Hi everyone!
Not much new here. Ate poorly this weekend. And since I'm catching up online, I'm not on the bike. I feel porky right about now.
Yesterday I went to TJM while DH and DS went to Shaws (market) and they went bananas! Get this. They went in for clam chowder and juice, but also came out with ground beef (think pink slime!), Hamburger Helper (seriously??), powdered mashed potatoes
o), corned beef hash (in a can; nitrites, anyone??). I could just burst a vein. Isn't that always the way?? So darn ironic! You'd think I starve them or something.
I don't know what I'll do this summer when the fare is chockfull of burgers, hot dogs, s'mores, fried seafood, chowder...
. I'm going to try portobello burgers.
Lettuce, beets, sweet potatoes. Wish we were closer too, Missy. I love the idea of a veggie garden but I'm not that good at it. No knowledge and too lazy, I guess. You'd be a great teacher if we were neighbors. And I'd love your horses too.
Beets taste like the earth.
Can't get used to them, Carolyn.
Colleen, I hope all went swimmingly with DD's first communion! Congrats!
Omg, so upsetting about the Fitbit! It would eat me up inside too because I never lose things! Maybe someone found it and turned it in? If not, it's replaceable.
Carolyn, how fun your fishing trip sounds. Warm weather is so wonderful!
I would go to have your brows professionally done (<$20), and then follow up with the upkeep on your own. That's exactly what I did because I just couldn't get how to do it.
My eyebrows are pathetically sparse. And now that perimenopause has set in, my barely-existent lashes have grown even sparser, if that's possible!
That's why I really, really want to try Latisse, but for the forever maintenance and associated cost.
Plus, I worry about as-yet-unknown side effects.
Did you find something to occupy your time during the guys' Bruins time? I actually don't mind if I'm by myself.
Have not read about Lastics yet, but now you've made me curious.
Keep up with HC then!
Jean, it's ok to indulge. You torch the calories all week long with your getting the house ready. What a nice, relaxing day for you. You deserve it.
I am looking forward to Guilt Trip; waiting...
I just vacuum the surface of the beds. I never gave it any thought until I read it on Martha's mag. Think of all the dead skin and mites
. Nonetheless, I only do it once or twice a year.
Mary, hope you enjoyed the Cape and your sis and family time. We go to Falmouth, since it's a shorter drive; happily it's got all the major stores too! Chatham is absolutely one of the most gorgeous places though, especially by the shore!
Missy, can't wait till you get your bike! What you get done in one weekend, I might do in a week. I'm so slow!
You are amazing.
If we all lived close, we could do like Curves. All the equipment would be at Missy's ranch, and we'd do rotations on them! Other times, we would do Cathe together. Although if we weren't separated by thousands of miles, we'd not appreciate each as much.
On sweet potatoes, sometimes when I remember when I'm using the oven for something else, I put a whole bunch of them in there to bake as well. Then I just refrigerate them and take them out one by one to eat. I eat them cold.
Marie, hope you had a fab weekend. xoxo to B.
Ooh, I think I'll try BB LB tomorrow!
