    Anyone else use StretchMax

I was interested to know what people who use Stretch Max think of it? I LOVE the stability ball segment and have been doing one segment at least 3 times a week. I've also noticed that the 1st segment and the band segment also stretch my body in ways I never felt before with all my years of the...

Negative comments I've heard about Cathe workouts

"The original post explicitly stated she did NOT want to spark a debate. She clearly asked for COMMENTS: positive or negative. She wanted to hear our true feelings. She was looking for information...that's what people do...look for information. If anything, the inquiry came across as a way to...

HELP--I feel lunges more in the non-working leg!

AmyG: "I'm betting the forward lunges are easier because you aren't getting as much lactic acid built up in the muscles and as you move in a forward motion, your body weight automatically continues in that motion- and more weight rests on the front foot" Wow...that makes so much sense...

Not enough lower body work in Muscle Max?

oh yeah...I forgot about the plie squats....probably because I did not do many of them!!!!!!!!!!!! I just could only do so many. It's good to hear the rationale behind the ratio of upper work to lower work. I trust Cathe and the workouts...I just like to know the reasons for things, because it...

Negative comments I've heard about Cathe workouts

In terms of the "hardness," I have started out Cathe with no more than 5 lb weights in each hand. I know it sounds low, but when I first started the Firm, I went gung ho because I had been working out in a gym for a year....and I got injured after workout #2 and was out of commission for a...

Negative comments I've heard about Cathe workouts

Kathy G: "I’m really scratching my head over the original posters intention. She posted a thread over at the other site looking for ammunition to bring over here to stir the pot. Why?….it’s apparent she’s formed her own opinion already so why is she looking to other people to non-validate...

Negative comments I've heard about Cathe workouts

meganmm: "The OP started a topic at another forum asking for honest "criticism" of Cathe, then comes here to complain about bashing at other forums. Scratching my head over this one...." You might want to go back and re-read my contributions to the discussion on this board. Then perhaps you...

    Faithnveggies/Jody: Question for you

Thanks for sharing Jody! It helps a lot especially to read the parts about the exercise, because it shows me that I really have to come out of my comfort zone to get to the body look I want. And I want to be moving when I am 80 as well! :-) But I don't want to overkill right now, as I am just...

Negative comments I've heard about Cathe workouts

"they don't begin to have the same defintion of boring as I do" I know...when I first previewed Low Max, I THOUGHT the blasts LOOKED monotonous....and then when I actually DID them, I was so surprised at how much I liked them .... not because they were glamorous, turbo-hop-jam-booty-bean-pink...

Negative comments I've heard about Cathe workouts

I hope this post does not come off as disrespectful to Cathe...if anything, I am seeking to give an opportunity to stand up for Cathe, so I was just curious to know what ya'lls opinions are about this: I've seen negative comments about Cathe's workouts scattered here and there across other...

HELP--I feel lunges more in the non-working leg!

Thanks for the tips...I will def try out the weight shift next time, and if that does not work, I'll put the back leg up on the step. Any thoughts on using a balancing stick? Will that hurt results? Also, is there a difference between static and forward lunges? Because I too have a much...

    Faithnveggies/Jody: Question for you

Saw your picture trail! Incredible! Your latest picture is what I am striving for, and I'm about at your June 2006 photo (just a lower weight, but same in terms of being at the point where it's about getting the final fat layers off to reveal the muscles---and I'm also setting a goal of...

Not enough lower body work in Muscle Max?

I noticed that Muscle Max has just 3 lower body segments (squats, static lunges, and leg presses), and the rest is all upper body, and then of course the abs. Is this OK? Is there a reason there is not much lower body work? Am I getting an appropriate lower body workout with Muscle Max?

HELP--I feel lunges more in the non-working leg!

I've always had this thing where I feel static lunges more in the non-working, back leg. (It's not so bad with forward lunges). I've been told that it's because my quads are not stretched enough. I also play around with the distance between my front and back leg, but that does not seem to help...

What yoga DVDs do you do?

I'm thinking Cathe does not come out with Yoga videos. So was wondering what yoga workouts people do? And do a lot of you incorporate yoga into your workout schedule? I mostly do the Gaiam DVDs and love the ones especially by Suzanne Deason ... I just wish they made more 20 min workouts, vs...

Who else feels like crud when they don't exercise???!!

"If I have to re-arrange my schedule, I amuse people with how hyper I am! (or, I imagine, possibly annoy, too!)" No kidding! If like a last minute social event gets plannned, or an unexpected phone call starts to cut into my scheduled workout time, I panic! Like I seriously start to get in a...
