This certainly is a tragedy for his wife and young children, but his life was all about taking huge risks. I respect his work as a conservationist, but I have to say though that I lost all respect for his as a person when he held his own baby in front of a crocodile. Whenever I saw parts of his show it seemed that he was basically annoying and exploiting animals while pretending to be able to communicate with them. I thought he was nuts. I don't mean to be heartless, and I'm not celebrating his death or anything. But to me the bigger tragedy is the fact that so many deaths happen happen every day because of war, poverty, and disease. Why doesn't the news cover these tragedies as much as it does the unfortunate death of a famous daredevil? JMHO.
