What is it about Step Blast that you like?

I have seen time and time again that lots of people like Step Blast ALOT.

I have owned Step Blast for quite some time now, but I haven't yet opened it. There are so many great Cathe step workouts I just haven't gotten around to it. . . .what makes you like it so much?

I will try it soon . . . I just have to work it into my rotation ;)
 
Let' see: Great music, fun choreography that's not too hard to learn; plus it's a serious sweatfest. Personally, I don't do the blasts in the challenge section as they are hard on my knees, but I LOVE to just do the warm up through combo 3 which is around 36 minutes. Perfect for days when I'm short on time. When I have time to do the challenge section, I just do my own moves for the intervals. HTH!
 
I actually found the choreography pretty tricky when I first tried it, but once I got it I was so proud of myself. It's just intricate enough to keep your brain engaged. And it keeps my heart rate up for a long time without feeling like "work".
 
Step Blast and Rhythmic Step are 2 of my favorite Cathe videos, and I have all but the beginner/intermediate tapes. There is a great rhythm to step blast and the music really gets you pumped. You get just enough direction to learn the moves and then you put everything together at the end with 3 blasts thrown in to up the intensity. No time like the present to pop that tape in and "get busy!!"
 
Definitely my favorite Cathe step of all time. It is some much fun. The music is GREAT! Even Cathe's personality is playful and fun in this one. Whenever I need a upbeat step I pull this one out. Very similar to it, except for length, is the Body Max 2 step portion. I love both of these. The only complaint I would have is after you learn all of the twists and turns, doing it again may feel a little bit tiresome because you still have to learn the breakdowns, but other than than that I love this one.
 
I also had it a while open the package,now that I've learned most of the moves I love it.

It's short and the premixes are even shorter but still a good workout.

Not all high impact but still a calorie burner.

Not terribly difficult, but still interesting after 3 years.

i also tend to like the tapes were all the sections come together at the end.
 
Great music, including TWO Prince songs (woo hoo!), super fun choreography (love so many of the moves I can't list them all!), and the blast challenge is excellent! I love this workout!!
 
This is probably my favorite of Cathe's step workouts. Although Rhythmic Step comes awfully close.

Step Blast is complex, which I love. It took me quite a few times through to learn the third combo, but now that I know it, I love it. As others said, the music is great, the work out moves right along, and everybody in it seems to be having a great time.

Step Blast, once I got the choreography, is just plain fun. Cathe and crew have big smiles, the music is great, and it's over before I ever have a chance to look at the clock (meaning it's intense enough to keep me interested).

It remains my absolute favorite cardio program.

I tried it!!!

Okay, so today when I got home from work my weighted vest was here waiting for me (yippee!! I love it) so I put it on and did Step Blast -- all I can say is you guys were so very right.

The music is GREAT -- I mean really, even the stretch at the end has great music!!! And it was a fun workout. Truthfully I didn't get through the blasts very well - but maybe that was because I was wearing 10 extra pounds. . . :rolleyes:

Glad I asked, glad you responded and glad I finally opened it up!! I love it too! It reminds me of Rythmic Step which I also LOVE!

Love the music and choreography on this one. It's not too easy or too complex. For me it's just right and the moves are really fun once you get them down.
 
Love the music and choreography and the Step Blast Challenge but Rhythmic Step remains my favorite.

IMO Step blast is one of Cathe's best workouts: the setting (music, set, lighting, clothes) is perfect, the intensity is perfect: not as intense as the Imaxes but intense enough to feel that you had a good workout, especially with the blasts at the end. And I like Cathe is this workout: she is as professionnal as always but she has a friendly attitude that I like. She's funny, a little bit mischievious at times and I feel as though I'm working out with a friend. I exercise 3 days/week and I pull it out at least once per 2 week because I like it so much.

I just did SB today after not having done it in a while, and it KICKED my butt!!! I need to go back to doing this workout on a regular basis again. I think I was more tired and sweaty than when I did IMAX2 last week! Whew!
 
The music is great but I find it alot of fun..you definetly will not get bored no matter how many times you do that workout! You will sweat BIG TIME with this one!
