Getting Our Licks In!

HIIT 30/30 yesterday and squat rack disc 38 today. I think tomorrow's cardio is MMA Kickbox but I have to check the rotation. Also did some yard work yesterday--starting cleaning out my garden and raked leaves, again. This will be my "thing" for the next few weeks. Ya'll are going to think I'm nuts, but I'm toying with the idea of starting to drag up the pieces of our artificial Christmas tree from the basement. You guys know I complain about wrestling with that thing every year. I'm thinking if I get it put together early this year (like the first week of November) then maybe I'll feel less stressed about all the other holiday stuff. Just a thought--as of now, the tree is still wrapped in its box in the basement.

Janie: welcome home. I know you, Joey, and your pup are happy to be home. I still say give the situation with Dan some time. I have faith, things will work out. Love the musical zentangle. Don't know how you do it. You definitely are the creative one of this bunch. Stick your elbow out so I can give it a kiss to make it feel better--THERE! Did that work?

Laura: hang in there girlfriend. I know you guys will make it through this latest event.

ReneeP: I think we all like eating. I don't like cooking but I do love eating. Lately, I seem to have a thing for hamburgers. Mind you, I don't sit down and eat a bunch--but I feel like I could eat one everyday. Just love a good hamburger--what can I say?

Looks like summer will be returning to Virginia this weeks. I'm not complaining.
Hope everyone has a great week of exercise.

Lol Michelle I think I like the taste of a hamburger but every time I have ate into one i bite a crissle I hope I spelled it right. But now I can barely eat one. But give me pb! Lol
Oh yes mmy foot still hurts. It. Is more on ankle though itss like if I step on my foot the pf pushing up somehow hurts tha ankle ..been lime that since I heard and felt it pop. But I keep icing it. I got tired of telling you guys about it so I figured, you guys was tired of reading a out it. But I did a 2.5 mile jog.. I didn't get to do more because I felt my ankle. Strange! Well I hope everyone js having a very blessed day and night!

Went to a play tonight. We left at intermission. It was a Shakespeare play, but they did such a bad job. It is our last time there, from now on we will watch plays near our beach house. A better stage and done by students.

Michelle, Great job on squat rack disc 38. Wow that one is a hard one, but love the feeling of being strong. Also on the cleaning of the garden. That's a lot of work. Actually I think putting up the tree to relieve stress later on is a fantastic idea. Go for it. I see lots of Christmas stuff already up in the neighborhood. Maybe they are doing the same thing. We'll give Dan time. Thank for your support on my zentangle, makes me feel good. My elbow is sticking out. LOL Please make it feel better.:( I think it does feel better! LOL Thank you. Enjoy your unexpected Summer week. Lucky you.

ReneeP, Sorry about your foot still hurting. Great job on the 2.5 mile jog. Good thing to listen to your body and not go any further. You have a good night too.

Janie

Did my own thing on the spin bike and on the step for 25 min. Next time will be longer, it's a start.

Take care ladies,

Janie

Happy Tuesday everyone. Yesterday was MMA Kickbox and today was STS disc 30. The second week of meso3 is almost over! Time sure does fly by.

ReneeP: that is too bad that your foot/ankle is still giving you issues. I think I'd be going nuts by now if I was still dealing with a hurting foot. That really does make it a challenge to exercise.

Janie: I'm not sure how you found a husband who likes to go to plays, whether community theater or college students. Lucky you. And I'm sending kisses to your elbow. Sure hope it feels better.

Not much else of note going home.
Michelle

Michelle! Ur almost finished with STS again! Good job! So what was the results this time? And was it any different the second time around?
Yes it does drive me nuts but I'm at least able to put pressure on it. Before I couldn't even stand on it then after while o could stand but not walk. Now I can exercise its just hurting in different area and different way. I limp still if I had been sitting a bit. But once I star exercise I don't feel it. Its after the exercise I feel it. I can't sit to long at all because of foot. But my back to.. sems as long as I continue to move I feel better.
Janie I agree it is had to find a man to go to plays. Shoot mine won't ho to movies..to many people. Hum. Good job on spin and step. Every bit counts!
Not sure what ill do today. I may do ub pyramid!

Yesterday was a full fun day. Finished with a portrait zentangle of my niece. The name of this zentanlge is "Jessica". She truly is an inspiration to me. Our internet was on the blink last night and was not able to post.

Today will be a lot of lower body work, will post when I'm done.

Michelle, Great job on yesterday's MMA Kickboc and today's STS disc 30. I am lucky with my hubby, we are really good at supporting each others things. I love that too!

ReneeP
, Hope your feet get better. Must be so hard on you. :(

Take care ladies,

Janie

This morning was Cardio Core Circuits. I think Cathe has CCC in every remaining week of the STS/cardio 3 1/2 month rotation. I don't know if doing it once a week for 4 weeks in a row will improve my performance or not. For me, CCC is one of Cathe's hardest/most intense cardios.

I'm working with my fantastic young analyst today to get a document out. She is really great, but my head is about to explode from concentrating so hard. I'll try to get back later for more personals.

So it's snowing!!!! We have a good 4 inches and now snowing again! Yippee!!!

Well, I tweaked the Jessica zentangle so much that I ruined it.:( I've started another one and I must say, from what I learned on the first one, this is a keeper. I'll show it once it's done.

Michelle
, Great job on CCC. Yep, it's used a lot in her rotation. It does help for sure. Get some rest from work.

ReneeP, I'm a person that when I do art work it takes me such a long time to do it. But if I breath and calm down and not rush it, it can be good. Hey, great job on the 2 miles of jogging and callanetics. I love callanetics.

Laura, Sorry about losing your post, that's so frustrating. Great job on the 4 classes on Mon. I can just imagine how sore you were from that the next day. Great job on Tues.'s 30 min. elliptical taught Pilates and New Fusion Class. I'm glad it's a good turn out for you. Also on Wedn.'s teaching yoga class and Total Tone.

You have got to be kidding me! Snow? Already? Boy are we in for a Winter. Be safe and do enjoy it.

Take care,

Janie

Wow I love it! You are very talented!

Michelle I am not looking forward to shopping.
I did a callanetics again boring this time around. I then did step heat. That one is usually easy forme. But I have been feeling drained and tired so I felt it went on and on.lol well anyway I finished it. I then had to get away for a bit so I went to see paranormal activity 4 and it was not scary. I was even alone and didn't jump so u know it was not scary. I'm gonna try sinister next I think.

Hi everyone! I haven't checked in because I haven't even had time to exercise so nothing to report that way but I just thought I would come say hi!

Janie you are very talented! I love your creativity it is so inspiring!

Michelle week 3 wow! What are you doing next? Did your sister do STS with you?

Renee: do you like scary movies? I have a low tolerance for them, i get scared so easily!

Happy Hurricane Sandy Monday--okay, maybe not so happy. I have managed to stay pretty much on track with STS meso3, week3. Missed my cardio on Saturday because we were busy getting the boat ready for this storm. Yes, we are getting a bit of wind and rain here in the Mid-Atlantic. Wet dog walks-fun, fun, fun. Ripken did really well when we had Hurricane Isabel but he was only about 2 years old when she blew through about 10 years ago. He is not liking this storm, this time around. He will go out for a super short walk and then wants to come back in. I don't blame him. He does enjoy getting towelled dry though.;) Lots of puppy hugs and kisses when I dry him off. Who wouldn't like that?

Janie: this zentangle is wonderful too. How did you manage to recreate nearly the same image?

ReneeP: I'm with Laura; I'm not into scarey movies either. Used to love them as a teenager, but after I took a horror film course in college, I was pretty much over the genre.

Laura: sister is on meso3 week 3 as well. Not sure what we are going to do when we are done with STS and do the last active recovery week. But we have time to figure that out. One thing is for sure, we have plenty of great workouts to choose from.

Okay--if I'm off the net for the next few days it is because we have lost power. But keep your fingers crossed that we do not. I said a few extra "Hail Marys" last night--I'm sure I will be saying a few more.
Everyone take care and have a great week.
Michelle

Michelle ... ill be praying for you guys. Man that is scary! But I love how uou describe ripkin and wet walks! Lol I bet he does like toweling off..attention attention .. makes me laugh!
Did I tell u guys my dog duke the one I think ripkin looks like.. he can open the gate now! He is old dog now but had the gate for about two yrs and he now can put his pal In a whole of gate pull it to him let go and hurry and stick his head through the gate so he gets his body through lol. He always been smart but my goodness he surprised me on this one. I will have to upload his pic for u.
Oh yes I still love a good scary movie !!! Are u kidding ill never out grow it. Lol
I jog two miles and walked one yesterday. Just been non energetic...stress n worry.

Janie good pic! Do u know how to paint by chance?

Don't laugh you guys but I'm trying to write a book. I am having hard time everytime I start writing my hands cramp up. I am doing a biography.
I need an editor then I need a publishing company lol.
Doing weight today but not sure which one.

Good morning! The worst of the storm has passed and Ripken was much better about walking this morning. It is still raining but the wind is more like a breeze with an occasional "normal" gust, nothing like what the Weather Channel is reporting as possible. Never lost electricity either. Hopefully, it stays that way.

ReneeP: writing can be therapeutic. And our own Janie can share her experience with you at writing a book. I write papers for work. I have a chapter in a book on the Reserves--that is the extent of my writing. Plus here. So, no one laughing at you. Trying to write a book is a huge undertaking. If you can, I think it is helpful to talk with/communicate with other writers who have written books of the same genre. My best girlfriend, Janet, who passed away in the spring--her son Dusty is a writer. He writes medical/historical/science fiction type books. His first was a best seller (The Rule of Four) and his second (12-21) just came out in August. I haven't read the second one yet. I also used to work with Janet Evanovich's husband, Peter, back before her Stephanie Plum series was a series. So, you just never know what will happen unless you try.

Hi to Janie and Laura. STS disc 33 later today!
Michelle
