Hello everyone! It's so nice to be back. Thank you for the warm welcome - I could feel the hugs all the way through the computer I am the prodigal exerciser returned to the fold
It's a lovely day outside and ... Picante is here! My big bay warmblood arrived in style, in a huge 10+ horse trailor from a company that ships racehorses, prize show horses, and spoiled beloved four footed children. Guess which Picante is
I'll post pics later. He should be ready to for short rides this weekend after his six day trip across country. It feels so good to be moving forward, and bringing my family closer to me, rather than having to focus so hard on finding good homes and placements for those who cannot come.
You have all inspired me as I knew you would: yesterday I did my first full Cathe in a long time, the express full body premix on low impact trisets. My body feels it today, that's for sure. The radiation treatments feel like being too close to a hot lamp for a few minutes - not really painful. The aftereffect is about what you'd expect from getting regularly sunburned in a sensitive place day after day ... the tiredness is similar to that also. I've cut my hours at work slightly to accomodate an extra hour of sleep nightly, and might need to cut back one more hour a day this week. We'll see. I H A T E T O S L O W D O W N!!!!!! And besides, it feels good to be among people I love to work with as long as I can (changes pending, will tell you when it's official. Good news yet bittersweet, given how much I like what I'm doing now.)
Janie, as always, your posts breathe loving kindness. What an artist you've become! You were just getting started with necklaces and a few simple diagrams when I was posting last, and now I see gorgeous art
everywhere. It's wonderful.
Michelle, (((HUGS))) right back to you. Yes, let's find a way to get together. It would be terrific to meet Ripkin some day. He named us! Thank you for your good wishes. It has been far too long.
Laura, oh, my friend ... I have been reading your posts. You are a brave and lovely lady, doing the right thing for yourself and your girls. Doing the right thing does not change the hurt. Very best wishes to you. And if I can help in any way, please let me know. My prior academic life may be useful to you if you are going back to school. Letting go is hard. Do you sometimes feel as though you are filled with broken glass? I'm finding it so - and also, that friendship and movement and focus on building the now into the best it vcan be does help buffer the edges, but not remove them. I hope you are also finding ways to manage all of your changes ((HUGS))
Renee, very nice to meet you and thank you also for the greeting! I've enjoyed seeing your posts. You and I share a liking for veggies, it seems: green smoothies have become a staple and I also feel much better when I have them pretty regularly.
You may be curious about how the rest of the four footed ones and the property are doing, and I'll share some as time goes on. It really is quite painful to talk about, so indulgence please. I have done my best, and DH too, to make sure all will be as well as possible with everything and everyone we love, down to the cactus cuttings in my living room. Sentimental and worried about cactus cuttings??? Yes, well, you know me here And even most of those have good homes.
