The Tudors are back!

Ah yes - I remember once back around election time putting up a post in regards to a political story I had read. I had asked that I not be flamed and was promptly flamed by someone who did not at all want to hear or agree with my post (hmmm - wonder who that was now . . .) and then was chastised for asking not to be flamed in the first place. There is a definite double standard around here at times.

That being said - I have no problem with the statements made by those who did not want to watch it. They weren't wretchedly mean about it - they just stated why they didn't care for it.

Me - I love it. And lets face it peeps - there is some hot scenes in this show along with the costumes, music, scenery, very good acting.

As my DH said last season "This show should be called The F-G Tudors instead" . . tehehe

I did! I loved that show. That was Keith Carradine playing Wild Bill, if I remember correctly?
I also liked Calamity Jane. A FAR CRY from Doris Day's rendition!! :D
 
Yes, it was Keith Carradine. (I love his voice.) And Jane was so much fun! She'd cuss a blue streak and then turn and bat her eyelashes at Bill. :D

Laura Max - you made a post and people are allowed to view and comment on it whether they agree with you are not. I don't understand your propensity to attack the first (and every other for that matter) person that does not see things exactly your way. You yourself have had no problem in the past jumping on other peoples postings and with much less decorum I might add - why should it not be the same for you?

I think those that stated that they didn't care for the show and why were very polite about it. Take a page from the lesson book ~
 
That is absolutely true, Baylian. Anyone is allowed to post whatever they please here. They CAN, it doesn't mean they SHOULD. And you are the last person to tell me to learn a lesson, I seem to remember you telling me I needed to get laid. Classy.

Regarding the linked thread, yeah, I got tired of post after post after post after post about politics from a brand new member who never posted a word about fitness, or anything else for that matter. And if I remember correctly, that was the thread that Gayle jumped in unprovoked to tell me to STFU. Or, to be more specific, "Laura, shut the f*ck up." Uh huh, THAT was pretty positive! Not to mention very mature. :D:D:D

Beavs & TeTe, you do not want to go there. Maybe if I have the time today I'll dredge up the thread from a few months ago where the two of you totally ripped people apart for their religious beliefs, which is so wrong on so many levels. I'm not a religious person, but I am a "history person" & while it's done lots of bad in this world, it's done lots of good. I would NEVER EVER go there. Your condescending nastiness about it came off just as strident as religious proselytizing.

Who are you to moderate around here as to who can post what and when? You are a train wreck I swear. Because I had not been to the boards in quite some time and then posted something about politics gave you the un-ending right to tell me to "leave the boards"? I think NOT!

And I have on many occasion seen your writings with the proverbial WTF in them so don't sit here on your delusional high horse and lecture on class.

There have been many times where maybe you should NOT type on a thread but it is very evident you lack some self control.

You made a post (a good one I might add) and decided to attempt to punish those that did not see it your way!

OK, I really have no idea what you're talking about, although you did give me a chuckle. When did I ever tell you to leave the forums?

So what if I use the term "WTF?" Are you somehow trying to turn that into a personal attack on someone? LMAO! At least I've never called anyone a train wreck, or told them they needed to get laid.

Since you seem to be either a little slow on the uptake or are not reading my posts, just giving knee-jerk responses, allow me to reiterate: I am not telling someone they CANNOT post something. I am saying there are times when they SHOULD NOT. It's called a thread crap, & there are certain people who make a habit of it. Personally, if I see someone post about something I don't like, I simply refrain from commenting on it (other than your constant, continual efforts to shove your conservative philosphy down our throats), especially IF I'VE NEVER EVEN SEEN IT. LOL!

Why is this such a difficult concept to grasp? Or is it that you're just looking for a reason to jump?
 
Have you ever wondered why a lot of the old timers don't post here much anymore? Just read this thread.
