Getting Our Licks In!

Hi Michelle so happy you are done with ccc because that one scares me! Lol so much dread. I did it 2 times and second time was only to give it another chance lol.. well noe still dread it. Ggeeat job! Did u habe yo pause at all? Oh I was wondering what do you do for a living you said u have a business trip and I don't remember if u told me what u do. Sounds kinda fun!

Janie that is funny about ur weights being to heavy lol id love to have sen ur face! I of course would have helped u but. I would have been giggling as well. I'm easily entertainned.

Laura have you tried any yoga from Tamal Dodge? I have two of his he seems good. I did one yesterday well two one was energy the other relax. He is for beginners. I was also Wanting to know if u have any other recomendations for beginning yoga dvds that will stretch me good, release tension and help me sleep and I need one to release tension yet energize, and release headache. I like Cathes yoga..and the yoga elements collection and, I have one of Rodney Yee. I saw one that was rae shia or some women I can't spell it but it looked good but very weird lol.

Yoga, 4 mile fall power walk, STS Shoulders, Bi's, & Tri's!!!

Janie!! Yikes!!!! Be careful honey You don't want to crush your self!, glad you are ok

Michelle, lol! Yeah love to hate CCC... I was just thinking about that one yesterday, its been awhile since I've done it...

Renee: I dont have many yoga DVD's but I do like Rodney Yee and Suzanne Deason. Giam's am pm yoga sounds like the perfect DVD they even have a short routine to loosen the neck and shoulders and is good for stress release on that dvd

Laura, nice job on walk and weights!
I needed to come back n tell my wo today. I don't think I added that earlier. I did weights first premix and kickbox, 4 DS. Nice wo. But knees and feet lol you kniw that ice ice ice.

Tonight was my very first Zumba class. I LOVED IT! SO MUCH FUN! One hour and hope I burned some calories. All my new clothes still fit me, so I guess I haven't gained any pounds. Yea! Tomorrow is another weight day, I think I'll go in when there isn't any one there. LOL:eek:. I'll be OK, now that I learned how to not get squished. LOL:) I just lost my post, so this time will be shorter.

Michelle, Great job on disc 24, back and biceps. Congrats for finishing STS meso2. So very proud of you. What will you be doing for your recovery week?

Michelle, Glad you took a great walk with Ripken this morning. Also yea for the Cardio Cor circuits which are done now. What a memory.:) Enjoy the boat this weekend.

ReneeP, Joey and I are still laughing about the chest presses at the gym LOL. We are easily entertained too.;)

Laura, Yep, I'm OK, Whew! Just scared the hell out me!
Great job on that 4 mile fall power walk, STS shoulders, bi's and tri's.

ReneeP, Great job on Weights first prem and kickbox, 4DS. Hope your knees will feel better soon. Yes, ice is good.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Hi ladies
Janid ilove some zumba to! I think it is so fun love the loud music!
Not sure what ill do today.. I may doo step heat or step fit. It is a cardio day. But I neeed a fast one since ig will be after work so hum I may. Do a premix of croossfire or css because it has so many premix choices to fit time and it gets hr up. My foot is hurting soo we will see. I'm hoping by this evening iill bbe feeling better.

Today is my rest day. I toyed with the idea of doing a stretch or basic step but I opted for sleeping another hour--LOL! Then got up, walked Ripken--short walk today because it was super humid and drizzling. I don't mind the drizzle but Rippy doesn't like the humidty. Did my morning meetings at Quantico and now I'm up the road at the office. Will be doing light cardio and yoga for the next week. Since I'm in CA 3 days next week, most likely will save the yoga for that time.

Janie and ReneeP: two more zumba fans. Alas, I am not. You guys would probably enjoy the zumba dance party at the Cathe roadtrip. Sister and I did it the first year, but since I opt for going back to the hotel and banking the time in a little more sleep.

ReneeP: I work for a federally-funded research and development center (FFRDC) that does work primarily for the Navy and the Marine Corps, however, we work for other services and Defense organizations as well. My official "title" is principal research analyst--my area of expertise is defense manpower policy analysis, particularly with respect to the Marine Corps, the Reserves, and the National Guard. My trip next week is in support of a study that I am doing for the Marine Corps.

ReneeP and Laura: Cardio core circuits--I think is one of Cathe's most challenging workouts. I try not to hit the pause button--my philosophy is if I don't hit the pause button, the workout keeps moving and I'll be done sooner than later, particularly on the HIITs, DWP, and CCC.;)

Okay--enough cyber chatting. Back to work.

Rest Day for me today to.... To busy and feeling like I am fighting something off... That is a sign to rest! Sophia had a little sniffle sore throat last week but it never totally took her down! Well fortunately and unfortunately I can mark another item of my list! While getting ready for the twin sale I realizes I had forgotten the important step of signing up for the sale! Oops!!! I organized cleaned and stored it all away for next year! Honestly I am glad to not have to deal with it this weekend

Janie & Renee Zumba can be fun! But I perfer to just Go out dancing to live music when I can...

Michelle I always enjoy hearing about your job! I saw a one legged jogger that looked like a vet running in Boulder! He sure did look military, very inspiring!! Enjoy your rest week...nice it landed on a travel week!!

Gawd you guys alll have an interesting life! Ha I spend the day looking at teeth lol.
Michelle that is a neat job! Sounds VERY important! Lol
Laura I would rather go dancing to.. but there is no where to go here!
I miss it so much DH and I used to go out on" dates " before we moved but that was a long time ago. We diid try too go. About 4 yrs ago... I think we were the oldest people there! They were babies and noone our age lol.
I decided on crossfire this evening. I usually go for a light WO on days I work but. Today I wanted to push myself out of comfort zone plus my feet we're up to it since I did lower impact. So I felt ACCOMPLISHED!

Today was messing around in some of the casinos. Looked at Prius (car) and going to the souvenir job again. Joy won $150 dollars! We are way ahead now and won't be gambling any more. So cool and very lucky. Did Cardio yoga today, it was a challenge since it's been a very long time doing one. Felt good though.

ReneeP, How are your feet feeling?

Michelle, Hope you enjoyed your rest day. Good job on walking Ripken even if if was short because of humid and drizzling weather. I know I would enjoy the Zumba class from a road trip. I watched the person giving that class and it looked like so much fun.

Laura, Oh no, hope you are not coming down with something. It is time for a rest. Looks like you'll be ready next year for the twin sale.;)

ReneeP, Great job on CF tonight. Yeah for pushing yourself out of the comfort zone. How can you not feel accomplished by doing that. Good for you!

Take care,

Janie

Janie that's great u won some money! I'm glad u are getting some wo in. Cardio yoga sounds interesting.
I did step works from cardio hits and abs on that dvd. It was fun the choreography was such I could jump right in there and step away with some nice sweating! Loved it. I think it was medium choreography and medium to high intensity. It wasn't real high intensity I mean just right for the length I thinm. That was first timd j had done that one! I love finding a step wo that I can get into and keep up with, and no getting confused. That's my kind of wo. Old school I guess lol

Today was a long walk with Rolly, about an hour.
Here is yet another zentangle that's completed. I call it Bead Box Secrets.

Reneep, great job on SW from Cardio Hits also on the ab work as well. I love that step workout and you explained it very well.

Take care,

Janie

Sat I rested well I did yoga. I did Cardio and weights I did bette on that one then the first couple times I did this.. I think I did this workout total of three times got all steps down and my weiights were all Like Cathes except my biceps and one round of shoulders I had to go down on second round. But I can see I have improved some! Happy about that!

I can't remember the last time I posted. I think it has been a few days. I'm going to recap recovery week cardios since Friday and if I repeat myself, please bear with me. Friday was low impact step; Saturday was Low Max intervals only premix, Sunday was low impact circuit cardio only premix, and today I did body max 2 cardio timesaver. Tomorrow through Thursday will be yoga. Get up early tomorrow morning so I can head up to National airport. I figure if I leave my house no later than 6 am, I should get to National by 8. Flight is at 1030 through Phoenix to Las Vegas. Supposed to arrive in Las Vegas 3 pm (Vegas time). By the time we get the rental car and drive to Barstow, it will be close to 7 pm if we don't stop to get something for dinner along the way. Shoot--I'll be ready to go to sleep by then--that will be 10pm EST and my bedtime.

ReneeP: cardio and weights is one of my and sister's favorites. We love the Buttercup song on the 4th step routine. I always end up singing it all day--how about you?

Janie: love those walks with the pup. Ripken has been good for about 30-45 minute walks these days, plus he loves spending a little time with his doggy friends. He has been more playful with his buddies of late--probably because the weather is cooler.

Go Nationals!
Michelle

Walked for hours on the strip, had the most wonderful and memorable time. I got in a mood that I get into every now and then. I saw a family of Asian people (who I love to tease, because they love it). The man of the group was waving behind me to his mate and I decided to wave back. We both laughed about that because he new it was unusual and funny. Then because he took it so well I decided to take it to another level. When his group was in front of him for a photo session I decided to get into the picture with his family (just all of a sudden). They all acted surprised and since I've done this before I knew what was going to happen. LOL They loved it and wanted me in their pictures some more.

Then Joey asked if he could take a photo of them with their cameras, and they said yes, but with me in the photo with them. LOL It goes on and on like that, we took pictures of them they took pictures of us we all took pictures of all of us and we almost got another stranger involved to take a picture of The Asian family and Joey and I together. So funny and had a blast with them! Will never forget this funny time, it was very special and very spontaneous.

Aren't they beautiful!? That's Joey and me in the middle LOL. We were at the Venetian.

ReneeP, Great job on Sat. yoga and Cardio and Weights. (love that one) Very good going keeping up with Cathe the way you did. Wow, look at you go! I know how you feel when there is improvements. Congrats. You deserve it.

Michelle, Busy lady, missed you, but do understand how life goes on. LOL:) Great job on your week of Low Impact Step, LM intervals prem., LIC cardio prem and today's BM2 cardio timesaver. Sounds like a very busy time traveling and will think of you when you are in Vegas and driving to Barstow. Be safe OK?

I'm glad Ripken and you are waling these days and him loving time with his doggy friends. Give him a pet for me when you can.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Picked up the newlyweds tonight. They looked exhausted. Poor things have jet lag and need to get acclimated to Vegas again. Dan's birthday tomorrow and bought him a pinata, baked him a cake. Will put 4 candles on it to represent 40 years.

Will be leaving the next day early (the 11th) and don't know if we will be connected to a computer in Hanksville UT. Hopefully there will be WFI somewhere, but it's kinda sorta iffy and sometimes doable. We'll see. If you don't hear from me that's why and will connect with you all when we get back to civilization within a week or two.

Take care,

Janie

Took Monday and Tuesday off did cardio hits. Power max today. And a yoga for healthy back. Hadn't felt good for two days. Im feeling better now. Just not 100% love the pics Jamie

Hey sorry for being MIA.... Crazy hectic week... Didn't workout from Thursday to Monday! Been crazy sore from classes this week!! ,-0 I did get STS workout in too!

Hope to have some time to go back and read what's been going on for y'all but to tired tonight, but just wanted to at least check in

Long story short, our son and his new wife now has rules so that it makes it impossible for Joey and I to visit them. The rule is: No one will be spending the night at their house while visiting Vegas, they recommend hotels. It's so very different even to be able to talk to my son without Jannel there interrupting our conversations. I'm afraid this might be the last time we see Dan. We didn't leave on a bad note with them. However, things are just not right in our minds.

We decided to leave and we are now on our houseboat with no rules to follow or break.
Cleaning it is an all day event. The dust in it was literally 2" thick around the windows. But, it's getting there for us to live in for a week or so.

We are going to sell it, so if anyone wants it very very cheap, let us know. Just make any offer. Everything works except water system. Water system needs to be replaced. 1975 47 foot, sleeps 8 people on beds. We bought new motors a while back and never used them. If you do want it, it's in boat storage in Hanksville UT lot and we pay $1300.00 a year. You would have to resume that responsibility or move it. Some water damage needs fixing up but other than that for a 1975 house boat, it's in fairly good shape. The last 10 years we've been using it as a cabin and visiting the many parks around this area.

ReneeP, Great job on your rest days PM and yoga. Glad you are feeling better.

Laura, DOM's does take it's toll. Well done on all the classes and fantastic job on STS workout.

Take care,

Janie
