    Substitute for Low Impact Circuit?

Just thinking ahead to the intermediate rotation...what would be a substitute for Low Impact Circuit as I don't have this one yet. Not Cardio and Weights because that is already in the intermediate rotation. I was thinking maybe Circuit Max but I think there's not enough upper body work...

Dailey Check in Tues March 10

Hi all. I was tired yesterday, so didn't work out. Still feeling under par, but did yesterdays and todays workouts (beginner's rotation) ie, basic step + upper add-on + basic stretch. Shaz

    Daily Check-in Sunday 3-11

Morning Jane and everyone (its actually nearly noon for me in the UK). Today is only the second day of the official beginners rotation and its a day off! I'm feeling the step/lower body add-on from yesterday which shows how unconditioned I am. Its lovely and sunny here, so I've enjoyed a...

    Daily Check-in IT'S SATURDAY 3-10

I'm glad I found this check-in! I haven't posted very much here in ages. I've haven't been very consistent with exericse of late, so I started today with Cathe's official beginner rotation (basic step plus lower add-on). I enjoyed it very much and it was just what I needed to get back into...

Has anyone tried almond nut butter and cashew nut butter? They are really good, and full of nutrients! :-)

    Faux CTX using S&H

I thought I'd share my own faux CTX rotation using S&H and various cardio workouts. I love CTX and really hope that Cathe makes another series like this. I've tried to follow the format of Cathe's CTX as much as possible. Of course, instead of S&H, any other weights workouts could be used, eg...

Butts and Guts and lower back

Thanks for the replies. Still in two minds about buying Butts and Guts, but will give it some more thought. I've just bought and previewed Cardio Fusion (will try today), and its making me want to buy the rest of the series!

Butts and Guts and lower back

To those of you who have the Butts and Gutts workout, how do you find the floor work on your lower back? I find that the kneeling on all fours type butt exercises and too much kickbox-type kicking (eg in Power Half Hour) give me a sore lower back. I also experienced the same in a Legs Bums and...

    Oatmeal

Another idea for changing the flavour of oatmeal is to add apple sauce and cinnamon. I peel, chop, microwave then mash an apple with some cinnamon. Also, I sometimes use almond milk and add a spoonful of soya yoghurt. Yum.

    Cathe Rotations?

Regarding overtraining, I'm no expert, but I think its wise to take a full day off from working out each week. If you feel particularly tired or sore, just take an extra day off and start back the next day (or do light cardio/stretch/yoga). Also, eat regular healthy meals/snacks and make sure...

    FAQs?

Cathe or SNM, I wondered if you would consider putting a fixed post containing answers to some frequently asked questions (FAQs). For example, questions like "what is clean eating?" and "how should exercise be modified during pregnancy?" I'm sure there are lots more... Just a thought :-)

pushups on cardio & weights dvd

Not Cathe, but I've found that one way to increase pushup strength is to use the stability ball. Do pushups with your hands on the floor and thighs across the ball (legs are straight). Over time, move your hands away from the ball until just your ankles are resting on the ball. By this time, you...

    Cathe - yoga DVD?

Hi Cathe, I remember you mentioning some time ago about the possibility of creating a yoga workout, and wondered if that was still a possible plan for the future? Wishing you a speedy recovery!:-)
