I just purchased this and before I open it was wondering if anybody has tried it,does she have good form? what would you rate it as(begginer/inter/advanced)just curious!

I've never done any type of kickboxing in my life,I'am purchasing KPC very soon(so excited),is jillian micheals a good instructor?

Thanks
Amy:)

I heard that it's all drills and if you omit warm-up and cooldown, only about 20 minutes of actual workout time. Maybe good for an add-on?

Maybe someone else will chime in.

www.collagevideo.com has a clip up. The description of the workout is pretty much "30 front kicks, short rest, 20 lunges, short rest" etc. Hard to tell from a clip, but she seems to shout her instruction. If you like a tough 'bootcampy' instructor feel, it might be fine. The total workout (including warm-up and cooldown) is only 25 minutes.

You might want to do some other kickboxing before trying KPC, which is advanced (and a very good workout! One of my fave kb workouts). Something like Powerstrike Millenium III gives good instruction, and builds in intensity, including a lot of drill-type moves in the beginning and offering a lot of form practice.

An excellent video for form practice/learning is Katalin Zamir's instructional video. It's about an hour long, and slowly goes through every punch and kick, with excllent form. (Unfortunately, Katalin's workouts themselves are not as good, because she uses music with a heavy beat, but often doesn't follow the beat).

I like this workout for travel. I take 1 lb. gloves, and I do the workout through two times. Then I add another short upper or lower body workout. Sometimes I add the drills at the end of kickmax or cardio kicks. And I add abs. It doesn't take much space, so it's perfect for hotel rooms. I also just plain enjoy it. But, I'm a drill kind of girl --- I love multiple kicks and punches.

Well,I watched it and it is short,I could use it as a add on!And I could do it twice!

Kathryn,I'll check out that dvd you recommended for sure!

Thanks ladies!

Amy,

I'm new to Kickboxing and I got PowerStrike with Ilaria Montagnani and Kathy Smith's Cardio Knockout from Collage. These are both excellent beginner workouts and a great lead into Cathe's more advanced workouts.

Thanks for the tip Lucinda,I'll try them both! I did do this workout and It was alright I guess, she's a little "goofy" acting.(ebayed it)

I did get cathe's KPC,and WOW,It kicked my bootyx(!But It's nice to know I have something to work up to!(didn't finish it!!x( )
