So excited...order placed - anyone else?

Just ordered. Can't wait. Be a great way for me to ease into retirement. I retire the end of this year and what better way to do it than jump into working out to a brand new series. More stretching, bonus weight dvd, I'm stoked! Looks like she took a lot of suggestions into consideration...

    ICE 2...Who's In?

YES YES YES!!! Metabolic workout - definitely. Muscle Melts combine in a workout or have premixes. Love love the 30ish minute premixes in ICE. More of those please.

    November 2016 rotation

I'd say any of her circuit workouts will work as a good sub. XTrain Supercuts is one I'd recommend as it hits all the body parts and has cardio as well. The only difference between it and ICE BC is ICE BC has rounds of a cardio-lower body-upper body-core. Supercuts isn't broken down like that...

    November 2016 rotation

I'm just the oppositie. Gave away my S&H because I didn't care for it at all. I have On Demand but will probably sub in a different series that week - LIS or ICE. She sure has enough series to choose from. I'm loving her series and the way she formats them a lot.

Strong & Sweaty Series Question for Admin

So happy to hear this. Love love Cathe's bonus add-ons especially the separate core ones. Just did Core #2 this morning off XTrain. It's nice to be able to pop in a quick 10 minute core work and my gosh feel like you worked out! Her core works are challenging but I love them.

Strong & Sweaty BootCamp Makes Time Fly

She does something like this in one of her series, can't remember which one and like you I have to modify. So one modification you can consider doing is to do them draped over your stability ball. That's what I do and it takes the pressure off the shoulders and while not as intense you still...

Cycling using the Strong and Sweaty Series

I am going to chime in and say, I recently started using Cathe's cycle workouts on my recumbent bike and my upright bike and although not the same intensity or equipment, I was able to increase/decrease with Cathe and get in a dripping sweat workout. So, while they weren't designed to be used...

Strong & Sweaty BootCamp: You Can Do Anything for a Minute

I think she might have meant core too Clare. That would make more sense as that is what she normally does in her BC workouts. Not unless she's doing something new.

    X Train and RWH

This is a very good description of the differences Jodi.

Has Anyone Modified STS and only done 2 Workouts per week?

I like this idea as I'm considering starting an STS rotation in Aug and really only want to do the upper body workouts from them and do my own legs. I have cardio covered on my own with walking challenges and elliptical. This is a good idea and I think I'll try it this way - skip the legs and...

Wondering about a new series this year?

This is an awesome idea!!! I'd jump on this DVD or DVDs in a heartbeat. Not too keen on the tower. It's not grabbing me like her other series do. So, I think I'll wait and see what happens.

Question about barbells and weights used

I did however, break down and buy a few body bars to use when I just don't feel like messing with the barbell. I bought a 10-12-15# body bar and find them a lot more convenient to use sometimes than that barbell.

Question about barbells and weights used

I must have the same type barbell as you Daffy because mine weighs 15#. I suggest doing the one rep max to determine the weight you can lift. I never did the one rep max and just put on weight I could lift until I felt it was too much or I couldn't lift it, pretty much listening to my body.

    Ice rotation question

If you're concerned about doing the upper body workouts back to back, my understanding from Cathe is that they were designed as a one body part per day and can be done back to back. However; the caveat is to also listen to your body and go by how it feels. I did the MMs back to back all last...

ICE Blizzard Blasts and Muscle Meltdowns

I agree. Man how I wish she had put out a disc with just the MMs and premixes on it. I love how she did the MMs workouts. They are straight forward and challenging with little weight. Almost like a scaled down version of STS.

    Muscle Meltdown DVD

Would absolutely love a separate DVD with all the muscle meltdowns on it and some of your awesome premixes. I absolutely love the MMs but wish wish they were on a disc of their own.

    Senior Fitness DVD

I understand you did a Live class like this and I'd love a DVD like this. This is great for people recovering from injuries or on those blah days when you want to do something but don't want to go at your usual intensity yet want to feel like you did something.

Success!!! A whole year of Cathe workouts without missing a single day!

Love this strategy as I hate hate pushups and only do them against the wall of stairs. I'm going to try your strategy and see if I can't build up to doing them on my toes like you. Good job.

"Senior Fitness Class" was "just right" !

Sounds like a great workout for those blah days. Now that's a DVD she should publish. I'd jump on that in a heartbeat. As well as the Muscle Melts all on one dvd.

ICE Rotation --- Level 3 one body part + Cardio

You more generous than me. I wouldn't lend anyone any of my Cathes. They are so precious to me. I hope she's a good firned who takes care of other people's stuff. I'm just saying.
