I know...I'm trying hard to like her! I just don't think she wants this like everyone else. But she is making the show interesting! I loved it last week when Carla was dancing around her living room!

Actually, for a large part of it? I am at the weigh in now - maybe they will say something. For now, the computer is going to bed and so am I.
 
My husband and I don't like her either...she should have been voted off last night...then I would have loved to seen her friend kick her butt...smile.
 
Damien - can you believe it! My only thought is that Jillian's team sees Joelle as not threatening at all so is keeping her around.

It will be interesting next week to see how Bob's team reacts. I think they expected Jillian's team to vote for Joelle with them.

If Carla makes it back - I think that will make for some interesting television! She's got quite a temper.

I can't believe they sent Damien home! I really like him and Nicole. They're doing great on their own, but still! Oh, well, Joelle drives me a little crazy, but otherwise I like all the contestants this time around, which is nice.

I was sad to see Damien go - and I am sure there will be some team reprecussions when they went against the wishes of Bob's team. Should prove interesting...


Did you see the previews for next week???? Both teenagers make it in the bottom!!!!!!!!! :(:(:(
 
The producers did it....

I was floored too, then realized, even though it's called a reality show, it ain't real. The producers can manipulate the show however they want. Joelle is a pain in the neck, but guess what, most people love to hate her, and are dying to see more fireworks between her and Bob, or her and Carla when she comes back, so she makes better TV. Damien and his wife are very nice, but that's it, not real exciting to watch.

I was hoping the switch was that they would ditch Joelle and put Carla in the house instead. Oh well.
 
Although Joelle doesn't deserve to be there, she needs to be there if she even has a remote chance of changing her life. Unlike Damien and his fiance, who are both motivated and looked fabulous with the results they are getting on their own, Joelle doesn't seem like she could or would do it own her own. She's barely doing it on the show even knowing how important it is to Carla. I feel really sorry for her. Her heart isn't in it, but she needs it so badly.

I skipped back and forth between this and the Inaugural Ball, so missed parts. I was so disgusted by that woman eating 2000+ calories. Gross.
And the really huge kid's brother at home. He looked like he was eating out with his father - how his father could let his kids get like that. He was laughing at the kid gorging himself at the restaurant. I just don't understand people like that.
I was impressed with the girls jumping for 2+ hours in 95 degree heat. I would have passed out in that weather.
 
If I were BOB .. I would have stopped them in the middle of their yelling ..back talking crap and given them BOTH boxing gloves and told them to GO AT IT!!!! GEEZE .. he should have walked out on both of them ... enough is enough!!!

Joelle does NOT want to be there .. she wants to go home and she "thought" she WAS going home ... she is miserable .. and spoiled ... she wants the results but does not want to put forth the effort!!

And Damien and his fiance look GREAT ... they did EXCELLENT ... they seem like a really happy couple!!!

and the two kids at the bottom next week:( .. OMG they BOTH need to be there ... the 19 year old breaks my heart when I see him trying to move ... BOTH of them need to stay ... the 19 year old if he gets sent home .. I fear he will give in to the food .... :(
 
I was truly shocked when Joelle wasn't voted off. I can't stand her either but maybe people did see her as less of a threat than Damian. Her attitude stinks. But she did lose 6 pounds this week instead of 2. Maybe as she starts losing more weight, she'll get more inspired.

I thought Damien and his fianceé looked great. They have each other to lean on for support and it looked like they worked out together which makes it better for both of them.

I was so glad to see Dan lose 15 pounds. The brown team looks like they're going to need some surgery for all the excess skin after they lose the weight.

I think I saw a coming attraction where it might be a really difficult elimination next week.

I agree it's all manipulation for ratings. Joelle equal drama. That is why she is still around. Damien is too nice and not enough drama.
 
I think Jillian's team voted off Damien, because he IS the bigger threat. I wouldn't say it was "fixed" really, but I'm sure the producers like that Joelle is still there.

I don't dislike her as much as I did Vicky, last season. I think Joelle just doesn't have the motivation to be there. It's almost like she just went along with Carla (or bullied into it) to go on the show. I feel bad for her in a way, because she really isn't ready to do this. And I think she has a hard time tellign Carla that (who seemed kind of scary to me!).

Did anyone know why the Orange team wasn't at the Temptation? The orange kid at home, wow... he just doesn't get it either. I feel sad for him, because he really DOES need to learn how things are done at the ranch as far as eating. He has no knowledge/discipline/support.
 
I stared @ the TV last nite screaming WTH!?!?!? when they kicked off Damien!!!! It really does raise the question of how much the producers are involved in orchestrating the turnout??? Joelle does equal drama...for a brief millisecond I thought she might sacrifice herself.....I must have been on something! Maybe next week when the boys are at the bottom someone else will step up....that would be an incredibly dramatic moment!

FYI ~ the newest TV guide has 2 pages of previous winners and updates.....most have maintained a very significant weight loss. But they also included a few who have regained.
 
I knew that Damien would be one of the first people voted off, he wasn't losing the weight that would allow him to stay above the yellow line, I thought that his fiance should have stayed instead. She had lost more weight at the end and had lost more weight than he did before going home. I got a little tired of the hating and ganging up that the group did against Joelle, it is one thing not to like someone but does everyone have to be against the same person, she even had to deal with her own teammate being nasty towards her.
