Problems with PowerStrike with Ilaria Montagnani DVD?

I just purchased this kickbox dvd and it's great for a beginner like me. It seems to me that the dvd isn't chaptered correctly (if at all), so it's difficult to determine where the workouts actually begin (vs. the warm up, etc). There doesn't seem to be a top menu to choose the chapters. Has...

    HELP WITH EATING DISORDER

Can your therapist refer you to a dietitian or a healthcare profressional who is experienced with eating disorders? They may be able to help you put together a nutrition/exercise plan, beyond what a magazine or the internet can provide. Have you seen www.somethingfishy.org for additional...

    Spreadsheet with Cathe's Workouts?

I've seen a few posts here recently about a spreadsheet with all of Cathe's workouts broken down. Is there an updated copy available somewhere? If so, please let me know. I could probably post it out on the web somewhere so that everyone could access it. Cheers.

    Jillian Michaels....cardio kickbox.....any good?

Amy, I'm new to Kickboxing and I got PowerStrike with Ilaria Montagnani and Kathy Smith's Cardio Knockout from Collage. These are both excellent beginner workouts and a great lead into Cathe's more advanced workouts.

    Udo's Choice

    >> Also, it loses its potency when heated, so >>you can't use it in baking. > >I've never heard that. I do think it's better raw, fresh >ground, but I don't think it loses all it's potency when used >in baked goods. > >It definitely should not be used for stir-frying or directly...

Can you create a rotation for me?

Look through the list of rotations. Find one that emphasizes fat loss and with, maybe, some muscle endurance. But you've said your emphasize is on fat loss, so focus on that for now. Look at the rotation "generically" to see how it's constructed. For example, references to step or...

    BFFM questions...

Personally, that's why I love circuit training. You get a great cardio work out and the benefits of weights. Try something like Cathe's Bootcamp -- it's terrific. It definitely works me harder than step work outs. I also train with heavy weights as well to build strength. And I also do...

    Udo's Choice

Personally, I use flax seed (ground up and put in food) to get my Omega 3s. I know Udo's Choice also has Omega 6s, but you already get enough of those in other food. Flax seed is more economical than the oil and you can add it to all sorts of food. It has to be refrigerated and then ground...

    BFFM questions...

You actually have to go into a calorie surplus to gain muscle. Obviously with fat loss, you'll have to have a calorie deficit. Using weights while losing fat is to maintain whatever muscle mass you currently have, not to gain muscle. (I have the BFFM book as well). So do the weight...

    Eating clean, feeling fatigued

My blood pressure runs low as well. That's a good thing though, because lower blood pressure is highly positively correlated with longevity, even more so than a low pulse rate. Yes, get more starchy carbs (brown rice, grains, yams, etc.) and also make sure you are well hydrated. We have the...

Question for all the elliptical users...

Personally, I get a better cardio workout with the elliptical than with any of Cathe's dvds, except maybe the circuit ones. You could easily substitute the elliptical for any of Cathe's kickboxing or stepping workouts and have a better cardio and fat loss effect. I find my heart rate gets much...
