OMG! I can so relate. It can be maddening. My mother would sometimes joke "of all the things I've lost over the years, I miss my mind the most" - sometimes that's not a joke.I do this too and it got really bad when I entered menopause. The other thing I do is I go into a room to do something, get distracted doing something else, walk out and then about 10 minutes later, remember that I forgot to do the first thing. So, I go back, get distracted again, walk out, remember again, and so on. This can go on for a while. Then, there are the times when I take something out of the refrigerator, put it on the countertop, then immediately forget I did that and go looking in the refrigerator and start panicking because I can't find it, but I know it should be there.![]()
That sound so very familiar! When I forget, I will walk back into the room to see if I can remember what I went in there forI do this too and it got really bad when I entered menopause. Doesn't it though!Oh my goodness, Hazlady, all of that sounds so familiar!!!
That sounds so much like me. I used to be sooooo organized, and then menopause scrambled my brain. lol At my old house... my deep freeze was in the garage. I used to go out there once a week and bring in a week's worth of meat and frozen food and put them in the fridge/freezer in the house. I do not remember what distracted me, but it was summer and it was HOT out. I went out, set everything in the box I used to carry the items into the house. The next day, I went out to the garage for a tool. When I opened the garage door, the garage reeked! Smelled like something had died in there. There was my box of meat... sitting on top of the deepfreeze... just rotting and stinking up the place. lolI do this too and it got really bad when I entered menopause.
