Feeling pretty lazy today...maybe my body is telling me something....
Anyways, my neck hurt wicked bad right at base of skull Friday, DS (both) seems concerned but yet probably think I'm a wimp since surgery was over 1 yr ago. I figured that I didn't keep track of where my head was when I was cleaning my sister's windows and putting together the pilates machine at her house. I'm sure lifting UB on Thurs night didn't help. I ended up fri afternoon, just laying in bed hoping for sleep to be away from 'it all'. I did succeed in a 2 hr nap I think. I've found sleeping on back may be problem, even with flat pillow so made sure when I was falling asleep while reading that I rolled to my side. friday night hit the valiuum for more relief. Sat took only a 2 mile dog walk and did 45 easy pilates. I was soooo tired, went to lay down and after 5 min of reading decided to roll over to see about sleep, slept for 3 hrs! I woke up thinking it was the next morning! I missed all my step/mile/calorie/very active mins goals on the fitbit and still went to bed early and slept another 7 hrs. sunday morn, neck feeling stiff (and Lisa getting frustrated), but not as bad, more normal like. Decided I just need a day off from everything. I did read on some forums that these sub-occtipital muscles are typical to be sore with forward head motions....lots of bike riders end up with more upright bars (another reason I don't use my spin bike). I sure hope this is better before the RT! I'm not good at limiting myself!
Jody, what the heck with work? Hope you find something more permanent soon! I'm having stand off with scale, i KNOW I need to crack down on my eating again. I'm putting it off until after KS trip (it should be this week as movers HAVE to have the stuff there by Thurs at the latest, but last word was they are still looking for loads to add it to going that way, will get back to us Monday, grrrr). I know I'll eat bad on a car trip.
Mary, that is frustarting and i know all about that! Hope it helps to moan here (it does me). Reading thru the mountain bike forums of people with this surgery I had, I'm more convinced to leave out the impact for life. Not worth risking my other discs as some on there have! Even on computer I can feel it---either need a better screen setup, or stay off computer...I'm opting for latter, good thing I'm not working
