Getting back on track after operation

Hi all!!! A little more than a month ago I had a quite serious operation (with a 10% chance of success) when my colon erupted. Luckily I survived (with a colostomy which I have to keep for 3-4 months, before going back on the table to have it removed). The doctors said I have a very strong body...

Ripped With HiiT/XTrain/Low Impact Series Cocktail

[Edited] Hi all! I just created this rotation with the undulating approach in mind. Tried to add these notes to the rotation itself but they didn't seem to save. Anyways, this rotation is made up of one week body splitting at 10 reps, one week at 12 reps and one week at 16 reps, followed by...

Workout Blender and OS X 10.9 (Mavericks)

Happy New Year, I'm running Yosemite, followed the instructions of completely removing Workout Blender and re-installing it, but workouts do not get imported. I can drag and drop them, then the pop up window comes up saying it is importing the file but after 12 hours it is still there but no...

Problem adding the core workouts to premixes

Thanks, Curt. I did notice that while preparing the premix, WB takes too long for some parts and works very fast on others (e.g. going from 10% to 60% might take almost 30'-45' and just a few minutes to go from 60% to 100%). Christos

Problem adding the core workouts to premixes

I managed to create the premix for BURN SETS Premix 2 Bi's & Tri's + Core #1, the core segment was correctly inserted before the stretch, but the aspect ratio was distorted. I'm using the latest version of WM, on a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.8.2. I am attaching a snapshot of the Bi's & Tri's...

Moving to NY (from Athens, Greece... yes, a big step I know!!!)

I'll have to rent a flat share... So no workout room I'm afraid... Also I can't afford taking all those weights with me or buy new ones. Besides I'll be coming home once a month or so, so I'll be able to catch up with Cathe.

Moving to NY (from Athens, Greece... yes, a big step I know!!!)

It's official... I'm moving to London at the end of August, starting work for the London 2012 Olympic Games Organizing Committee in the Accreditation Department. I am really excited even with all the fuss of relocating! Greece is going through a really steep financial decline right now and I am...

Moving to NY (from Athens, Greece... yes, a big step I know!!!)

Change of plans... Wish me luck!!! Great news! I was just hired to work for the Special Olympics Organizing Commitee here in Athens for the next 4 months. And on top of that I applied for a job for the London 2012 Olympic Games. I'm waiting for a positive response from London, and here's where...

    Extreme Urban Rebounding

I bought the quad-fold Reboundair a few years back. It's sturdy and bulky and you can fold it in 4 so it doesn't take up too much space. I recall it being a bit pricey, though...

    Extreme Urban Rebounding

Hi all! Thought I might offer my 2c here... 1. If you wear the wrong shoe and are an over-pronator, rebounding might give you IT band syndrome (I learned it the hard way, am an over-pronator AND wore jogging shoes on my rebounder) so be careful. 2. Rebounding does wonders to your...

Moving to NY (from Athens, Greece... yes, a big step I know!!!)

Thanks for your advice! I just checked online for apartments around Broadway and found a few (starting at $1200 which is quite reasonable). It's a bit soon but I like to keep things under control early on. Chris.

Moving to NY (from Athens, Greece... yes, a big step I know!!!)

Linda, yes, I will definitely visit Cathe's studio - although I really wanted to go to the Florida road trip... oh, well... Regina, that's cool! I heard the best things about Tisch... hope they accept me! One thing I learned while travelling abroad (and spending months studying in Leeds, UK)...

Moving to NY (from Athens, Greece... yes, a big step I know!!!)

Thanks! I still can't believe the wheels are turning towards this direction! It's exciting AND scary!!! Athens, the part I'm living in anyways, is so laid back and relaxed, that the hectic life of NY will sure make a difference... And going back to school... phew!!! Got to gather all my...

Moving to NY (from Athens, Greece... yes, a big step I know!!!)

Hi all! I have finally made the big decision to apply for a second M.A. in Cinema Studies at Tisch. Age doesn't matter when you feel the urge to further your education, right? Anyways, I know the process is going to be long with all the paperwork I need to collect. That is one part of the...

    Barbell or Curl Bar?

Happy shopping!!! You won't regret it. Getting the equipment for your workouts is the next best investment (the first is buying the DVDs!!!). Using the correct equipment will make your workouts run smoother and more comfortable, won't take your mind off proper form and will give you the results...

    Barbell or Curl Bar?

Yes, the way your hands will hold the curl bar will put your wrists in a slanted position. You won't be able to hold a thumb-less grip, push with the whole of your palm and keep your wrists vertical. The curl bar is perfect for biceps, pullovers and lying tricep extensions, though. The only...

    Barbell or Curl Bar?

I'm afraid you won't be able to do the overhead shoulder presses with the curl bar. And, yes, the clamps will work fine with your curl bar. One other thing I forgot to mention before is the time you save when you have both bars (straight and curl) loaded and ready for your workout, You won't...
