    Biking and lifting...again

Hi CinDee, I haven't been spinning for a while now, but did a lot last year before a race. I really backed off on exclusive leg workouts beyond the spinning and found that I had very decent results for the race and another long ride for Hospice. I am not a big leg person, so I didn't want to...

    Steps in new DVDs

Hi Cathe, You may have answered this, but here goes: Which steps are OK to use in the new beg/int DVDs? The Step one shows the long step, the Body Fusion a slightly shorter one. If I am a long time 'user' :-) is it safe to pick and choose? For Body Fusion I was thinking the high step would...

    I won't be receiving a Cathe Mug :(

Same here, I LIVE in NC so felt it was only right, though DD thought I was mad! I had fun going crazy with the thought of getting a mug. My DD was amazed at how much I knew about the game, but then I explained my many years (continuing) as a 49er fan. I kept saying "Joe could have scored in two...

    Mini Step Question...

If I am 5'9" and have six risers, is this adequate? I noticed when I used it for the first time that you, Cathe, have six as well. I must say it was plenty difficult! My husband assures me that height does not matter that much (i.e. leg length will not necessarily be as different as you might...

    PLB:What am I doing wrong?

Hi Cathe, Yesterday when I did PLB, I had real trouble with the stability ball. I am starting to get used to the ball in general, but I don't think I'm doing the exercises correctly. During the first ball exercise when you put one heel on the ball and the other leg in the air, what should be...

    Success has many faces...

Yep, we live in Mayberry...Andy doesn't visit often but he did come last year when a highway was named for him. It's a nice, small, southern town where we Californians have made a good life for ourselves... And, yes, the break room is always a challenge, especially when they see the healthy...

    Success has many faces...

As I think about success, it doesn't start with fitness, but fitness is a part of all of who I am: Wife for (almost) 25 years: From the beginning we have made staying in shape, eating well, and nuturing our spiritual lives as top priorities. I have been blessed to find a life partner...

Crunches w/ Med Ball in BC & ME

Thanks, Cathe. I've been doing your workouts since 1999, but this is the first time they've really paid attention. Oh, and they got a good laugh out of Brenda doing her crunches with an imaginary ball. Humor is healthy too!

Pure Strength or Slow and Heavy

I am not much in to weights but have really enjoyed Slow & Heavey. I have the Pure Strength as well, but have not returned to those in a while. S & H is great because you really do focus on one body part for an extended time. I have found this easier than some of the endurance workouts.
