No snow here Katie but it rained last week and seemed spring like this first part of the week now it's turning cold tonight! Not sure what's going to happen now with it! Are u seeing any changes in doing RWH yet?

Have not posted I just have not done any workouts accept yesterday I managed to do muscle max and today I did a Tracy gold and Michele Dozisa dvd. I know I am spelling it wrong! I did 40 minutes of it .. Had to stop before it was over to get to pre op. I'm having surgery tomorrow and kind of scared and I just hope I am doing the right thing.
 
Renee, hope all goes well for you tomorrow! Please let us know how it went when you are able.

No wo to report.

My uncle passed yesterday morning. Roger, stepdad, is still in the hospital. He's coming along, but not well. He has bacteria in his blood and they are running tests to figure out what meds to give.

And I'm still sick, so I can't help, about to take my second nap of the day.

Renee, post when you an, hope you are recovering well!

ladylep-- I am so sorry to hear about your uncle! love and prayers to you and your family! I hope your stepdad continues to improve quickly! how awful! I am also sorry to hear that you are sick. I am feeling pretty punky today (this afternoon)-- not sure what it is: could be crummy sleep or I am fighting something off. I will be thinking of you and your family.

renee-- I hope you are doing well! I didn't realize the surgery was still going as planned. I am praying all went well and that you are comfortable!

today for me was supposed to be upper body circuit, but I did lower body circuit to get it out of the way (that one kills me), so tomorrow will be upper body. one more week left of this 8 week rotation starts sunday. to answer your question, renee, I do see more definition in my arms and I am sure my cardio endurance has gotten even better. I am feeling overtrained, though, in some way that I can't put my finger on-- but more achey and tired than usual. this rotation has been intense! I think this week and week 4 were the worst. I am missing the upper body weight workouts, which she kind of drops off in week 7 in favor of the circuit workouts and lots of HiiT.

I wish I could do something wo wise, because I want to be finished by Sunday and was hoping to get in PRS 1 or 2 in before Monday when I plan to start max 30. Not sure how to fit them in now. I don't want to quit the rotation but I want to start max 30. I was going to try to do low impact tabata today 15 min or less impact 45 is I were feeling better but I just slept today. Maybe I should combine them? I only have 3 left: CF, LIHI the other one just did part of the chest one Tuesday and LIHI legs. We are having a small super bowl party with 3 families coming so I don't know if I will be able to get in a 45 min wo Sunday. Hopefully I can do some part of CF and I will count that.

Hi girls
I'm fine surprisingly. The hysterectomy went well. It was vaginally and no holes or cuts in stomach so faster recovery!! Yea!! But for now I am sore and I do have pain still but not as bad as it could have been. It is mostly like period cramps. It does feel like heavy feeling in there. But it is relieved by my pain pills. I take only the minimum, I hate taking those. So any way hopping by week two I can go for walks down the road! Anyway the only other thing is fatigue I am fighting. But for now I am just going with it. If I am tired I am sleeping. No hero here lol.
I want to recover do I can get back to exercise so I can get into my losing the fat again. I gained all the weight back again. When I went to hospital to check my weight sure enough it was right up there where it was last year! I was so upset. Got a lot of work to do. So while laying here I am watching my food intake!
 
So glad the surgery went well! Good for you for taking it easy AND watching your food intake, you know that's my struggle.

To finish up my rotation, I combined two days worth of workouts, but way shortened. I did low impact tabata from CF 10 min, skipped cool down and LIHI chest, tris, shoulders, one set each, no finishers, about 15 min, and skipped warm up. Tomorrow will be the last of the rotation!! LIHI Legs, but I will try to do just the strength part, 30 min. Today was enough to get my heart rate up, but not a ton and it felt good to lift again, but my right shoulder wasn't feeling perfect, so I don't know what is up with that. I hope I can do the max 30, but I'm not sure I'm going to be up for it. And they now sell the containers separately, $20 including shipping and tax. I would like to join an online group for that...

hi girls! today was RWH legs for me, plus about 35 minutes of yoga. my legs feel completely fried. I am now on the last week of the 60 day RWH rotation, and am wondering what I should do next. our schedules are going to be completely insane for February and the first part of march. all sorts of competitions to run the kids to, plus alec travels to boston and L.A., and we have some applications for the other kids to get in. sometimes it feels like it will never let up! I am just anxious for the auditions to be over with, though, and hoping beyond hope that alec makes it into colburn in L.A.. not sure how we would afford the conservatory in boston, as tuition is over 60,000 and then also room and board. in L.A., both tuition and room and board are free, plus each student receives a stipend each year. I think total expenses there would be around $5000. talk about a huge difference! so, on top of all the running around, I think imala has mono :-(. she has all the symptoms and still kept going full throttle every day last week in order to get an application in for Curtis that was due Friday. yesterday she was totally wiped out and I made her stay home from performance class. called the doctor and am bringing her in tomorrow afternoon-- she has no choice but to stay home tomorrow! she wanted to work out on Friday, and I looked up mono and I guess your spleen is enlarged and could rupture if you work out! scary stuff, so I want to bring her in and see what we are dealing with, or if it is some other weird virus. she has been doing RWH, too-- first the getting started rotation and then started the 60 day one-- but will have to pick up when she is better.

renee-- so good to hear from you and I am so grateful that the surgery went well and you aren't in too much pain! I have been thinking of you! sorry about the weight gain, but hopefully once you heal from this your headaches will be gone and you can get in the best shape ever:).


ladylep-- I hope your family is doing okay through these tough times. great that you are still getting workouts in! I don't even know what the 30 max is? are you starting some other workout routine? oh, and aren't you close to philly? if imala gets in to this program in the summer, Nygel and I will be coming out for the last few days to see her performances and fly back with her. I don't know philly at all, but I guess it is in Rittenhouse (sp?) square? hoping imala gets in this program, as she really wants to do it (and I wouldn't mind a trip to someplace new, either!).

hello again-- quick update: got in Low impact hiit 1 plus abs 2. my right hip flexor was super sore. no sleep last night :-(. hope everyone is having a good day!
 
No wo to report, I'm still unable to put in my contacts, so I'm still not feeling 100%.

Thanks for all the thoughts on Roger, he is doing better today, just a little, hopefully he will continue to improve and not have to go back into the hospital.

Weight is up to 172! My new mini WW goal is to get down to 167 by the end of the month. This week my plan to do that is to get enough rest, I need 7-8 regularly, more when I'm sick. Track my food, not worrying about about points, just write everything down. Lastly, drink my 80 ounces of water daily. Workouts will come with more rest and health. And they are easy for me compared to portion control.
 
hi girls. today was lower body circuit again-- even after a somewhat good night's sleep that one still completely kicks my butt. glad it isn't on the rotation anymore! although, I only have 3 workouts left and the 8 weeks is up!

ladylep-- I am happy to hear that Roger is doing better! sorry about the weight. that is a smart observation, though, that the workouts come easy and the food stuff is more difficult. I need to focus more on the food! I do think, though, that since doing this rotation I have thinned out some, especially through my shoulders and my legs, if that makes sense! my stomach's loose skin just refuses to ever leave!

renee-- I hope you are continuing to heal well!

we have snow here today, and tomorrow morning I drive alec and imala in to school early for an honor roll breakfast. hoping the roads aren't horrid for the commute.

Hi you ladies
I am healing everyday
I kind of over did it one day had to stop and I did but I am back to resting. It is hard to do less us know! Lol.
I just am still sore and that is more irritating then anything. Else and I have a swelly belly!! I am trying to eat healthy started eating reg food again and I had spinach salad yesterday and then was bad and had popcorn with my son while watching supernatural lol
Today I had a shake for breakfast and a huge bowel of broccoli and Brussels sprouts with some butter sauce on them not to much sauce, for lunch and some spinach and a boiled egg. I am trying to eat for healing and not eating junk so when I start working out again I won't be to heavy on my knees!
 
Renee- glad you are healing up! Keep resting, your workouts will be waiting for you when you are ready. You are doing great with food, it sounds like!!

Finally! After 4 days of no wo's, I did LIHI Legs all strength 30 min! No coughing! I'm not ready for cardio. But I have finished the rotation!! Modified some, but finished! So now I need to get better to start Max 30!

I have been sugar free for 5 days now! Except for the honey in my tea. By day 3 it wasn't that big of a deal anymore. Now, when I make Little K's bday cake tomorrow night, then it will be tough! And I need to make something with the over ripe bananas I have, they are too ripe for smoothies...

I've been doing an inventory of my fridges and chest freezer, still have most of the upstairs fridge to go and the pantry (over spending last weekend for meal swap- made 6 meals and Super Bowl, etc, I need to basically only buy eggs, cheese and lettuce and fruit tomorrow!!) and I found some "power bars" I made for Easter in the freezer! They are totally made of nuts, seeds and dried fruit! So if I feel the need for something sweet, I will eat those! I think it's cashews, sesame seeds, raisins and dates, something like that, rolled into balls.

And speaking of Little K.. he has a fever, I love skiing, but I'm kinda really looking forward to spring and summer now!! So tired of being sick!!
 
I wish to buy T25 ! I have the insanity but I just found it to Hu be hard on my feet and I hear T25 is better on ur joints. Plus I heard the music in it and I like it better. Seems to have a beat. I want to sell insanity to buy T25. But I am missing one dvd!! Makes me mad.
I wish I can say I am sugar free! I had a small thing of vanilla ice cream with chocolate on it! I am starting to use glass containers instead of plastic. I heard that was healthier as well.

Oh did you all hear anything about How some singers have sold there soul to the devil? I was watching some stuff and they even say it. And they do symbols with there hands that are supposed to be satanic. It's strange even if you don't believe in that they do. Just some weird stuff going on out there.
Even though I been eating good bed not a lot I gained a pound. I guess I need to drink broth all day and nothing else till I can be more active Geez. I did go for a small walk. Doctor said to take walks when I felt up to it. A 10 or 15 minutes walk several times a DT to keep BLOODFLOW going in legs. As long as I don't lift anything twist or reach or lift heavy stuff and no jogging of course. And no deep cleaning but light cleaning as long as I don't overdo it. That is this week. I go see him 13 th hoping by then I can have permission to walk further or a light jog. Eek.. I may have to wait 6 hole weeks for that.. But I will wait if I must.
 
hi girls! well, today was upper body circuit and my *last day* of the 60 day totally ripped with HiiT rotation! I feel accomplished as it really was the toughest rotation I think I have ever done, and I never skipped a day or a workout:). I feel super sore today-- it came on yesterday in my upper body, possibly because I used heavier weights than cathe in the circuit on Wednesday and also in the low impact hiit yesterday, but I am so grateful that tomorrow is a rest day! I am not sure what I will do now. I am thinking about repeating the first 30 days of the rotation to make it a full 90 (like xtrain)-- plus, I want to do the LIHI weights more again, and those have been totally off the rotation for the past two weeks. I do think I have lost some weight-- I see more definition in my arms, legs and rear end. hoping I can keep this up. I may need an entire week of nothing but yoga, though, if all of this soreness keeps up. I do need to practice it more, as I know I have lost flexibility with this rotation and all of the pounding/compacting on my joints.

renee-- I am so happy to hear that you are feeling well! way to go on eating well, too! one treat is nothing! especially when you are recovering-- sometimes you need something to pick you up a little. the pics on facebook of you and the dogs in the bed are adorable! how sweet that they are keeping you company!


ladylep-- congratulations to you on finishing up on the rotation! woo hoo! so sorry that little K has another bug! you guys have been slammed this winter! I hope the birthday celebration goes well and you all get to be healthy for it!

feel like going to bed now, but will probably stay up to watch a midsomer murder show. alec is out at orchestra hall for a concert until 10/10:30, so will try to stay up until he gets home. tomorrow I have to bring he and imala to the University of Minnesota for their auditions there (imala is trying for the same PSEO program there that Alec has been in these past two years; he is auditioning as a backup, in case he doesn't get in the other conservatories that he wants). anyway, will be another early morning on a weekend (boo!), and then again on sunday as their chamber groups are switched to that day because of their stuff tomorrow.

Katie, way to go on finishing up the rotation!! Did you do any measurements before and after the rotation? I will take measurements when I start insanity max 30. I can't remember who asked what that was or if I answered it but it is Shaun T's latest workout seriesp, 30 min. He also did Insanity and T25. It is a Beach Body product.

I'm still not up for major cardio yet, I'm afraid of a coughing fit during. But weight training is great, I am sore today from yesterday! I may try something on the lighter side like slide and glide or some step, not sure what maybe party rockin step? Or a portion of BM 2? Depends on time and how I feel.

We had to cancel Little K' bday party as his fever came back tonight. :( so no plans tomorrow except baseball practice for B. I have some paper piles to sort and put away and will make Little K's cake. His bday is Sunday.

Day 5 of no sugar is complete! I even made my heavenly hot fudge sauce and didn't have any!! That was a little difficult but not terrible. I pulled out the power bars from the freezer to thaw a bit but I forgot about them! I have been eating pretty well, I. Are chicken and brown rice soup from scratch yesterday, but I haven't seen any weight loss. :(

Completed Party Rockin' Step #2 premix 1 no finished product 30 min. I did everything low impact and didn't cough at all, but it didn't feel great but was fun. If that makes sense. It's really not that much fun exercising with a sore throat! I wish this would just go away! Started that time of the month yesterday too, so that doesn't help. But I did get 8 hours of sleep last night and that does help.

Little K's fever seems to be gone, for now. But he has tons of stuff coming out of his nose. So I had to cancel his little bday party today, only 1 yes and 2 maybes. And tomorrow is his actual bday and we are supposed to go out to lunch and go to Oasis with extended family. Not sure that will happen either. Sunday School is out, so I'm guessing the other stuff may be out too.
 
Lady Lep how did you do it low impact? Just no jumping? I'm glad little K doesn't have a fever!

Yes, I did it all low impact except the few jacks.

He didn't have a fever this morning and ate breakfast and lunch, so hopefully he's in the mend!
