Bodybuilding/Sculpting check-in;-)

Yesterday I did Party Rockin Step 2 and doubles was PiYo Sculpt and this morning was KCM's Lean Body Circuits 1 & 2. LOVE it! It is very similar to her Circuit Burn which is one of my favorites of KCM's. However I will say I still like Circuit Burn better--but this is still an excellent and fun workout. I'm getting ready to start working some overtime again and I'm trying to decide how to get the most bang from my morning workouts since I can't do doubles while working OT. I am thinking a combination of RwH, Amy Bento's Slo-Mo and some of KCM's circuit workouts. And then of course Cathe will probably be my primary cardio workouts. Today is Day 1 of my 4 day weekend! I have longer workouts planned for the mornings of the rest of the long weekend--but I wanted to make sure I had my stamina/endurance back this morning and I did! So I guess the energy sap from giving blood only lasts about 2 days.
 
Today was arm day supersets.Tricep push down/barbell curl 3 sets x 8 each...Triceps extensions (dumbbells) with stability dumbbell curls 3 sets x 10 and crossbody tricep extensions with concentration curls x8-10 then I did 1 set of triceps pushups and isometric curls as finishers. Total 20 sets and about 40 minutes of FUN!!! Done for the week! Hope everyone has a GREAT Memorial Day weekend!!
 
Happy Memorial Day Weekend Ladies. I've been cruising forward this week with my blender rotation. Thursday was back, yesterday was biceps,and today will be shoulders. I will probably throw in a little extra cardio too since it's a holiday weekend. Hope everyone has a very happy and safe weekend!
 
Schedule change for today again so I did Powerstrike 6. Did I mention before how much I love this workout? Haha! Thanks, Jen, for your great review which talked me into getting it!
 
This morning was X10/X77--wore. me. out.!!! Yesterday I did Push Pull--the extreme premix with 2 sets of everything--awesome premix! Takes an intermediate workout to advanced! I also added on the bonus stability ball abs from Butts & Guts.

It's been a busy long weekend for me and it's not over yet. My daughter came in from out of town and is staying with us so we are eating terrible! But having fun! Hope everyone else is having a good weekend.

Jodi--I love those workouts and really need to start doing them again. I discovered the Rapid Fire workouts and have been focusing on them and Cathe's kickboxing workouts, but I really need to do some Ilaria workouts, too.

Today was a step mix party rocking#1and2 i love this workout. I had not done in a while so the turning
combo need more practising. It is strange that I can easily execute this combo on my right side but it
does require more thinking from my left!

After that I did some glute activation with a firewalker band#50, and 100 hip thrust.

How about the #1 party rocking. Can you do it without getting frustrated because of intricate choreography?

Tslop49: Your triceps must have been talking to you after performing triceps extension and cross body extension.
I love the cross body extension. In fact I love working triceps---Well I have learned to love working it!:p:p
I like to venture doing triceps developmental exercise. This makes me different!:eek::eek::eek:
I want my back arm to look decent:):p
How do you do your triceps push...on the toes?

Mary: Is there any improvement in the healing process?

Ladies I have read all your comments on slo mo. I think I will search for it on totalfitness and add it.

I have a squat rack/ cable pulley machine that you can load weights on to do lat pull downs and triceps push downs etc I love tri work too and like the super set complex with bis to allow some rest! I had to get comfie with crossbodies during std, but it really seems to isolate the Tris And yeah, when going heavy I am on my toes!!!

Hi Jen,

We must have posted our previous post within few minutes;-)

I am fine, I had an extra unscheduled day break. i am resuming my rotation now.
I still have more blood test to do for my allergy issue. My doctor is impressed with my weight loss.
She advised me to carry on with my fitness activities. We will work together to get me exactly where I want to be
"scalewise" She thinks I should not loose more than 10 pounds otherwise I would look too thin.
I do not want to. So next week I will head to hospital fasted for those tests.
After that I will go on a diet to readjust my nutrition.

Happy memorial day to you. It is Pentecôte holiday for us here too in France and Belgium.
Weather is great today. Sunny day.

triceps pull down on cable pulley machine feels great to me. It isolate triceps better.
I do not have all these stuff at home. The gym is calling me big time.:):):)
Same for cross body triceps extension. Combining machine and free weight is the best way to get into shape!

Triceps push up on toes...I can only do few of them. I have got work to builting up endurance on those:p:p
 
Today I did the Bar Method's Super Sculpting. This workout is deceiving! First, Bar Method and P57 are nothing alike. I don't know what some reviewers were thinking! The instructor is Burr Leonard, the founder of the Bar Method. Burr is an older woman, close to 70, and very soft-spoken, very different from P57's Tanya Becker. Burr is like working out with your super fit sweet grandmother, but don't let that fool you into thinking the workout is easy. Also, Bar Method is about small, precise movements mainly at a slower pace where as P57 is more dynamic and faster. Those small movements are killer! I'm feeling every muscle in my abs and legs right now. I'm looking forward to trying the other workout I purchased.
 
Today was Gym Style Chest & Triceps again. I also did two more short segments from Gorgeous Core. I guess I would classify them as beginner-intermediate.

I have some serious DOMS from yesterday's workout. I think I said "ouch" every time I sat down on the step during today's workout!
 
This morning was KCM's new Cardio Pump 1 & 2--actually, since #2 is the strength and #1 is the cardio boxing, I reversed the order--I did #2, then #1. I LOVED it. Another winner from KCM. I finished it off with Amy Bento's Kettlebell Dynamic's abdominal section. An 8 minute KB core segment that I didn't care for.

Jodi--that's the good pain! I love it when a workout hits the muscles so hard I can't sit! I would try some of these barre workouts you ladies are talking about but I have too many new-to-me workouts I need to get through first. And right now I really want to get through all my new Amy Bentos while spending more time with my Cathe and KCM workouts.

PiYo helped me build to tricep push ups on my toes. B4 I did PiYo I always had to do them on my knees--by the end of 60 days of PiYo (while also doing Body Beast and Weider Ruthless) I could do all of the tricep push ups in all of the PiYo workouts on my toes. It actually surprised me how strong PiYo made me.

Glad to heard you are doing better Nathalie and working with your doctor. What have you been doing to drop weight? And no, I don't do Party Rockin' Step #1. I did it once and I personally think it has the most complex choreography of any of Cathe's step workouts. And I hate complex choreography, so I don't bother with it anymore. I do love PRS #2 tho!

I had a busy but very good 4 day weekend. My oldest daughter came down to stay with us (she lives out of state) and my other daughter (in college and lives in another town) visited a lot too. But its over now, they are gone and it's back to work tomorrow. Unfortunately I think I might be getting sick. )o: Hope everyone else had a great long weekend!

Yesterday was back day. 3 sets of chin-ups x10 x8 x6. then 3 sets of lat pulldowns x 8 (increased weight) 3 sets of dumbbell pullovers x 10 (increased weight) 3 sets of dumbbell rows (increased weight) and 3 sets of deadlifts x5 x5 x6. I finished with 3 ab sets crunches: 1 x70 1 x 50 and seated leg lifts x35. Today is shoulders..still getting up the courage!!! Hope everyone has a great one !
 
Today I did Cardio Supersets, the premix which is the main workout plus the step bonus. Perfect choice for today! I wanted something that would work up a good sweat but not kill me. My leg DOMS have shifted from butt to my hamstrings and my chest and triceps are a bit sore. I've been doing a lot of moaning and groaning today!
