"JEM is truly outrageous, truly truly truly outrageous"--I can still hear that song! My sons have Little People but they're much more human now--still big heads but not like we had.

Spirograph, yes, back in the day with the dangerous green tipped dagger pins!

Play Do! Still smells the same.

Silly putty. Jacks. My SISTER had the Lite Brite and I was not allowed to touch it. Still bitter? Maybe!

We had a wooden Chinese Checkers board that you moved marbles around to play the game. Actually my folks still have that.

We also had a (ok I'm going to botch the spelling but here goes) pachinko machine. Like pinball only vertical.

I collected those horses too Christine!:) I eventually talked my dad into getting me a moody Shetland pony I named "Jenny". She used to "take-off" with me hanging on for dear life all the time. When my feet touched the ground while sitting on her, we had to give her away.:(

I had Barbies, but hated them and would chew the feet off mine and my sisters. I always thought that "PJ" Barbie's friend was waaay cooler than Barbie, I hated Skipper too. My friend had a Ken and we would make them "have babies" together if you know what I mean.
;)

I remember me or one of my sisters having a 'Baby Tender Love" that weird squishy doll that stank after she got wet in the bath.:p

I was a terror child,I liked boy stuff better, like catching snakes, throwing rocks, etc.....:7

Anyone remember colorforms? I loved those. My mom would get them out for special occasions...I guess rainy days. do they still make them/

I never did get a Barbie :-( but I had the "generic" Madge, Ithink she was called! Sometimes I put her and all her clothes in this little (seemed big) pink trunk like thing and walk over to my friend's house to play dolls!

Oh, man. I was such a girly girl. Does anyone remember the Thumbelina doll? You wound it up and it moved around like a real baby. That's all it did, but I loved the darn thing!

<Ugh, older brothers can be such a pain.>

Younger brothers too - especially in a houseful of sisters and big-busted Barbie dolls! My brother, at some point in his childhood, seemed to get his jollies by drawing pubic hair on Barbie, and Midge, and Stacy, and Francie - and even Mary Poppins if I remember correctly! He got in BIG trouble for that stunt. }(

Fun thread!:)

:+ I remember! I got a Thumbelina doll for Christmas one year and I loved her so much! She was my favorite toy/gift of all time! Reading your post brought a huge smile to my face. :)

I too loved Breyer horses and still have my collection. They were and still are quite pricey so they were a coveted treat to me as a kid.
I liked crafty things too..."Shrinky Dinks" and those stain glass ornaments where you filled them in and baked them. I was...am... weird....

OOHH Beavs, I had those stain glass ornaments too! Forgot about them! Fun Fun!

I woke up at 3:00am this morning, not by choice!, and the first thing that popped into my head was..."Hacky Sack"!!!
