Week to Week 12/14/20-12/20/20

Good morning! Felt like doing an old Firm today so I pulled out The Hare. Corny, but I love it! :) :)

The vestibular specialist doesn't believe I have labyrinthitis because this came on so insidiously and has been relatively mild compared to the bouts of vertigo I've had in the past. He also doesn't believe this is from a virus. He thinks I have what is now called vestibular migraines. We spent a lot of time talking about possible triggers (number one is stress/anxiety!! Gee... haven't had any of that in the past six weeks, right?? LOL!!), and foods to avoid, etc. I have a ton of info to read, and will be getting vestibular testing on January 14th to rule out any identifiable organic causes. I have a strong history of migraines when I was younger, and this is seen in older adults with that kind of a history. Makes sense. There are exercises they can teach me to help ward it off, but mostly it's avoiding known triggers, and using medication if needed. Right now (knock on wood!) I feel pretty good. :) Exercise is also known to help, so it's a good thing I've become so dedicated to keeping up with my workouts. :)

Have a great Saturday!

:)
Today was: KY 15m & Stott Essential Bosu 44m
This was a really beneficial WO for me & feel good as well. I’ll eventually get back to my Cathe WOs but this pause to reassess where I am has been great.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Good morning! Did one of the premixes from Cathe's Afterburn workout from her Low Impact series. I thought I'd done this workout before, but I can't find it on my spreadsheet, so this is the first time I've tried it. I loved it!! It felt wonderful to work so hard. I haven't been able to workout up to par in weeks. It feels like I'm coming out of this. Thanks be!! :) :)

Hi all

Yesterday was a rest day. We did some cleaning and by we I mean mostly my husband . He does the majority of the cooking and cleaning. He is just better at it.

Today was Yvette Metabolic Step and yoga.

Have a great day.

Yesterday was a rest day for me, and today I did ICE Bootcamp Circuit + MM biceps + icy core. I really enjoy that one, even tho I'm still scared of jumping onto the step with both feet! :eek:I hung in there for most of them tho.

Last week was crazy at work. On Weds I posted for a position in a new, growing area of the company (United Healthcare). An hour later I got an invite for a recruiter interview Friday. Then Thursday morning I got an invite for a same-day interview with the hiring manager, during which she asked me if I was in. I said yes! Now it's just a matter of formally accepting and offer with a dollar amount. Lateral move but I'm really excited!!

I had some older Firm VHS's I used to love! Body Sculpting Basics, Low Impact Aerobics and Aerobic Workout with weights. Those leotards and leg warmers are classic and the workouts are no joke! I gotta try to find those on DVD.

Carol, I'm so glad to hear you're feeling good and got a killer workout in! :DThanks for the update on the specialist visit. Sounds like you have some good leads to follow!

I might get crazy and tack on a blizzard blast to Chiseled Upper Body tomorrow... I have yet to try any of those! But I also have yet to try Chiseled Upper Body so we shall see lol. I have tomorrow and Tuesday off. Fingers crossed that I hear from the recruiter tomorrow!!

Hope everyone has a great week. :)

Also: does anyone use the workout manager? I'm poking around in there on my phone but it's obvious it'd be more user-friendly on a computer, heh.

Got my a$$ kicked by Cathe today with Slide & Glide. Did a good job at keeping up considering I just previewed this yesterday. Only, uttered profanity a few times Got a good chunk of my gift wrapping for Christmas done. I have Cooper's gifts in my office and Santa Paws might deliver them. Expecting 3 New Cathe DVD's tomorrow!
