    FYI: KCM fans

Have you tried 'Patrick Goudeau Presents KickBox Burn' with instructor Heather Corndorf? I really like this one. It's high energy and fun too :D

    FYI: KCM fans

I haven't done Kelly's step boxing in awhile, but I seem to recall it was ok for an easier cardio day. I really need to try it again soon. Susan Chung isn't a very exciting instructor (very nice though) but I feel her kickboxing is slightly more challenging than Kelly's IMO.

    Lis vs xtrain

No stand alone core workouts in LIS. There's an ab focus at the end of Upper Body Trisets and TurboBarre. Also the core is worked quite a lot during Slide & Glide, Afterburn and Cardio Supersets. Lots of plank moves with the discs. I'd call this the LowImpact/Core Series. I haven't done a...

    The Hunger Games off topic

I read the first 2 books. I could never get into the 3rd one though. It was just so slow. I liked the first 2 books better than the movies. I talked with my much younger brother 19 about this and he felt exactly the same.

Skogg System - Cardio Segments from 5 dvds pack

Hi Nathalie, the moves are all using the kettlebell. Just completing the moves with a bell that is 'heavy enough to challenge you safely' will make your heart race within 5-10 minutes or so. Besides the 101 intro there are really only 4 workouts. Roots, Ladders, Intervals, and Flow. These...

    activity and calorie level????

I have always had a major sweet tooth. Last year I made a decision that I wanted to cut out all sugar (except low sugar fruits and a little bit of stevia) from my diet for just a month. It was sooooo hard. I felt like I was starving all the time. After 3 weeks the feeling went away! And now I...

What is your body type - Get to know it to determine an effective workout routine

I'm also a mesomorph. But I believe I have part endomorph too though. I really love/crave sweets such as anything chocolate and ice cream. So I have a hard time loosing that stubborn fat that covers the muscle :( Forgot to add that my favorite workouts are heavy weights and HiiT.

    weighted vest

I have a Rip 60 (20lb total) 10lb vest and an attachable 10lb belt. Got it on amazon for about $60. Not sure if it's still available. I really wanted the MIR but didn't want to spend the money. I use mine a lot for leg workouts such as STS. I do have to take it off whenever deadlifts are called...

    Premix missing?

I'm pretty sure I remember Cathe changing her mind and not doing that particular premix. Think she said that she made the step recovery blast harder (or longer maybe?) for the easier tabata (#3) to make it more even with the others. For me I think combined with the blast, #3 is actually the...

    anymore yoga dvd's?

Haven't done this one in awhile. I'm not really big on yoga (although I should do it more) so I can't answer about how it is compared to other yoga. But I liked it alot. It's more flow with a couple of cardio bursts (such as mountain climbers) thrown in there. She talks loud as if no one can...

Stability ball 75cm/65cm - Versus- Height

I'm 5'3" and I have a 65cm ball and sometimes think about getting a smaller 55cm ball. I have always wondered if the size of the ball makes any difference as to difficulty with certain moves. I find plank moves such as roll-ins and pikes so hard :o

Spinning Bike for Home use/ Fly wheel

Bought our first spin bike back in November with a 40lb flywheel. I believe (definitely not an expert) a heavier flywheel also helps keep the bike from tipping over (a steadier ride). Which is probably important if your tall. My DH is 5'11" and he has no problem. This is the one we bought which...

    High intensity Interval training

Tabata is a specific form of HiiT. It is 20 seconds of high intensity followed by 10 seconds of rest. This move or different moves are done a total of 8 times to make a 4 minute Tabata.
