Biggest Loser OUTRAGE--SPOILER!!

This season is certainly better than last, but the constant replays of the same footage and *commercials* are getting old!
What is up with Bob? I love him, but he was out of control with all the crying...good grief...no one died! Of course, I think they've all gotten pretty blubbery lately! (maybe Kleenex should have them run an ad!LOL!)
Interesting Heba update, I'm in SC and they are doing a casting call for the show and she is a spokesperson for it, BUT...they only show her from the shoulders up and I must say her neck and face look very rounded and much larger than the finale!
I guess the bottom line is if they are helping people change their lives for real, it's a good thing in the end! And lord knows..it is entertaining!;)

This season actually seems like one of the more tame ones to me. Past shows have had a lot more gameplay. Compared to Vicky and Heba from last season these constestants seem very nice. Vicki and Heba were just mean.

I do think there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff too. I am sure the trainers encourage the contestants to vote for certain people and tell them to drink water right before the weigh in if they have immunity that week, etc.

I like watching the show, but a lot of it isn't very realistic to me. Not the healthiest way to lose weight for sure. Working out for 10 hours a day just isn't going to happen when they go home. Athough if it helps people who have tried everything else and failed then that is a good thing.

Did anyone see Oprah a few monthes ago? She had contestants from past seasons on there. While ( i don't think) any of them gained all the weight back, most of them gained some of it back. I guess thats one disadvantage of losing the weight to quickly.

I love all of the contestants this year as well, especially now that Joelle is gone. Oh but Taras partner drives me crazy sometimes to...she likes to whine! And I like Ron as well but he needs to go! They made a bad choice as a team there....that was just dumb! They can forget about winning the next weigh in! I didn't realize Dane was so big until they showed the before pictures....guess I forgot.

I agree with everything you guys have said. I was yelling at my TV the other night, when Dane was voted off. Ron needs to GO!

And I agree that Seone (the one who refused to quit on the bicycle challenge) is great. He's my favorite and I'm rooting for him to win it all!

There is. There's farmore game play than people see. If you saw season 4, you might remember Jim. He was one of the twin brothers. He kicked butt that season and worked really hard. But he knew he couldn't slack off and fall below the yellow line because 3 of the black team ladies were going to vote him off the first chance they got. According to one of the contestants, Julie (one of the black team ladies) was the biggest game player than season. You never saw any of that on the show.

Both trainers have a rule not to vote off fellow team mates. They had to cut the deliberations short and keep the trainers out because the trainers kept interferring with the eliminations. This show is full of so much drama!

Everyone says Vicki and Heba were so mean, but I don't know that for sure. Besides the selective editing, they don't shoot 24/7. Anything could happen while the cameras aren't rolling. One year 2 of the contestants had an affair that broke up a marriage. None of that was ever aired. A former contestant told everyone what happened because she was so mad.

I'm kind of suspicious about Jillian's former team. Like, why did she kiss Aubrey on the lips? I've never seen her do that. Or what's up with Tara and Blaine and Dane? They all seemed a little too close.

Okaay, I'm officially way too obsessed with this show!!!

I know I'm a few days behind but I TVo TBL and then watch it while I run on the TM. Anyway--yes Ron should have gone. And what was up with Aubrey voting for Kristen? If she would have voted for Ron at least she would have forced a tie. My thing with that show is most of the people gain a huge portion of weight after they leave. It's almost like they are ONLY there for the money and not to change themselves for the better. Maybe the winner should have to keep a certain % of weight off for a year before they can get the check. That way they have learned to keep the weight off without working out 10-12 hrs a day. Now it has become a way of life for them. Isn't that what the show is about anyway?

I'm actually getting a bit weary of the show. . . . It does get repetitive.

And although it appears that everyone is nicer this time, they also don't seem very savvy. I mean - at this stage of the game, the best bet is to get rid of Ron so that the team can win the weigh-in. If they don't win the weigh-in, they will ALL LOSE. Later would have been the time to get Dane off if possible. There will always be that one week where the people who are doing really well, suddenly only lose a pound or two. I think the blue team just cost themselves a win. I am wondering where the brains are - oh - must be on the black team.

I was very impressed, at the beginning of this season, to hear Bob say that we shouldn't eat processed foods with high fructose corn syrup. However, I could bet money we will never hear that again. :p

I think Tara has an excellent chance at winning this season. Quite frankly, I wish they would stop the "couple" thing and just go back to individuals.

ALSO - an AFFAIR?? Two of them had an affair. WHO WAS IT???

And really - back to the post that started this whole thread - I am just confounded by how large everyone is getting. It just seems that there is a lot less personal responsibility these days for our lives, our health. I was watching the news this morning and a woman was complaining that fresh fruits and veggies were too expensive, so in order to feed her family, she had to take them to McDonalds and buy fast food all the time. That is AMAZING TO ME! First - they are not that expensive. The problem is that she hasn't taught her kids (or herself) to eat them, to not have to gorge at every meal, and to live within their means. I mean really - you can buy a bag of beans and a bag of rice and eat for VERY CHEAP. I have done it. . . . . It is cdst effective and healthy.

Okay - sorry if I sound judgmental. I AM judging harshly - but I just have trouble understanding this mindset.

ITA, and I don't think you are judgemental in the least! It kills me when I keep hearing "how expensive it is to eat healthy"! Excuse me, but you can buy several potatoes for $3.00 that will feed more people than a $3 bag of potato chips will! I'm a vegetarian, and beans and rice and veggies are CHEAP! Even if you add some meat and chicken, it's CHEAP, especially when compared to the $4 frozen jalapeno poppers or the $8 frozen pizza or the $6 frozen lasagne!

I HATE how the media keeps saying that healthy food is expensive food and fast food is cheap. It-is-NOT. That's media BS.

OMG I know I'm late on this, but I totally agree that Ron should have been voted off!!! However, I think it is AWESOME that Dane ran a marathon!! Holy cow, way to go Dane! I'm personally rooting for Tara to win the whole thing, I love her attitude.

And did anyone see the previews for next week? What do you think Jillian says/does that was "the meanest thing she's ever done"?!?

Oh, and I just love the shameless plugs, they crack me up. You know that has to be totally humiliating for the trainers, but they have to do it to get paid.

Late to the party here but I agree that Dane should have been able to stay and vote someone who isn't do much off. I am getting tired of all the people who tend to whine each week about something.

I thought it was funny the people from Bob's team who now have Jillian and how they complained about the switch but each of them lost a ton of weight. I would love to lose that each week but I know that isn't good for me.
