Getting Our Licks In!

It's a rainy Saturday. Cleaned up my home office a little, then I did To the Max Triple Tabata premix and Slow and Heavy biceps and abs. I might take a little break from Cathe this coming week and do some of my Jillian Michaels workouts just to do something difference. I also have PureBarre classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Hope everyone is having a relaxing Saturday.
Michelle

Jillian Michaels 30-day shred level 1 today. Good 30-minute workout typical JM format: 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio, 1 minute of core, 3 circuits like this. Level 1 was good but I'll probably kick up to level 2 tomorrow. I also have PureBarre late tomorrow afternoon.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
Michelle

So, I did one more day of JM Ripped in 30 level 1; tomorrow I'll kick up to level 2. PureBarre at 4:15 this afternoon.

Wishing everyone a great Monday and a super week. Get your licks in!
Michelle

So sorry Michelle, you have been all alone. (hugs!) Been doing many different things lately and been bad at posting over the weekend. I'll do better, I promise.

Yesterday Walked the beach with Rolly of course. Tonight will do something with weight and post it later. I'm bad.

Michelle, Glad the PurBarre class is better. Great job for that and doing Crossfire premix: fitness blast, plyo tabata and core. Wow. The 33 min. to me sounds perfect. I'll try it tonight. Thanks for the suggestion.
Then add a quick easy full body weight workout, most likely by me. LOL I'm so impressed with your sister being so musically inclined. Her mind must be so beautiful.

Michelle, It's always nice to have a cleaning day (in your case the office) and awesome when it's over. LOL Great job doing To the Max Triple Tabata prem and Slow and Heavy, biceps and abs. I think taking a break from Cathe is good. Tricks your body into making muscles and is refreshing doing something with another instructor. Enjoy those PurBarre classes, wish I could join you.

Michelle, Great job on Jillian 30 day shred level 1. Hmmm, thinking about purchasing it. Hmmmm Enjoy your PureBarre tomorrow.

Michelle, Great job for doing another day of JM Ripped in 30 level 1. Enjoy that PurBarre.

Take care,

Janie

So I survived another PureBarre class yesterday. I'm getting a little more used to the format. It's similiar to yet different from Cathe's TurboBarre workout. Did JM's Ripped in 30 level 2 workout today. A very doable 34 minute workout, so will do again tomorrow.:) And I have another PureBarre class tomorrow afternoon. I'm trying to get my money's worth out of the pre-opening deal that I purchased: unlimited classes for 5 weeks for only $100. :p

Janie: it's okay I've been checking in alone for a few days. I know that folks get busy from time to time. We all take turns keeping things going, but it's nice to have you back. Are you still off the cardio?

Hi to the rest of the crew: Kathy, sister, Cindy, and Laura.
Michelle

Did Aerobic Yoga and Rolly and I walked the beach for an hour. Been eating to many cookies and have gained more weight. Ugh!

Michelle, Great job on the PurBarre class yesterday. And for today's JM's Ripped in 30 level 2. You are doing really well. That is a good deal for unlimited classes for 5 weeks. Been mainly doing cardio, need to really get in there with weights.

Take care,

Janie

Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 level 2 again today, plus my PureBarre class.

Janie: what instructor are you doing aerobic yoga to? Jillian Michaels yoga meltdown dvd is kind of like an aerobic yoga workout. Stop eating the cookies. However, I saw the picture that you posted in FB of you riding the bike on the beach and you don't look like you've gained wait to me. But still, stop eating the cookies.;) And give Rolly a big hug from me.

Michelle

Here is the yoga I do. It was at one time a VHF and Joey burned it into a DVD for me. I love this yoga sooooo much. It's old but very good.

Michelle, Great job on JM Ripped in 30 level 2. And the PureBarre class. I want to do the classes with you! Okay! No more cookies. You are right. I'll give Rolly a hug from you. He says Arph Arph (means Hugs back to ya). LOL Someone else posted that picture. It was a fun day though.

Take care,

Janie

I've been on vacation this week. And what a beautiful week its been. I've been keeping up with my Body Beast workouts but I also have been swimming on Tues. & Wed. My body is hurting due to all the swimming. Every time I throw something new at my body it seems to want to rebel. LOL For my cardio on Thurs. I did Turbo Fire 45 EZ class with Chalene Johnson. Today will be PiYo's Hardcore on the Floor which I previewed & looks very good. I went shopping & took DS out to lunch on Thurs.

Michelle: That's a pretty good deal you got re PureBarre classes. Glad you found the right instructor. It makes all the difference.

Janie Sis: I was very bad yesterday eating wise. I had some flan & then later in the afternoon had an ice cream sandwich. Me bad. I think I did more damage than you with eating some cookies. Will just do better today. When your walking on the beach do you ever go swimming? That yoga instructor I've never heard of. The flow of all the different poses going one right into the next does promote a cardio effect. PiYo does that in Sweat & Drench.

My DS purchased tickets for all of us to go to the US Open on Sunday. Would you believe its the one day that's going to rain? Hopefully not a downpour but just showers. My DH's birthday is on Monday. Will probably take him out to lunch some place. Not sure yet.

Hope everyone's Labor Day weekend is a good one.

Take care,
Kathy

Needed to post this now while the light is good outside. Will add a back ground and try to make a few copies of it tomorrow. I'm naming it "Contagious Laughter". It is my niece Meghan with her new hubby Andrew. Thank you for letting me use you as my models. This is 14" X 17" done in ink and pencil. I haven't even shaded it yet. Once completely done will look different than you see it here. Like I said we will be really busy tomorrow and right now is a good time with the lighting outside, but you will get the jest of it. Hope you like it.

Will post and respond later tonight. Have to go!

Janie

Break day yesterday; JM's Ripped in 30 level 3 today. These ripped in 30 workouts are something else. Jillian throws in some new moves that are not that bad. All I can say is thank-you Cathe; without you, JM would be alot harder. Looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend. Going to Agility Trials in Fredericksburg with my cousin-in-law and her baby girl tomorrow. Looking forward to being around lots of dogs for part of the day.

Janie: you are so incredibly talented. I just can't get over the pictures that you do. Sometimes the old workouts are the best; we forget how good they are until we dig them out of the moth balls.

Kathy: great week to be on vacation. The weather has just been outstanding. Enjoy the U.S. Open on Sunday. If I ever come to NY for Westminster, maybe we can meet. My best girlfriend, Janet, and I always said we would go to Westminster one day. Unfortunately, she passed away a couple of years ago. Every time I go to a dog show, I think of her and how much she would have enjoyed going to a local kennel club show.

Hi to Cindy, Larura, and sister. Sister has bought a drum set. So guess how she is spending the weekend? Good thing she lives out in the country and her neighbors are not real close.

8-30-14

Yesterday I did PiYo's Hardcore on the Floor. It has some challenging moves in it but Chalene does an outstanding job at taking you a step at a time in learning the advanced move. I was one sweaty mess afterwards.

Today had a surprise visit from my oil furnace tech. He's here now cleaning the furnace. Once he's finished I'll do my BB (chest/tris) + Core #1. Tomorrow will be a rest day for me as I'm going to the US Open. Too bad that its going to rain. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see some of the matches before the thunderstorm comes rolling in.

Michelle: I would love to go to the Westminster show. I've never been. I've been to Madison Square Garden for the equestrian riders but it was such a long time ago. I'd love to meet you. Renee bought herself a drum set? Oh my now how many instruments does she play? I already know she plays the slide trombone & I think she plays the piano (don't remember). She's amazing. We know now what Renee is busy doing. LOL Enjoy your time w/your cousin-in-law & the baby at the Agility Trials. That sounds like fun. I should check out JM's 30 Day Shred. I always heard good things about it.

Janie Sis: Your art work always blows me away. Your such a talented person. The picture is beautiful. Thx for sharing it w/us.

I probably won't get a chance to post again until Monday.

Have a great day.

Waves to Cindy, Renee & Laura.

Kathy

Today was scheduled a beach clean up. Windy, rainy, but not too cold. After 2 hours I was done. The ball of my foot started to ache so I felt I needed to quit. It was enough anyway. Got soaked, and with all of us volunteers our beach is much cleaner. Yea! Hoping to do a yoga tonight. We'll see.

Michelle, Great job on your rest day and for JM's Ripped in 30 level 3. Enjoy your time with cousin-in-law and baby girl at Agility Trials. You need a doggie now! My son-in-law (loves drumming) gave me drum sticks, drum pads (makes it silent) and a DVD and book. I sometimes look in it and drum a bit (peri-ddidle, peri-diddle...) LOL! Too many other things I'm doing. Maybe someday though.

Kathy Sis, Great job on PiYo's Hardcore on the Floor. Don't you love the sweaty mess after a workout? Yea, good for you!

Take care everyone,

Janie

Had a great time yesteday at the agility trials with my cousin-in-law Kristin and my little 4 month old, second cousin, EmyLou. The event was inside so we had climate control and nonstop canine entertainment. Definitely an event that I will do again. Much more "active" than conformation, equally enjoyable. Didn't get to exercise yesterday; did JM's Ripped in 30 level 3 again today. She definitely kicks into a higher level on the 3rd workout. Looking forward to seeing what level 4 is like.

Janie: community beach clean up is good for everyone's soul. I figured it might be a little rainy your way since it was spitting rain during the Nats/Mariners baseball game last night in Seattle. I know you are way from Seattle, but the rain has to come in from the coast, doesn't it? Be careful with your foot. Sand is always the best for foot support--that might be while it started hurting.

Kathy: hope you are enjoying the U.S. Open today. I just heard that the matches are in a rain delay--hopefully, you've been there most of the day and the rain does not last too long. The wind is blowing here like crazy. One of those strong southerly winds that could blow up a storm in a snap. Nothing here yet, but we could use a little rain.

Nothing new on the "waiting for a golden retriever puppy" front. I'm still waiting. Seiko delivers around September 9th.

Michelle

Rolly and I on beach for about an hour and tonight yoga. Started to yet another drawing in my mind, can't wait to get it on paper.

Michelle, Glad you enjoyed the agility trials and that it was pleasant inside. Great job on JM's Ripped 30 level 3. I'm looking forward hearing about level 4. LOL! I think you are right. I'll be careful how I walk on my walks. Will you be getting another doggie Sept. 9th? I hope you do. How fun and exciting.

Take care,

Janie

JM's Ripped in 30 level 4 today--this one really gets your heartrate up. I was feeling good about level 3 yesterday; level 4 was a bit of a challenge. But I got through it and will give it another go tomorrow.

Janie: September 9 is Seiko's "due date." Because Seiko has had a bit of a challenge getting pregnant, the breeder is going to have the vet do a c-section so he can take a peak inside her uterus to be sure that nothing out of the ordinary is going on in there. So, we find out how big the litter is on September 9. If there is more than one puppy, then at 7 1/2 weeks the breeder will have the litter evaluated to determine if the pups are show, performance, or companion pups. I want a male show pup. So if there are multiple pups, it will still be a while before a determination is made as to their quality. Pups can go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age, so it would be ~Nov. 9 assuming many things. So, a long explanation to say: I'm still waiting. Yoga sounds like a good idea. I haven't checked out the September rotation yet so not sure what is next after one more day of JM RI30-level 4.

Hi to the rest of the gang: Kathy, Laura, Cindy, and sister.
Michelle

Second day of JM's Ripped in 30 level 4--yeah! Doing eight days of JM was a nice change but I think I'm ready to go back to Cathe. The September rotation looks good, so I will be starting that tomorrow. First up: great glutes. Throw in a PureBarre class tomorrow afternoon and I ought to be in great shape for Thursday (when I also have another PureBarre class).

Hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Labor Day weekend. Now back to getting your licks in. Woof, woof!
Michelle

Walked the beach for an hour and a half with Rolly. Later in the day did Aerobic Yoga. Tonight I hosted my art group (UFO) Unfinished Objects. A total blast. I even played and sang Harvest Moon and Mad World. Wow! Voice was shaky in spots, because it was my very first time singing in front of anyone other than my Joey. It was so much fun! Want to do it again!

Michelle, Great job on Ripped in 30 Leve 4 today. YaHOoo! You are getting better. Very proud of you. Awe, I just want a dog for you. I can't wait for it to happen! LOL!

Michelle, Fantastic job on 2nd day of JM's ripped in 30 level 4. Good time to Start the September rotation. Wish I could make those PureBarre classes with you.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Started Cathe's September rotation this morning: Great Glutes. Next up this afternoon at 4:15: PureBarre. Ask me how my legs feel tomorrow. :p

Janie: love the pictures that you posted on FB of Rolly. He is such a sweet pup. Before we know it you are going to be playing your guitar and singing all over the place. Glad you are sticking with the aerobic yoga for a while. Hope your feet gets all healed up soon. You've been dealing with this pesky problem for a while, haven't you? Wondering when Cathe is going to start filming her new workouts. She talked about them a little bit at the roadshow this summer, but she was noncommital on when filming would start. She clearly puts alot of planning and preparation into each new workout.

Hope to hear from some of our absent friends soon. Hi to Kathy, Cindy, Laura, and sister.

9-3-14

Here I am Michelle! Had a blast at the US Open. Extremely crowded & the weather was sweltering. Seats were definitely difficult. Lines were extremely long to get into the stadiums. We saw a doubles match w/Townsend & Young (US Team) who won, next up was a match between Simon (France) & Ferrerr (Spain). France won. We had some lunch & then went over to the practice court where we saw Roger Federer & Serena Williams. Serena was only a few feet in front of me. Saw her coach & her mother too. Next we saw Venus & Serena Williams play a doubles match. Of course the Williams sisters won. We left right after that match b/c the skies were getting black & the wind was whipping up. We took the LI Railroad to the stadiums. We were on the train when the skies opened up & it just poured with the thunder & lightning. By the time we made it to our destination the rain stopped & it was all clear again. I could just imagine all the people in the stadiums that had to rush to take cover. Oh my!

On Monday I did Lean Legs & Abs but unfortunately I must've done something to my back b/c it was hurting me after a particular exercise. I didn't stop b/c it wasn't hurting me too bad but after the workout quickly iced my back & took 2 Advils right away. Needless to say DH & I just relaxed.

Yesterday it was back to work & it was brutal after being away all week. Back was a little wonky but had gotten better as the day wore on. Today I'm all better. Thank goodness. Tonight will be BB Shoulders & the ab section from Lean Legs & Abs.

Michelle: I too cannot wait for you to get a new pup. Nov. 9th will be here before you know it; not that I want it to be cold mind you. I'll have to check out Cathe's new rotation after my BB rotation. I have 5 weeks left starting on Saturday with the Bulk phase. Enjoy your PureBarre class.

Janie Sis: Be careful of your foot on the sand at the beach. I wonder why its still giving you problems? Rolly is so cute & lovable! Glad you enjoy Aerobic Yoga. That's so cool that you performed before your Art Group. I'd be way too nervous to sing in front of people. I'd leave it for the shower. LOL Way to go.

Take care,
Kathy
