Ok, I just gotta say, I am sick and tired of committed, hard-working people being punished for their success

How is it that *someone* who has worked his behind off, can get voted off because "he can do it at home" and another, who sits there and whines about a 4-5 lb weight loss, and has already ruined his body 10 times over by becoming more than 200 lbs overweight in spite of gastric bypass gets to stay because "he needs it more"? That is just garbage.

I am not getting political here, but it is just like the mindset that people that don't take care of their money are bailed out, like, people that bought houses that they could never afford in the first place are getting reduced interest rates (like 4%!!) while the rest of us that bought within our means at 6% can't refinance to get that rate too.

Sorry, I was just so mad than Dane got voted off when he has worked really hard and EARNED the right to stay, but Ron, some whiney-pity-party guy, stays. Whatever happened to the concept of EXCELLENCE, of working hard for success and being rewarded for it?? Nope, others just get jealous and have to drag you down or eliminate you because you are a threat to them.

What is it with people? why is it that success is held in such low esteem today? I just don't get it.....

I totally understand your frustration. In watching the episode tonight I saw BOB's old team keeping themselves together, I don't think they ever really formed a bond with Dane and everyone felt they would hurt his feelings (i.e. Ron's feelings). Too bad they forgot they are in a game because Gillian's team is going to kick their butt. If it was not for Dane's numbers they probably would have been blown out of the gym.

I forsee in a decade or so that Personal responsibility will be a College Course. I mean I am no slim chick by any means but when I crossed the 200 lb mark and I was not pregnant, I said Hold On here Charlene, let's start taking care of this temple if you don't want it destroyed.

It is interesting to see how things will play out next week with Dane gone. 2 -3 weeks ago Bob was whispering to vote him off when he was on the other side but I am sure now he would have appreciated a strong force like Dane on his team.

Hope you have a successful week ;)

It will all come down to the finale -

....and I don't think Ron will do well in the end when they pass out the $$$$. Bad knees or no, he could be doing better. I'm sick of his excuses. He's right up there with Joelle in the annoying category.

I don't watch The Biggest Loser, but I just wanted to tell you that I COMPLETELY agree with you in principle. ;)

I agree with you. I just wanted to say though that what the other contestants said about Dane being able to do it at home and that's why they voted him off is complete BS. They voted him off because he was a threat and Ron is not. I wish they would just tell it like it is! They don't really care about anyone but themselves when it all comes down to it. They want to win the money and will always vote off the bigger threat.

I agree that Ron could and SHOULD be doing better than he is. He's a big guy and just should be dropping #s much faster than he is.

On a POSITIVE NOTE! I love this season's contestants. I'm rooting for Kristin...she's been growing on me more and more each week.

The one thing that DOES bother me is the 'advertising' Jillian and Bob do during the show.....Green Giant Steam Fresh Veggies or Ziploc! ENOUGH already!

LOL!! Every week I say to my husband "What product do you think they'll be endorsing this time?" Let's see, they've done Extra gum, Brita filters, Fiber One, & Cheerios I think.

And I agree, Ron should have been the one to go. Every week he uses his son as an excuse to gain sympathy.

ITA .. that was such a bad choice .. and Dayne deserved to stay and would have helped the team .. I have thought the entire time that Ron should really have never gone on the show ..man he has too many health issues .. and when the knee went he should have been SENT home then .. it is not fair to the others .. nor to him ... if you can not compete 100% you should not be on the show!!

and I may get flamed for this .. but Bob/MON night .. OMG .. WTH was he going on and on for . . crying acting like a huge baby .. I was screaming at the set "come on now .. suck it up already .. this is ridiculous" .. as a trainer he should have never put on such a display of emotions .. he should have said .. " look guys .. I know your upset .. but hey .. Jullian is a great trainer .. we both are here to give everyone the best training program we can and to push you to your limits .. you will be fine .. and my group will be fine .. I want you to go on and give it your all" ..instead of breaking down and crying .. I mean I know it is a show and all . but man I was embarrassed for him .. Jullian would have just told them .. SUCK IT UP .. and lets move on!!!

I am loving this year .. and I love the camarderie between everyone .. and I LOVED LOVED that one that stood his ground and said he had to go on .. he was not going to quit ..OMG .. that was just an awesome moment .. and he talked more like a trainer than Bob on the show .. WTG!!! LOTS of respect and kudos for him (forget his name) ...

Don't be upset. hardly anything on that show is real. They manioulate the trainers, contestants and audience. If you watch, do so with some sense of suspension of disbelief. Don't get emotionally involved in the show since the liklihood of what you're seeing being true is slim.

Jillian left the show over similar BS previously. It's gotten worse. Rumor has it Bob is planning to leave now. I can't say I blame him.

I totally agree! He's VERY VERY emotional all around this year, isn't he?

I also am getting tired of Ron using his son as his excuse to stay.

I have a feeling that Bob may be crying again next week when he realizes that he has lost his best chance to have the winner. I actually had to laugh a little because these past couple of years these changes always worked in Bob's favor yet Jillian has still managed to beat him. I don't know what is going to happen this season but it isn't looking too good for the blue team.

I don't watch BL - do the viewers vote people off, or the other contestants?

If it's the contestants who decide, then no wonder. Remember The Weakest Link? Players wanted to be smart but not TOO smart, or else their opponents would vote them off as the field narrowed and they were afraid of being beaten. So it was best to be "stealth smart" :) Works the same way in business, too.

Actually, they haven't. The only season Jillian truly won was season 1. But even that win was the result of heavy game play on Ryan's part.

Last season, Heba won the most weight of anyone. Yet she's out of the finals because "America" got to choose her fate. The season she came back, her team didn't even have to participate in the first weigh-in. Then their weight loss was calculated based on their starting weight, so they another opportunity to lose weight. This show has consistently made concessions to Jillian. Yet in the end, Bob's team members have kept the weight off at a far higher rate than Jillian's teams.

Both are excellent trainers, but since she came back this has become the Jillian show.

Don't forget Yoplait Light!

This is my first season. The plugs are incredible - I totally agree. It would seem more concrete if the suggestions were generic. At first, I thought it was just a product that was handy - now I know that is NOT the case. And I love Bob but even DD who is 9 was like, good grief - grow up and go train your people! Ron should go, go, go - he is holding his team back and I'm tired of him.

On the other hand - anybody notice what that girl (one of the sisters - yellow team) with feet on the bench and hands on med ball on the floor in a decline plank, then she did scissors with her legs/feet on and of the bench??? Holy cow...I'm going to try that one!

Yes...I did notice that! I thought WOW,im gonna have to try that:eek:

Yeah,i felt kinda bad too for Dane...he works his tail off and to be the first person on TBL history to lose 100lbs in 8weeks is staggering:eek:. I just wonder what its doing to his metablolism? It took me over a year to lose 90lbs...wouldn't that screw up his metabolism to lose weight that fast?

I also agree that Ron,with his health issues, shouldn't really be on the show to begin with:(...

My favorite contestant is one of the green team members(can't remember her name) but she's tough and is always winning the challenges. She really pushes herself and never gives up!
