i am debating but i love running so much that i think i will be conservative with our finances and skip it for now. i know myself and will always choose to run over other cardio, so the expense for me personally isn't worth it. i will run in any weather!
you don't need to eat more than your body needs, you just need to eat the right kinds of calories - lean protein, fresh veggies, whole grains. no more or less than what your body needs.
either tom venuto's book that clare or others recommend, and i also like muscle chow by uber-hottie greg...
i am definitely doing STS again after i finish this M3.. i love love love STS! I may play around with the rotations and do M3, then M2, then M1. or mix 'em up and doing M1 week 1, then M2 week 2, etc.. so many ways to change up the rotations!
in my opinion... most people do not need protein powder. if you eat a normal balanced clean diet, you will get enough protein from food.
if you are a vegan who doesn't eat enough protein-rich food, perhaps you might supplement with protein powder. or bodybuilders who require more protein...
i agree with this. they are "ok" in my opinion. i wish they would fit better, especially over my lifting gloves (the weighted gloves have no palms). i also wish they each were 2 lbs, as the package implies. but, oh well.
this might help..

i like her little "core power" plank circut on comcast on demand -- although i don't understand why they call it "4 minutes" when the circuit itself is only 1 1/2 minutes long. comcast counts the ads in the beginning - lame!
the plank circuit it great. you hold a normal plank for 5 seconds...
i eat breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner. my 2 snacks are almost always nonfat plain yogurt & berries or cottage cheese & berries.
la tortillas rule!
i'm a runner and weightlifter. if it were me personally, i'd ditch the "other cardio" and run instead. but that's because i love running more than anything, and especially more than other cardio :)
for me personally, it doesn't matter whether i do legs on the same or different days as...
i got scared off of soy when i was pregnant with our son in 2007 -- my ob/gyn told me to avoid it because i was carrying a boy and there are concerns about the levels of natural estrogens in soy and the effects on male fetuses. she also told me to avoid it while breastfeeding. once i weened our...
i personally would let my shoulders rest another day.. you won't lose any fitness and your shoulders will thank you. think of it as an investment in your long term fitness. a shoulder injury will set you back for weeks or even months.
good luck!
hey shannon, i like the morningstar farms new asian veggie pattie: 100 calories, 7 gms protein, 4 gms fat, 10 gms carbs, 2 gms fiber and really good flavor. i put one on a 1/2 of a whole wheat pita (i like sara lee's mr. pita because a whole one is only 80 calories and 3 grms protein) for a 140...
lol.. i'm not saying anything bad about the guys, just wondering why often they choose lighter weights than cathe or the other women.. makes sense if they aren't looking to build muscle, rather to increase endurance, but still sometimes their weights seems so light for guys..
wow you are getting really technical! i've run a lotta races and never once measured my heart rate. but i train to run fast races, not for fat loss. i would just try to run the 3.1 miles without stopping and then each week try to run faster and beat my time.
