Weight Watchers - 4th week of January

Stacy - I can understand the temptation to weigh yourself again tomorrow because I probably would (even though I know I shouldn't and I'm working on that), so all I can say is try not to. Just start fresh this week if you can. Give yourself those 7 days to get back on track!!

Melanie - CCC flat out scares me. I previewed just certain sections and of course one of them is that move you described...eek!

Jennifer - I hope you get the A-OK to pump it up with STS!!

Here is my menu for today and yes, it looks alot like yesterdays...:p

S: banana (ate this while stuck in a traffic jam today. I was very excited when I remembered that I threw it in my purse before leaving the house!!)
B: 1/2 c oatmeal, 1 c 1% milk, 4 egg whites
L: whole wheat pita, 1/2 c tuna, 1T HVR light, 1T sunflower kernels
S: apple
D: 5 oz baked chicken, 1/2 c brown rice, steamed broccoli & carrots, 1 c 1% milk

This leaves me with 3 pts for a snack. I usually have a WW yogurt with 1/2 c cool whip free but I'm getting kind of bored with that. Might spring for a pb sandwich, which I've been craving. I love PB and miss it now that I don't have it every day...:( I'll see how I feel. I might not even need a snack and if I don't, I ain't gonna eat one...;)

Just got back from the doctor's--I'm cleared to resume all activities!! Woohoo!!

I still have to take it easy and not go crazy all at once. My ankle's still pretty weak, but she said to start testing it a little bit at a time and stop if there's any pain.

I think I may wait another week or so to start STS, but I'll keep up with the weight training and start using weights for the lower body again. I'd been doing no-weight squats and leg extensions (well, I did use weights for dead lifts, but that didn't use any ankle motion), but I'm going to try and add some weight and see if I'm able to tolerate it.

I'll just keep plugging away. I managed a 50 minute walk on the treadmill after work, despite having a headache and sore throat all day. I hope this illness is short-lived. I may weigh-in later in the week. I'm going on vacation next week and wont be near a scale or a computer for that matter all week! I'm a little nervous about blowing my diet and not having access to my WW online stuff. We'll be on an island and the only food will be whatever restaurants etc that are there. I'm hoping for fruit and veggies at most places!

B--Cream of Wheat
L--low carb yogurt, 1/2 red pepper & celery with dip
D--leftover jambalaya

Estimated 32 points, 2 AP.

I need a nap.

I need to update my e-tools...I haven't had a chance today and have no idea where I stand. I have plenty of AP to cover whatever damage I may have done today. My weigh in is tomorrow and suddenly my calendar became booked with meetings. I'm going to stop and weigh in on my way to work, but I'll have to miss my normal lunchtime WW meeting.

My workout this morning was Intensity. I think this is my new favorite workout!

Suzanne-nice job keeping up with the tracking. It is so important.

Stacy-ITA with the others, just keep on following the plan and you will be fine. I'm a slow loser and rarely lose a full pound each week, more like .2-.7. Drink lots of water, it really does help. Hope you aren't coming down with anything.

JenniferMaria-Wow, that is pretty detailed information from your RMR. You will be fine once start lifting weights...STS will be perfect. I would love to have that RMR test done.

Melissa-congrats on making a wise decision to w/o instead of raid the refrigerator. How nice that your DD joined you and jumped rope.

Shereta-I so enjoy reading your positive and motivating posts!

Melanie-I'm right there with you for CCC. The one where you roll back and jump up, yeah...I use my step...it's just enough height for me to be able to jump up. The last one is hard for me too. I can do it, just not as many reps as Cathe and Crew do.

I got to bed too late to post my food yesterday. So, it is

B. 3 eggs, milk
S. Yogurt, banana
L. salad, LC spaghetti
S. apple, carrots, nutrigrain bar
D. Mcdonalds fries and 3 chicken selects
S. 4 pieces of candy

total: 53 wow

Ok, I of course didnt listen to reason and weighed myself this morning and I'm happy to report that I'm down another 0.8 from yesterday!!! I knew I had to be lower and wanted that scale affirmation. I'm "officially" now at the lowest weight I've been at in well over a year!!!
(Insert happy dance here!)

Now off to work...

Stacy - I had to laugh when I read your post because I wouldn't have been able to resist stepping on the scale again either!!! I'm glad you got a good result and feel better today...:D

Jennifer - glad you got the thumbs up from your doc!

Diana - good luck at your weigh-in tomorrow morning. Gotta love saving those AP's for when you need a little cushion!

So no school for DD today...AGAIN. That's four snow days so far this year. And it's not even February yet... DH is home as well. I just might not tell my boss that little tid-bit of info and work from home. I really don't feel like fighting traffic today. Every day this week, my 25 minute commute has been either and hour and a 1/2 or an hour. Accidents...weather...you name it.

I'll be back to report my menu and workout. ShovelMax is a given, but I've been wanting to do Low Max for some reason. Odd because that workout has a serious dread-factor for me. I think it's the pace. Seems slow to me.

Have a good morning!

Hey, Gang. Quick post to say I felt really good when i began IM3 this morning, but started to fizzle half way through.

I managed to hang on and earned 10aps. I got to bed late again helping DH get settled (he's still on crutches from the surgery last week.) I'm just happy I got most of IM3 in today. But, I'm tired and must keep over eating at bay. I did enjoy the fries and chicken fr McDs last night

Im definitely watching my midsection decrease. Yeah..............

Yeah, to you, Stacy! Im feeling you.

This morning was Circuit Blast - didn't find it as tough as CCC, but I think I needed a not-so-tough workout this morning. I think tonight though I may do the circuit workout from CTX. Not sure yet how I'll be feeling.

Yesterday I counted 2 points for my banana, and I did the same today. I read on the WW message boards that someone started counting her fruit after she had 3 pieces, and that's when she broke her plateau. So, I thought I'd try to count my bananas. Its just an experiment, so I'll see how it goes. Even with counting them the past couple of days, I haven't felt hungry by the end of the day, so that's good.

Stacy I laughed too when I saw that you stepped on the scale - I completely understand why you did, and I'm so happy for you that you saw a positive result! Good for you!

I've been drinking so much water lately and have even cut down on how many diet cokes or other diet pops I usually have. So I'm feeling good about that and hoping it will do me some good. Although, I sometimes wonder if people at work notice how often I run to the bathroom. :)

Melissa - I feel your pain with this weather. Oh, Holy Smokes it feels endless. My two are off school today again too but they are at their Dad's so I was able to get into work for a bit. On a good day my commute is an hour and change so this past week has really been bad. I keep fruit in my lunch box to munch in the car on purpose....and I always have something hot to drink - coffee in the morning, green tea or just hot water in the afternoon.

Shereta - You have my admiration for sticking with your workout even through the fizzle.

Stacy - I'm glad your extra weigh-in was a good one! I have to talk myself out of stepping on the scale at least a few extra times a week. I've managed to avoid it so far but I do understand that temptation.

Jennifer - Good luck getting back into your more intense workouts, that will feel great!

I'm finding myself winding up my week with more WP's than I expected....38! Maybe that explains why I've been feeling so weary and hungry...or it could be pms....or perimenopause...or just this awful winter!

Here's yesterday:

B - oatmeal as usual - 9
S - strawberries
L - chx sausage / mixed veg / 1oz. reduced fat feta / 100g sweet potato - 7
S - clementine
D - tuna melt (my favorite splurge) 16

That's 32 PP - 29 DP and 3 WP

I guess I'll have a glass of wine and a hearty size portion of DH's spaghetti with meat sauce tonight! :D I don't want to wait until Saturday to use my WP's if I'm going to weigh in on Sunday....

FYI on Chicken Breast Points

Has anyone noticed the glitch on WW Plan Manager for cooked chicken breast? I'm not sure if this is just on the Canadian site, or if on the U.S. site - but there's a definite glitch on the Canadian Plan Manager.

Last night I had 2 ounces of cooked chicken breast (no skin & no bone). There are three options to choose from on the Plan Manager - the one I chose is cooked chicken breast, without skin and bone. It says that 2 ounces is 4 points. I thought that was high, but just trusted the site. Anways, this morning I decided to check again, and found that the other two options for cooked chicken breast are actually the correct options - 2 ounces should be 2 points, not 4! So now I have an extra 2 points from yesterday.

I checked on the message boards, and sure enough, other people have found this glitch.

Have any of you found this on the US site?

Hi all,

Melanie - Yes, I noticed that about the chicken breast too! I'm also Canadian so can't comment on the U.S. site.

I weighed in this morning - am down 3.2 lbs since Jan. 3. Woo hoo! It's not going fast, but at least it's going in the right direction and I've lost every week. I know I'm eating too much fruit. Also, I was sick last week and went a bit overboard on sweet stuff and ice cream for my sore throat.

Sounds like everyone is doing great! I'm not posting a lot but I'm enjoying reading about all your struggles and successes and I find all of you very inspirational.

Stebby

Stebby - WOOHOO!!! Keep up the good work!!

Melanie - I am in the US and had chicken for dinner last night. The points tracker figured it out correctly.

Just came in from ShovelMax. It went by fast actually. The whole time I was out there I kept thinking about the blueberry muffins I made DD this morning. I had convinced myself that it would be okay to have one, but when I finally came inside I grabbed an apple instead...:D ^5 to me!!! They are still staring me down though so hopefully DD and DH will polish them off shortly.

Oops, I meant to post my menu:

B: banana, 1/2 c 1% milk, 2 slices of toast with 1T pb
S: apple
L: Wendys' chili, 6 saltines
D: 1 c pasta, 1/4 c pasta sauce, 1 c 1% milk

This leaves me with 5 DP's. Maybe I'll put some chicken in my pasta.

Okay, Ladies, here's my food for today:
B. Yogurt, almonds - 8
S. banana-0
L. salad, chicken breast, popcorn - 6
s. graham crackers, apple, quaker rice cakes, nutrigrain bar - 10
d. chicken breast, collards, carrots, milk,- 6
s. wwers ice cream - 8
total: 38 ( I have 10 WPs and 1 ap left - yikes)

So I get home from work and I'm ordered "out of the kitchen" while DH makes dinner. No argument there! I'll report back later to post today's menu!

So here's my 12 point dinner compliments of my DH....

Lump Crab Salad Cocktail (served in a martini glass with Old Bay Seasoning as the "salt" on the glass, and a slice of lemon as a garnish)....the recipe included low fat mayo, lemon juice, crab, chopped celery, shallots and chives with fresh tarragon leaves

Served with...

Grilled Vegetable Salad....vegetables grilled with a bit of extra virgin olive oil...asparagus, cherry tomatoes, red onions, yellow and red bell peppers with fresh basil leaves

I had 5 points worth of cashews as well...so a 17 point dinner. Breakfast and lunch came to 7 points...so DP's today = 24!

Today I was my weigh in and I'm happy to say I'm down 2.4. This is a lot for me and since it was the first week I'm okay with it. I know better than to expect that much of weightloss each week.

My eats were the same as usual, but I'm making spaghettin and meatballs, garlic bread for dinner. So far I have 14 DPs left and earned 10 APs this morning with BM2 Cardio Blast. I'm in good shape.

bbl for personals.

Stacy, can I get the leftovers? Man, that dinner sounds good.

Diana, congrats on the loss. You're really working this program.
