STS first time!

Marie, sending huge luck your way! We're all rooting for you! Sounds like a very interesting rotation!
Snow! In April!

Colleen, your guns, er, arms look amazing! High five! So awesome!

Carolyn, you can take a rest day if you want. You've been go go go every single day!

Carolyn, ouch, hope your knee is ok. Did it hurt before you hopped out of the truck?

Colleen, nice arm definition!

Marie, the new job sounds fantastic, good luck!

Betty, today was Tufts. It has changed alot since I was there, lots of new buildings. Today, and on the other tours as well, I have been most impressed with how the students get involved in the community, we hardly did that in my day. Again, a huge crowd on the tour, and frigid with the wind. I still like the campus and the fact that it is so close to the city, but DD says it is too close to home. Oh well, at least it gives her something to compare to other places.

And she found a bathing suit. We had to go to the mall, which I hate, especially at 4pm. And I saw some of my younger DDs friends shopping in Victoria Secret. They are 13. Isn't that just wrong?

Haven't been able to warm up so I made a fire, going to spend the rest of the evening in front of it. Tomorrow we have volleyball tournaments and those will take up the whole day, so probably no workout. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

No workout for me today. I'm at work until 3:30. I definitely drag when I don't workout in the morning but I also know how important sleep is. Workout or sleep?! Oh the choices!

No plans for tonight except running to Target. We switched prematurely to size 3 diapers and my poor baby has been leaking through them. Gotta get some 2's. Oh course I'm sort of happy he is still in the smaller size. He is just growing up too fast already.

Thanks for the good luck ladies :)

Carolyn- Way to feed your chocolate craving. You deserve it! And will burn that off in no time. Sorry about your knee. Hope it feels better soon!

Mary- "Too close to home." Reminds me of when I was that age. They like to be independent that's for sure. I'm with ya on the VS thing. Unreal! My niece is 12 and shops there. The girl wears thongs and little sexy leopard print bras. I just don't get it. No offense to her mom because I love her but I would never let my 12 year old girl shop there, if I had one ;)

Hi to everyone else. Have a good Sunday :)

Hi girls!

Not much going on. Was on bike last night for 30 mins. I never want to sweat too much, and I go pretty low-key. I'm happy as long as I get some exercise in there while watching tv.
Which reminds me. Way to go, Carolyn and Colleen with Ride!!! I'm a long way off from matching Cathe, and going that many miles!!! Now that you guys have given it the thumbs-up, I'll have to try it next. But I don't want to do a Cathe spin in the morning if I've ridden the night before.

I'm with you gals on the VS thing! I am constantly baffled and shocked by moms who let their daughters shop and dress that way!!! Why call attention and have males start ogling sooner than necessary??

Carolyn, I have Skinny Cow sandwiches. The cookie part is soft and mushy:confused:. I should try the cherry cones that you and Jean rave about. Those cones stay crispy?
Not to worry. UY hasn't budged:confused:. You can review CrossTrain for us too! This is the same one in UY, right? So awesome you got it!

Marie, I used to find that whatever diaper size I needed, that would be the only one the store is out of!

Mary, I recall when we had the informational tour of DS's school, it was a cold, blustery fall day, and we were frozen!
I agree with you on the community involvement thing. Some high schools even do that now. Ours doesn't require community service to graduate, disappointingly.
Maybe DD would be happy with a campus in Western MA? How about Smith or Wellesley College? I think that even the local schools are far enough away from home once they get immersed in campus life. Believe me, they get so busy, they'll forget about home very quickly. Although girls do seem to get homesick more.

Jean, wassup?

Carolyn, good luck to DS at Sargent Camp!:)
To you too. You hang in there! You'll make it through the week! Breathe! Get a good night's rest!

Good luck this week Carolyn. I can't image how hard it will be.

Thanks for all the complements on my arms. I must say I am proud!

Yesterday I did cardio from UY. First time I did this I thought the cardio part was kinda easy. This time not so much. I burned 200 calories in 30 minutes! My heart rate was really up there. I did really enjoy it.

Today I did total body segments from BB one upper body. Which was weight work on the mat. You hold various plank positions with one hard while doing weight work with the other. Killer. Especially aster yoga yesterday. I didn't think my upper body got so much I a workout yesterday but I think I did.

Yesterday was a chill day with the family. Other than going to the grocery store. We stayed home all day. The kids got to play outside. It's going up to 75 here today!! To bad I have to work.

I feel the same way about VS. no way would I allow my 13 year old shop there. I agree that the parents are to blame.

Marie, good luck with the interview this week. I know you will do fantastic. What a great opportunity. So excited for you.

Betty, you will get there with the spin. I love that you do it at night while watching TV. Great way to burn extra calories!!

Hi Jean, hope all is well. How was your trip to your new house?

Mary, glad you DD found a bathing suit. When do you go on your trip? I can't wait for beach season to get here. I sure do miss going to he shore.

Hi Missy, hope you had a good run an weekend.

Marie, I found with DS that folding over the top made a big difference is the leaks getting out and getting his belly wet.

HiJean! So good to hear from you. Glad the house is coming. I've also read that about stall mats.

I LOVE my new yoga mat. Only thing I'm not to crazy about is the color. I went with a grayish / yellow instead of the purple that I usually gravitate towards. I was trying to change things up. I did get a purple yoga towel to go in top. The towel work wonders and I don't slip at all allowing me to go deeper and stay in poses longer. Im Very happy with my investment. The mat is really stable and gives me a good solid base for balance moves. I was getting so frustrated with my other mat and was fiddling with the mat more than focusing on yoga. Not anymore. I think I'm babbling now. Lol

Hit submit to quickly.

Good luck this week. I couldn't image not being able to talk to my son. I would want to talk to him every day.

Jean, would you be willing to give a tbsp of coconut oil to Bentley? Believe it or not, it's also beneficial to pets! Orally or topically (for any skin conditions). I have gone all out and am surrounded by several books on coconut oil at the moment:D! We should all OP with and ingest coconut oil.

I am eating my loaded oatmeal right now, having just finished KickMax. Love that workout too. It was one of those things I picked up on eBay, and I haven't regretted it a bit.

Carolyn, congrats to DS and you! Right now he is experiencing the time of his life! What a maturing event. He will be kept so busy during the day, and at night he might have a sad moment, but he'll conk out very fast!;)
HC will hit you like a truck soon, I'm sure.

Jean, your house progress is so exciting! Were you able to pick the orientation of the house to the sun? Did you say you're close to the water or can see water? I can't remember.
What do you do with all your pets when you both go see your new house?
Now that you mention the chocolate bottom, I have had SC cones before.
Whoa, high 70s? Not so soon for me! It's a bright cloudy here, but mild, heading to 60s possibly.

Colleen, your new mat sounds awesome! Stop putting ideas in my head!:D I have two layers of mats that I use, one Pilates, with a cheapie yoga one on top of it.
You're right about folding over the diaper front. That brings back memories now!
No communication with the kids while they're at camp. No exceptions except for emergencies! No electronics. Nada.

Ladies, it's never babbling! Continue to share your thoughts! I relish each and every word!:)

Sorry I have been mia since friday....so busy! I went and ran/walked with my friday saturday and sunday morning. It was so nice out.....

Tim and I were busy all weekend...but my privacy fence is up and its so nice.... super excoted....then we had tims parents over for dinner last night.

★Jean★... horse mats....i did that about a year ago...and they were only in my house for several hours....first of all they are 50+ pds....but they smell like massive rubber/tires....so strong...i was afraid it was going to make us/animals sick. So i took them back and got my money back!!!

Carolyn....i think you will loose more sleep than your baby! Good luck!

Colleen...your arms look amazing...keep up the good work!

Gotta run...bbl!

Jean--- The horse stall mats are always stored outside at the store...so you dont smell them....but OMG...Tim and I put them in our house and took them out in the middle of the night...we were bothing panicing for the babies....they were so cushy though....but they had to go....:D....so 6 months later....we put the wood floors down! And I just love them!!!!

Jean---take a nap....you deserve it...I am sure you are exhausted!

Jean, I daresay you must be sick of painting, so take as many days off as you need.
We go to a little association beach in the summer and it's awesome. (Ocean waves are too strong!) You have the perfect setup.

Carolyn, do the kids usually play with one another after school?
Maybe it's SuperCuts that has the extreme premix, and I don't like it because it is a repeat of earlier footage!
Has the camp send out an email or phone message with the kids' status?

Missy, I vaguely remember that you laid out the horse mats and took them off because of the toxic smell! I can smell them too:confused:.
How did you do the stars? That's cool.

We did get the sun here. It was gorgeous! I half-heartedly raked, and briefly. Didn't want to get all sweaty.:D

I have Coconut Cures, by Bruce Fife, right now. Anyone have any questions on ingesting coconut oil? For one, it is beneficial for IBD or IBS by improving intestinal health. Gosh, you'd think I'm a paid spokesperson for coconut oil!:D

Carolyn, DS is perfectly fine! Otherwise, you would have heard by now:D. Relax. He's having the time of his life! No mom and dad around, nor house rules. Friends 24/7. It's liberating!

Oh Carolyn, sorry you didn't sleep well. As Betty said, he is fine. I'm sure this week is much harder on you and DS. Hopefully tonight exhaustion will kick in and you will sleep better.

Carolyn, how is the knee today??

Today I did a spinervals workout. I did 15 miles in 45 minutes. I too didn't sleep well and got up late. Although I was wide awake in bed and finally decide I'd be more productive if I got up and worked out. So I got in a good 45 minutes spin. It's felt good to get some frustrations out.

I have my annual exam today so I'm waiting to be seen by the doctor.

Colleen, way to go with the spinning! That's some mileage at the crack of dawn!:D
Good luck at the doc's!

I am here to report that ingesting coconut oil helps with PMS symptoms. One woman's testimonial describes less pain! Carolyn, if you can't OP, then take a tbsp in your oatmeal. It melts & it has no taste. Missy, you must try it! Start with 1 tbsp daily, everyone. It's that simple. Cook with this oil and nothing else--that's another way to get some into your body. Dr Oz had a small segment on it too. Incidentally, his first point was that it helps you lose weight.
