Aug. RT Travelers check in here!

Like at the July RT, our departing weather sucked as well. Just checking in with all you drivers to see that you made it safely. I went through an awful hail storm and have chips all over my car (just re-checked the car and it's not too bad, just a little dent on my hood). My windshield is still in one piece though (which was my primary concern while driving). Just walked in the door and kissed the ground. Hope you all made it home safe!!! I had an AWESOME time seeing everyone!!! This was the best RT for me so far. :)

Hey Ladies,

I got home just before 1 pm and promptly took a nap! LOL I slept for about 30 minutes and should now be human enough to survive the rest of the day. I am washing my work out clothes from the weekend but perhaps *burning* them would be a better option!:p:D

Liann: A hail storm? Wow, sorry you had to endure that. I got stuck in the thunderstorm in the south jersey area but thankfully I drove out of it's path pretty quickly so MOST of the ride was pleasant. We ARE expected to get the storms in my area today too though.

Hi all. I am home safely but sooo tuckered out. I can't imagine how tired I'd be if I'd had to travel by plane. I think I might go take a little rest while my 3-year old naps, so I'll be back on later.

Naps all around today! I showed up my new Cathe goods to the fam and then hopped into bed for a snooze. Now, I'm off to tackle the laundry.

Thanks everyone for a blast!

Ok, I wasn't at the Aug. RT and I haven't even left the house today (nevermind travelled) but I'm DYING to know who won the weighted vest!!!

I'm so freakin' jealous of the person who won it at the July RT. Did anyone from the forums win it this past weekend?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?

After dropping off a few ladies at the airport, I came home and immediately fell asleep on the sofa...a much needed nap!;) I was awoken at 3:15 pm by some major thundering and rumbling coming from up above.

I'm fairly close to the airport. I wondered if any of the flights for these ladies were cancelled or delayed.

I hope Leanne, Kara, Peggie, Jaque, Bonnie, Susan and Sharon, as well as many other RTers get home safely and on time. :)

Home!

Hi Everyone!

Patti and I made it home in just under 4 hours. We did run into a severe thunderstorm that brought thruway traffic to a crawl, but we made it home safe and sound :)

Thanks for starting this thread Liann!

Hey everyone,
I made it home finally. I did get stuck outside of Philly in the pouring rain for about an hour, though. They kept flashing weather bulletins in the radio about seeking shelter immediately. I wonder if anyone got stuck at the airport. Anyway, I had great time!!!! I am glad everyone has made it home safely so far.

Liann-That totally stinks about your car. They kept talking about hail on the radio.

Hey Everyone

Like many people I drove home through some stormy weather that made it more difficult to drive but got home ok. I babbled to my family about the RT for a while and they did a good job of pretending to be interested. Then I threw all my stinky clothing in the washing machine. I plan to veg for the rest of the day and go to bed early tonight.

Greetings everyone!
I had a great time and made it home in 4 hours which for the D.C. area is record timing. I95 hit grid lock as usual about 30 miles or so from my house. Weather for me was sunny and clear. It began raining about 5pm or so, but I was home by 12:30pm and feeling fine. I haven't napped yet. I am still energized from the time away. It was fun!

I made it back to Virginia ok too, after hitting the same rotten I-95 traffic at Springfield.
As soon as I left the airport, it dropped BUCKETS of rain, but thankfully I was driving towards where it was sunny! I had a fun time this weekend, a great roommate :D, and can't beleive I worked out 3 hours in one day!!

We'll give you a hint -- she lives in NC, she's a newylwed, and hopefully she's not stuck in the airport!!

I don't envy those of you who have flights and long drives. It's still storming here in Philly, with hail in the 'burbs.

hi guys!!! maqde it home. believe it or not, my flight was not delayed! :D i miss everyone already. i had SO MUCH fun!!! boy, i better get some sleep tonight. the kids start tomorrow.

"I hope Wilson made it home a-okay. It might be kinda hard to see over the steering wheel"

LMAO!!!

My flight was delayed for an hour. Not too bad except I was on the plane the whole time it was delayed  But then again an hour wasn't to bad!!

Beavs ROTFLMAO at the Wilson comment!!!

Glad to see my peeps peeping in.

Yeah, and now I can totally picture Wilson peering over her steering wheel--the fun of meeting in person is having these mental pictures later. ;)

Coordinator's Travel Woes...

Hey Gals,
Thought I'd let you know that it's 9:45 ET and our wonderful Coordinators are just getting out of PHL. Through the pouring rain, hail storm, and flash flooding on N Delsea - Kathy's plane has taken off, Deb is boarding now and poor Lorrayne has been boarded-sitting in her plane from 5ish -they are actually having to refuel her plane...

Let them know you're thinking of them (they had travel issues in July as well...) They worked so hard during both RT's and loved every minute - show them your love and support, OKAY!!!
