Weight Watchers - 4th week of February

Cathlete
Good morning all. Just starting for the week.

I won't be around much. My mom passed away Friday after a long battle with Parkinson's.

I hope everyone has a good week.

Oh, Suzanne. I'm so sorry for your loss. I will definitely keep you and your fam in my thoughts and prayers.

Stacy, yes that's the same kind I use. I add almonds or peanuts to it with a fruit. Great snack.

I've been off the wagon for a few days. I think I'll be in start over or back on the wagon mode tomorrow. I hope so b/c I hate the feeling I have when I don't eat, rest and workout well. I have been loving my slimmer size, able to bounce up the stairs and the drive way with ease. My clothes are fitting better and I'm holding my 8lb loss. Now, it's time to get back to serious.

tomorrow - game face on.

Hi everyone!

Went a little off-program yesterday. Not too bad, but not too good either. I'm back on track today and super-focused!!!

Menu:

B: 3 oz sweet potato, 1 egg/3 whites scrambled with 2T cheddar cheese & 2T salsa, 1/2 c 1%
L: whole wheat pita, 1T HVR Light, 1/2 c tuna
S: apple
D: 1/2 c pasta, 4 oz chicken, brocolli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts & red pepper sauteed in 2t olive oil, 1 cup 1%

This is only 24 points but I'll probably stick to it if I'm feeling full. I could add some extra pasta, but I really don't want to. We'll see.

You go, Sherata! You've been so inspirational and I'm sure the setback last week will be nothing but a teeny bump on the road. Go get 'em this week!

Melissa: today will be a good day, I can feel it! :)

It's a happy weigh-in for me today: I am down 2.5 pounds from last week! Woohoo!!

I really, really hope I can continue to lose, although I know that's probably the biggest drop I'll get at any one time. I'd be cool with 1 pound a week. Heck, I'd be happy even with .5 pound a week, as long as it keeps going in the right direction LOL.

But this is exactly the encouragement I needed because I was seriously wondering if this was the program for me after all. Not really sure what changed because I didn't do anything drastically different (except get more sleep and make a little more effort into not stressing so much about everything), but maybe it all just needed a little bit of time to kick in. Maybe my body wasn't trusting that I'd actually stick with this, so it was waiting a few months before it it decided this really was going to be a long-term thing and then decided to cooperate :p.

Whatever it is, I will take it (and more, please! :)).

Woohooo, Jennifer I almost jumped outta my seat when I read your post. Yeahhhhhh. That's great news. woooohooooooo. you telling me to go get em. I think you already got em! Oh, man. Its a new day, and jennifer feeling gooooooooooooood.

Suzanne, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Keep your chin up. I will be thinking of you.

Hi Ladies,

I fell off the WW wagon over the weekend to, but am back at it today! We had my son's 15th bday party with cake, ice cream and pizza. I had some of everything...and no workouts to counterbalance the effects of all the food I had.
Disc 21 B&B completed this morning. Bootcamp class tonight.

b-fiber one, prot. pwd, flax seed, 1 C berries, 1 C coconut milk (7)
s-banana/apple
l-green salad w/1 can tuna (5)
d-tbd but probably 2 boca burgers after bootcamp class (3)

Suzanne-so sorry for your loss. {{HUGS}}

Shereta-way to go. So the scale was still kind to you after your not so good weekend. Hope my weigh in goes the same way!

Melissa-if you're still hungry, have more broccoli & cauliflower instead of pasta. Sounds like several of us kind of fell off the wagon over the weekend. But we are all back at it today!

Jennifer-Congrats on the weightloss and sticking with the program! You know, it took me several weeks to start seeing any loss too. I don't know why that is, but now I'm trending...you know enough down weeks to see a trend.:p btw, I think it was you that mentioned coconut milk, well I tried it today and it was delicious. I think I will alternate between almond milk and coconut milk.

Keep up the good work everyone!

A quick post.

Suzanne: (((hugs))) sorry to hear of your loss

I'll join the rest of you of falling off the wagon. I had chineese food and ice cream. I still have about 5 wp left. But TODAY is a NEW DAY!

Suzanne, sorry for your loss.

I'll join those who have fallen off the band wagon....today was a bad eating day, too many carbs, too much junk, way over on points.....basic stress eating. I'm finding it hard to stay motivated after getting back from vacation, dont really know why. It's been various reasons. I'm trying to regroup but it's been a struggle. This is the 3rd week I'm "starting over" and it's showing on my lack of progress on the scale here lately.

Suzanne, we miss you. Hope you keeping it together for the most part. Take care of yourself too ((((((((hugs))))))))))

Stacy, what helps me get back on the wagon is planning my menu a day in advance. So, now, I've already plugged in my foods and APs for tomorrow. Maybe you should try that. I plug in my health checks a day ahead too to make sure I got all areas covered. Come on now, dust yourself off and get back in the saddle. You're worth it.

Hey, yall. Today's workout was Athletic Step. I was so tired. not sure why - I did get to bed at a reasonable time. Oh well, I earned 8 APs.

S. peanuts - 4
B. collards 0
S yogurt, peanuts, banana - 6
l salad, tuna, crackers, pudding - 13
s. apple, almonds 4
d. spaghetti, broc, milk 12
total 39

I was thinking of trying Athletic Step today. I've had it but never done it. I may opt for something that takes no mental energy though as I didnt get alot of sleep last night. I envy your AP's!!

Stacy - I agree with Shereta 100%, try planning your meals one day ahead to keep you on track. I have this "thing" where if it's already written down, I have to stick to it. I actually have started planning 3 days at a time. Makes it easier for me during the work-week and keeps me on track over the weekend when I'm more tempted to wing it.

I'm having one of those "I can't stand my boss" days. Just the sight of him is making me cranky...:p I really just want to go home and exercise. Hopefully this day flies by!

I ended my day with 26 points yesterday. I had a WW lemon cream pie yogurt around 7:30 then called it quits by brushing my teeth...:D

Menu for today:

B: the usual: 3 whites/1 egg scrambled w/2T cheddar & 2T salsa, 3oz sweet potato & 1/2 c 1%
S: apple
L: again, the usual: 1/2 c tuna, 1T Hidden Valley Light Ranch dressing, whole wheat pita, celery
D: 5 oz roasted pork chop, steamed veggies, 1 c 1%

This brings me to 22 points. Maybe I'll have more pork chop or a little bit of baked potato.

Have a great day everyone!

Stacy, I had very little mental energy that's why it wipped me out. I was huffing the whole time. Normally, I do it without the step after the second part, but I pushed through a little farther after that and called it quits. I'm planning on doing it again on Saturday for the sake of pride.

Go, Melissa, you no-carb at dinner queen.

Hi ladies!

Halfway through the day and so far so good...

Workout: 40 min run, with intervals in the last 10 min (6 points)

B: my usual oatmeal
MS: PBJ sandwich with thin buns
L: grilled portobello sandwich with roasted red peppers and feta (I didn't know the restaurant was going to put mayo on, or I would have asked for it to be removed; I'm not a big mayo fan, ick), plus a few tortilla chips and salsa, 1 tall nonfat ice latte

What I've got planned for the rest of the day:

AS: thin buns with 1 wedge laughing cow light swiss cheese
D: 3 oz grilled salmon, 3/4 cup brown rice, 1 cup grilled asparagus, 1 cup grilled zucchini (each sprayed with a bit of olive oil for flavor)

If I'm still hungry, I may melt some dark chocolate and eat them with strawberries, yum!
