CRACY, STRONG AND LOVING IT January 2016 - January 2020

Good Evening,

Well I was able to access the workout manager this morning but it’s gone tonight so I guess I will switch to KCM until I can get it to work. I did LIS Athletic Training Express Premix then went for a 1.25 mile walk before going to work.
 
No workout for me today, I was going to do a new treadmill workout I downloaded from Amazon - it's called Treadmill Coach Vol 1 by Amy Dixon and I listened to it Sunday night was was pumped up to do it. It really sounds as good as Cardio Coach - if that is possible. BUT... I woke up with migraine and just could not think about running. It was so bad I felt nauseous. It went away after about an hour or so but by then it was too late to workout because we had our day planned.

So looking forward to doing it in the morning!! I have Volume 1 and 2 and both sound hard but fun.

Poison ivy is about gone. 3 weeks tomorrow. I can't believe it lasted that long. But I am on the mend and it's almost all gone. Woo hoo!!!
 
Amy Dixon ROCKS!! I don't know who she is or where she came from, but damn. She is a great instructor.

So I did Treadmill Coach Vol 1 this morning and OMG!! What an incredible workout. Top notch, it rivals Cardio Coach hands down. It was hard but I did well with it, only having to rest a few times during some of it. I'm not an endurance runner, and this is endurance work. This is they type of training I need and want, so I really loved it. I can't wait to do Volume 2.

Honestly, though, I was shocked at how well I did with this. She has you you running up 4 and 8% inclines at sprint speeds at times. Breathless is a good word for this workout. Loved it!!!

I also have some incredible workout stats:

Workout was 56 minutes, went 4.11 miles (holy smokes!), burned 514 calories (TM said 581) and went 8185 steps!!!! HR was 154/206 and I believe that is correct. I don't think other than the warm up but that my HR went was ever under 154.

This morning I did Kelly's new Upper Body Super Sets. I haven't done this since December and think I've only done it once. It's a good workout, I was going to add on another 15 minutes with Body Design but decided this one was good as a stand alone.

Reverse Grip Press: 12's
Lateral Raise & Extend: 5's
3 sets/8 reps no rest

Pulse Curls: 12's
Pledges: 12's
3 sets/8 reps no rest

Seated Overhead Triceps Ext: 25#
Tate Press: 15's

Reverse Grip Bench Press: 15's (I did normal bench press, couldn't feel these in my chest)

BURNOUT WITH LIGHT DUMBBELLS

Run Rows but only 1 weight: 8# - 30 seconds (need to go heavier)

Had fun, loved this workout. Kelly is great at these 30 minute workouts, you really feel worked when you are done.

Workout was 30 minutes, burned 177 calories, HR was 120/149.

I also did the Ripped II Abs from Candace Grasso and this seemed way easy today. I remember when I first did this one it was a killer.

I also walked on my treadmill for a mile. Forgot to set my Fitbit so don't have stats to share.

Christi Taylor Totally Cool Step ( without the step :)) is done. Holly crap! Totally Cool step is tough! LOVE, LOVE her music. Glad I done it without the step. The first combo was tricky, the 2nd combo I got the hang of it. Lots of fun. Got 7000 steps with Christi, not bad.

Sorry for the lack of personals. I have a dental appointment (cleaning) today. Tomorrow I have another one for invisalign, she is doing the molding.

Good Evening,

I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes this morning before we went to the lake. The new grandson is doing great.
 
Today I did the other Amy Dixon workout, Treadmill Coach Volume 2. Holy god. This was hard. Especially Stage 3, (challenge 2 really) the Interval Repeater. This is how it went:

6% incline at a moderate exertion for 2 minutes, so I kept my speed at 4.3 mph. (or tried), then it goes up to 8% same speed for 1 minute, then it goes up to 12% for another minute, same speed. Talk about a killer. I got all the into the last 30 seconds of the 12% section and had to bring my incline down. That. was. HARD!!! This is repeated 3 times through. 2nd time I just walked it, 3rd time I jogged as much as I could. This is definitely not one I will be able to do all the way through any time soon. Love the challenge, though!!!

The first challenge was pretty hard as well, continually running up a 6% incline as you up your speed a little more at 3 min. increments. Very tough. The last challenge was a speed challenge at a 1% increase and I could do that no problem.

There was nice cool down and stretch at the end. This workout is top notch.

Workout was 60 minutes, went 4.09 miles, burned 481 calories (TM said 626) and went 8219 miles. HR was 138/208. So much fun!! I need to find more from her.

Nice workouts everyone!! Kicking butt!!

Debbie- WOW! Amy Dixon's Treadmill Coach Volume 2 sounds very tough and challenging. Treadmill Coach Volume 2 sounds like its a great challenging workout, and you did amazing. You logged 4.09 miles and burned major calories and no doubt got some major step counts in. That is awesome, bravo on today's workout your nailed it!!:):cool::D

Today I did Kelly's Build & Burn Lower Body Tabata and I really enjoyed it. My legs felt this one even though I didn't go heavy. Not sure I could have gone any heavier. Knees feel good lately, not sure what that's all about but I'm not complaining!!!

20 seconds on 10 seconds off. Each exercise was done about 4 times.

Banded Side Steps (Firewalkers) - Used green band
Kickstand Deads: 12's
Squat Variations: 12's
Side Lunge into Knee Pull: No weights
Front & Back Lunges: 12's
Split Stance Plyo Pops: No weights
Plie Variation: 12's
Wide Stance Deads & Squat Up: 12's (My favorites!!)
Bridges: No weights but this gave me a great burn

I did Low Impact Slide and Glide Express-Cardio-Abs and Stretch then I went for a walk outside for 30 minutes before it hit 100. I am getting new glasses today.

Debbie-good job today I like that Lower Body workout.

Hi everyone,

I am still on the Christi Taylor kick :) I did Pure Spice workout. I had a blast. The workout had 12 songs, without any instruction. I had not problem following Christi. I can't believe I haven't pull that one out before. Bought it years ago :( I am slow, lol.
