories. 70 minutes, 315 calories. After that I did the back pod and started watching the pilates DVD. I really like this as it is pretty much just a mobility type workout using the foam roller. No planks. I did through the spinal decompression and stopped there. I checked the workout manager, and I just missed 3 moves. I will be doing this more.

Belinda, good job on getting in the walk with Sadie, two stretching workouts, JS and SB Christmas ones, and then Belly Dance. That was a lot. There is a lot on costochondritis and a lot they do not totally understand. Pretty much they know coughing is a common cause, RA can have something to do with it, and then there are those people that I have read that got it after an injury. Studies show it comes from the back and for whatever reason is most prevalent on the left. Odd really.

Debbie, great job on Raw Cardio Acceleration and the weights you lifted. All of the stretching and back pod stuff has made the tight puffy spot on the back of my left shoulder go away. I can actually feel my bones in that area now. So I guess that is positive.

vening.

Today I did JS TB Strong + Sculpted (Full Class) = 62 min + SBF Strong back = 24 min. I was packing for our trip to AL tomorrow. We are picking up the RV.

Diane - good job with Chris cardio and Yoga fusion workout. Costochondritis is also in RP. I off and on have inflammation in my rips. I was surprised when you mention some exercises you shouldn‘t do. I still do them all. I see my doc on Monday about it. I am not coughing. I also have swelling on the bottom of me feet for a few weeks? Not sure what this is all about? Sometimes it‘s hard to figure out why you get costochondritis ?

I will check in tomorrow once we in TN.

I keep looking at KCM's workouts. My sister loves hers, so I did buy a couple which I have done & liked. I got one of her latest DVD's, which has a balance workout that I really enjoy. I see she has a lot of DVD's but it looks like she's gone to streaming like the majority of fitness instructors now. My internet connection is not the most reliable where I live so trying to stream anything can get annoying with all the buffering & total disconnects. That's the main reason I haven't subscribed to Cathe lives.

I'm a crafter & enjoy browsing at craft shows. We don't have very many where I live so it's been a while since I've been to one. What type of crafting do you like to do? I used to love scrapbooking but in recent years I've landed on PanPastel painting & scenic stamping.

I also noticed in your profile pic, is that you sitting on a motorcycle? I spent years on the back of Harley's. There's something so free feeling about it. I miss it!

This morning I did STS 2.0 Tri Sets Total Body. I haven't done this workout since early August. I loved it. I only did the upper body only premix. I really enjoyed it and was able to go heavier than the last time. I had a great workout!

2 sets of each triset with 8 reps each

Chest Press: 25's
Chest Flyes, Pinkies In: 20's
Thumb to Thumb Chest Flyes: 20's

Deadlifts: 40# Barbell
Pullovers: 25#
Kneeling One Arm Row: 30#

Close Grip Bench Press: 25's
Seated Single Arm Overhead Extension: 12#
Lying Triceps Extension: 12's

Seated Overhead Shoulder Press: 15's
Lateral Raise: 10's
Kneeling Delt Fly: 8's
((Shoulders are feeling stronger)

Biceps Curls: 15's
Seated Hammer Curls: 20's/15's
Seated Sweeper Curs: 15's

Workout was 47 minutes, burned 230 calories, and HR was 107/135.

Diane - Great job with your workout yesterday. I'm glad to hear the back pod is helping you a bit. I hope it keeps on getting better. I'm not a fan of pilates, I never really cared for those types of workouts. I probably should do some of my PT workouts to keep the knots at bay. I find I only do them when I'm in pain which is stupid. Preventative maintenance should be my priority. LOL!!

Belinda - So glad you can finally pick up your RV!! I hope it's perfectly done. Great job with your workouts lately, you are killing it!

Roselyn - I love CoffeyFit, I've been doing her workouts for years and love all of them. I say go for it.

Deanna - I just like seeing what everyone makes. I'm a fan of jewelry, kleenex box covers, things like that. I'm not a crafter, but I used to crochet a lot and do cross stitch. I love KCM's workouts and I really love the ones on her RAW channel. I like how she's more personable on the RAW workouts versus the scripted ones she does on DVD's. Yes, that is me on my bike. I haven't ridden in a few years because people are crazy anymore. I used to ride my bike everywhere. I will probably sell it next summer. :( We bought a CanAm this past summer and that is a lot of fun to ride and drive. I feel more safe on it. You should post you workouts here, we'd love to see what you are doing. You only posted once and then pop on here once in a while. Please join us daily!

Have a great day everyone!!

Thanks so much for making me feel so welcome! I have been "lurking" a bit to read posts & starting to get to know the amazing members here.

I am always amazed at the crazy talented & innovative people out there! So many You Tube tutorials to learn from! I used to cross stitch all the time until my vision made it frustrating & I was taking out more than I was stitching. I used to be a big Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum fan. And Teresa Wintzler. I also used to crochet some, but really only knew the basic stitches...the singles, doubles & triples. I could follow a pattern if it wasn't too complicated. Not sure why I quit.

My sister is a big fan of KCM & has many of her DVD's. And she loves her RAW workouts too. I have landed on Cathe & finally have the whole collection, minus the cycle workouts. I had all of her VHS back in the day, but didn't start getting the DVD's until this year. I'm so grateful Cathe is still doing DVD's, since my internet connection tends to buffer A LOT. I also enjoy Tracie Long, Bar Method, Gin Miller, Kari Anderson, The Firm, & Karen Voight.

Enjoy your day!!!!!

Today was Low Impact Athletic Training, which is one of my most favorites. I had started out using just the platform & no risers, but I am now using 2 risers for the entire step section. Not ready for 3 risers yet. I've also graduated from the pink tubing to the green. So, lots of improvement going on which keeps me motivated. I did add on the UB Foam Rolling Bonus because I just can't stand not trying out one of these new workouts every day! It was a nice little add on. I actually felt very stable on the foam roller, which surprised me. The jack knife move at the end was fun! It feels different than using the stability ball! Every single one of the LM&R workouts has been above & beyond!

This morning I did RAW Kickboxing #5 and had a great workout. I used my 1.5# egg weights with this one. I like all the combos, they are fun. I worked up a good sweat.

Workout was 42 minutes, burnd 350 calories, did 3972 steps and HR was 142/171.

Roselyn - Diane has the Lift/Restore series and has been doing the workouts. Read her posts from the last few days, seems she really likes the workouts. Did everything turn out ok with your grandbaby's heart beat?

Deanna - That is why I stopped cross stitching, because of my eyesite. I know I can use a magnifying glass and light, but that is just such a pain to get set up. Plus it gives me a headache. I was really good at crocheting and used to crochet my own tops and socks as well as blankets and such. Loved doing it but then my hands and wrists started to hurt. I didn't want to get carpletunnel or whatever that is, so I stopped doing it. Plus I had so many projects made, there really wasn't room for much more. Nice job with your workout!!

Hope you all have a great day!!
