Weight Watchers - 3rd week of February

YAY!!!!!!! GOOOO TEAAMM!!!!!!! Ok, I'm not a good cheerleader, but I'm getting back in the positive group, thanks in part to everyone here on this thread!! We all rock!!

Menu today...

B--low carb yogurt
L--Lean Cuisine panini
S--Smart Ones mini cheeseburger
D--Kashi protein cereal with skim milk

Not much fruit or veggies there! I need to go grocery shopping badly! I'm at 24 points, may just leave it at that. I do have a little bit of celery and carrots in the frig for a snack later if I get hungry.

No workout for me today, taking another rest day. With regard to STS TB....I LOVE that workout too!

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I haven't been around, just super busy at work etc. I'm down 2.6lbs this week. It has taken almost 4 weeks for the weight to start coming off. But I've been down the last 3 weeks in a row. Interestingly enough, I'd been sick and hadn't been doing cardio when the weight started coming off. The other thing I noticed is that I wasn't eating all of my daily points, wp's or ap's. Hopefully I don't have to continue under eating my points to continue losing weight.

Shereta-I have better results with heavy lifting and intense cardio just like you. I don't do any sissy squats with 45lbs, I use 115lbs for squats and love it!!!

Melissa-Have you had success at the scale since decreasing some of your carb intake?

Melanie-you can't go by the scale alone. Maybe you are decreasing bodyfat and increasing muscle mass. In this case, your weight may stay the same but your size would decrease.

Elaine-good for you for getting out there and walking! We don't have to do hard core w/o's every day to see results. Our bodies need a break now and then and walking is great way to do that.

Stacy-I always follow a rotation. I use Cathe's rotations and pick one to fit what I want at that time. Right now I'm doing STS, but soon I will be doing another round of Insanity.

Suzanne/Jennifer-how are you doing?

I hope I caught up with everyone and didn't leave any out. Apologies if I did.

Keep up the good work everyone!

I am trying to focus on eating healthy and not beating myself up because if I focus on the scale, I'll be disappointed LOL!

In all seriousness, I really am trying hard to keep my eyes on my long-term goal of being as healthy as I can be. I can't deny that it isn't unnerving to see a little more jiggle to my belly and to have my pants fitting a little more snugly than normal, but I figure as long as I keep at it with my running, circuits, eating good, clean foods (with the occasional treat or two :p), and most importantly, keeping my stress to a minimum and getting enough sleep, eventually things will fall into place.

At least that's my hope :).

It's a lot to think about all at once, so right now I'm focusing on the sleeping. My sleeping has been way out of whack lately and I think that's contributing to my stress level. We've all read over and over that stress and poor sleeping leads to weight gain (particularly, belly fat, ick!), so I decided to tackle those first and then, once I've gotten back into a routine of a solid 8 hours of sleep and managing my stress, I can refine my eating and workouts. For now, I'm doing my best with the last two things so I can put my effort into the sleeping and stress management.

Holding steady on the scale, so I guess I should be thankful for that LOL. I'd sure like to see it start to decrease, but I'll take maintenance for now as long as I stop the weight creep while I work on getting back to good habits.

Good morning everyone!!

Stacy - glad to see you're catching some positive vibes!!

Diana - 2.6 down...nice!!! Yes, I am seeing some improvement since lowering my carb intake. I also decreased my points to 26 a day so it might be the combo of both. Either way, it makes me :D.

Jennifer - it can be kind of overwhelming to try to "fix" everything at once. Smart of you to focus on one thing at a time. It'll all come together soon enough.

So, two good things to share:

#1 - I stepped on the scale this morning. Down .6 and Sunday is my official weigh-in. YAY! I'm going out to eat with some girlfriends tonight so I wanted to weigh myself today and tomorrow just to keep myself on track. I'm a little nervous about eating out but I'm definetly having one margarita. On the rocks has to be better than frozen, right?!?!. And I'll probably have chicken fajitas. Probably my safest choice since I can stick with just the meat and veggies and maybe have one flour tortilla.

#2 - I am wearing a pair of jeans today that have been hanging in my closet for years without my wearing them. I've actually never been able to wear them. They are Lucky jeans. Got them on super-duper sale at Macy's. Even though they didn't fit, I kept them. Of all the times I've cleaned out my closet since, I couldn't bring myself to donate them. I knew someday I'd be able to wear them. And guess what? I can breathe!!!! They are pretty comfortable, actually...

BBL to post my menu. Going to try to be as minimal as possible today so that if I decide to have a 2nd margarita tonight, I don't totally blow it.

Melanie: My dog loved her walk. I did a bit of a jog now & then. I'm trying to teach her to run beside me and not spaz out. Not an easy task with a skittish/hyper dog.:D

Diana: It was nice to be outside and enjoy the air. A change of scenery always helps my motivation.

Jennifermaria: I'm right there with you about the sleep. I tend to stay up to late and have to get up early. Yuck. Great idea about working on one positive habit at a time. I like it! not so over whelming.

Suzanne,Melissa and Shereta: What's on for today?

This morning I did KPC/L&G premix. I like putting leg work with KB. 8pts

Not sure about my menu.

The last 2 days I've forgotten my snack or just wasn't hungry. I've been under my DPs. I am sure to make up for this on Saturday. My DS turns 10 and we are having his party at a rock climbing gym. Of course there will be an ice cream cake and you know me and ice cream!:p

BBL to report my menu.

Hi ladies! I haven't posted for a couple of weeks. I've been sick (throat infection), then busy at work, then sick again (head cold) but now I'm on the mend. Had a big weekend of big eating and no workouts ... weighed in Monday and was up (ulp!) 6.5 lbs!!! But I know it's not possible to gain that much in a week so I've just been trying to get back into my routine and as of this morning, 5 of those lbs are gone. I've been back on track with my workouts for 4 days now and my eating is pretty good. I will expect better results next week!

I love how so many of you are posting your menus - you are giving me some great ideas. I tend to get in a rut and eat the same thing every day. Melanie, I particulary liked your low-cal hot chocolate + cocoa powder idea. I have some fresh new cocoa powder which I just bought on the weekend (20 calories per tbsp, 2 g fiber) and some WW chocolate smoothie mix which I don't particularly like because it's not chocolatey enough - this will help.

Stebby

Quick post. Got to bed at 12:30am, saw DH off to work at 5:30 then went back to bed til 6:40. No workout today. Feeling slimmer in a shirt that was too tight two months ago. Love the great reports of loses, better fitting clothes and great attitudes.

BBL

smoochies to alllllllllllllllllll

Thanks Elaine!! I do have a little more pep in my step today thanks to these jeans...:p Yummy on the ice cream cake. Enjoy it!!!

Stebby - welcome back. Sorry to hear that you've been so sick...:(

Shereta - put some pep in that step today with that shirt on!!

This may be TMI, but my buns are super-sore today from High Reps lower body premix last night. I love it!!! And they don't look too bad in these jeans either...

Yeah, Melissa!! Awesome about the .6 pound weight loss and the jeans!!

I too stepped on the scale (even though Mondays are my weigh-in days) and was encouraged by a .7 pound change (in the right direction this time :)). Woohoo!! Now, Monday is a few days away so who knows what the scale will look like then LOL, but I'm going to try my best to focus on good habits in the meantime, so hopefully the scale will be nice then too.

One thing I've noticed is that I've been feeling bloated a lot lately. I won't go into TMI territory, but I'm thinking it's got a lot to do with the scale being stuck. I probably need to do more flushing out with upping my water intake.

That's it for now--I'll post later to share my workout and eating...

Not sure what's going on this week, so far my DPs are below 29 when last week I was above every day.

The only time I've been really hungry is after lunch. That's when I grab a fruit.

Elaine -your menu sounds so healthy and satisfying! I'm on my way over, LOL!

Melissa - how was your 'rita? I love a sour apple margarita. Last time we went for Mexican I had a glass of sangria. Fewer points. Tasty though.

I'm waiting to leave to take my 15yo to the doctor. She has been losing weight and complaining of abdominal pain. She had a slew of blood work yesterday but I want the doc to check her out - maybe an ultrasound is in order. I'm worried about her.

Despite the insanity of my daily life I have managed to stay on track, and tracking. The diet isn't perfect but I haven't yet sat down with a pint of Ben & Jerry's to drown my sorrows so that is a step in the right direction.

Really, really hoping for a restful weekend so I can try to catch my bearings.

Happy Friday everyone!

Good morning fellow WW'ers...:D

I thoroughly enjoyed my margarita last night. I ended up ordering a chicken fajita salad, no sour cream or gauc. I wasn't even tempted to eat the shell. I really focused on the company I was with instead of the food and it was a great feeling.

I hopped on the scale this morning expecting to be up from yesterday and guess what? I am down 1.8 lbs since yesterdays WI. Is that even possible?!?! Maybe it was a magic margarita...:p

BBL to post my menu and chat. Have a great morning!!

Elaine, I love all the fruits and veggies in you menu.

Suzanne, I hope all is well with your daughter.

Melissa, that's great news!

workout today -- Intensity, burned 845 calories in 53 min. earned 11 aps.

size 14 jeans keep sagging on me. Yippeeeeee.

Melissa: I had a similar experience. I had quite an indulgent lunch yesterday (can someone say gyro sandwich and bacon-wrapped dates? :)), and I got on the scale this morning, full expecting to see a pound or more above the number I saw yesterday (thus negating the .6 pound loss LOL), but instead I saw another .9 pound drop! So I'm down 1.5 pounds from Monday, my official weigh-in day!

Hoorah!!!

Now I just need to be really sensible these last three days before my next official weigh-in so I can maintain that number (not that I would say no to it dropping even more *hehe* :p).

Jennifer - WOOHOO! That is so funny that we had the same experience. I was tempted to change my official WI day to today and just go with it...:p

Shereta - I think you need to go shopping for some new jeans!! That is awesome...:D

Menu:

B: 3 whites, 1 egg scrambled w/2T cheese & 2T salsa, 1/2 cup 1%
L: homemade chili
S: pear
D: grilled chicken salad, greek dressing, pita bread
S: carrots

This comes to 25 points. I have to fit in a cup of milk though so I might scale back on the chicken to accomodate that. I'll have to wait until I weigh it.

Jennifer - WOOHOO! That is so funny that we had the same experience. I was tempted to change my official WI day to today and just go with it...:p

OMG I was going to do that too!! Too funny :D.

I love that we're going through the same thing together. Not that I want you to be going through this too, but you know what I mean--it helps to have someone who can relate :p.

Jennifer and Melissa, this unexplained, oopsy, I cant believe I ate that - drop in weight is exactly what happened to me on two different weeks. I've gone over all my points two different weeks and on the next weigh in I was down 2.5 lbs. I just listened to my body, ate really good most of the time, counted everything, had high PP days and the weight fell off. I'm not surprised with your drops. I am happy for you. Its a great feeling. Congratulations to you both.

I think in the past I've tried to eat as little as possible and my body held on to everything. I definitely eat more on this plan and it's working.
