    Hiit Workouts

All Out Low Impact HIIT from Xtrain (one of my all-time favorites) :D comes in at 39 minutes, but there are several pre-mixes that can get you into the 20-30 minute time frame. Also, the HIIT DVD from the shock cardio series has 3 HIIT workouts (30/30, 40/20, & Double Wave Pyramid) all at...

    STS and Barre Workouts

Since STS is two upper body & one leg workout each week, you could make Monday & Wednesday your upper body days, Friday your leg day & insert barre on Tuesday. Obviously, the days can change around, but I'd just separate your barre from leg day.

I just finished the Level 3 rotation. It was more of a time commitment & more cardio than I usually do, but I really loved it! I think it was the Muscle Meltdowns that I liked the most. I did have a few times where I split the workouts up due to either time constraints or energy level. I...

Maybe not my fitness idol in the sense that you mean it, but I am forever grateful to Jane Fonda for getting me into working out at home. In 1983, I took a senior trip to Hawaii with 3 of my girlfriends. On the plane trip back, one of the magazines featured an article on Jane & her new...

    Garmin vs fitbit

I just got the Fitbit Charge HR & I am loving it! It's pushing me to up my activity throughout the day. I spent a lot of time reading reviews and eventually decided on the Fitbit. The only negative that I was seeing was some people were indicating that their Fitbits didn't accurately track...

    ICE workouts

This would be fine, but I wouldn't go straight into the Blizzard Blast without a warm-up. This morning I did a pre-mix from Metabolic Total Body that included the warm-up, Blizzard Blast, Muscle Meltdown & stretch. The Muscle Meltdown & Blizzard Blast were supposed to be part of last night's...

    Ripped with Hiit or X-Train

I'm 51 & XTrain is my favorite Cathe series. I did the 90 day rotation when it first came out & return to the individual workouts frequently. It includes my two favorites - Cardio Leg Blast & All-Out Low Impact HIIT & the music (IMO) is better than any other recent series. I also experienced...

    Which ICE Rotation?

I'm doing the Level 3 All Ice rotation. It's more of a time commitment than I'm used to, but I'm loving the single body part giant sets in the Muscle Meltdowns! I'm planning the Ice/Xtrain or Ice/RWH sometime in the Spring after I return to STS for awhile.

    Dec 24th 2015

I'm doing the ICE Level 3 rotation but didn't want to abandon my CatheLive workouts, so I figured that once I've been through all of the ICE DVDs, I'd start inserting some similar Live workouts into the rotation. I know right where this one is going! Merry Christmas to All!

USPS delivered ICE on a Sunday....Nice!

When I saw my ICE DVDs reached the Denver post office on Saturday morning, I figured that I would have them on Monday. I was pleasantly surprised when they were delivered this afternoon. I guess that's the upside to Cathe shipping so close to Christmas ;) Many thanks to Cathe, crew, & USPS!:)

    Google Chromecast

I've used Chromecast for CatheLive since CatheLive began & it's worked great for me. Set up is easy - you just download the Chromecast app to your device and input your wifi password. The Chromecast plugs into a usb port on your TV. Once you have the program that you want to cast up on your...

    Need support and ideas.

Lib, You've received some great advice in the posts above. I'll also add that I think your doctor's comments about expecting to gain a lot of weight was wrong, disappointing, and a great disservice to you. A favorite quote of mine is Henry Ford's "whether you think you can, or you think you...

    Step for cardio?

I didn't expect to like step that much, but Athletic Step was the first to change my mind about that... The choreography is simpler and I enjoyed it a lot. You might also like IMAX 2, each of the 10 circuits includes a relatively simple step section that you repeat six times before moving on...

    Question regarding STS Total Body?

Instead of choosing DVD, choose STS workout & it's near the bottom of the list - after the numbered discs and the ab circuit workouts. HTH.

Yoga Warrior or The Ultimate Yoga DVD Set?

I love Ultimate Yogi. I've been doing a couple of UY practices a week for a little over a year, and don't expect that I will become bored with it anytime soon. Although shorter practices are convenient, I can tell that I'm getting more benefit from the longer practices. I think that's because...

Success using Chromecast and Android phone to do Cathe Live?

I'm running Windows 8.1. There are no cables, the Chromecast plugs into a USB port in the TV. The Chromecast app was downloaded to my laptop and appears as an icon on my toolbar. Set up only took a few minutes & requires the wifi connection. To play a workout, I log into my account, choose...
